Missed delivery promise

Missed delivery promise, seller knew it wouldn't arrive, then shifting timelines
I purchased a pool pump through an eBay listing for VM MP, LLC, fulfilled by Spreetail, which advertised "FREE 1-3 Day Delivery" and guaranteed delivery by July 1. That delivery date was the entire reason I bought the item — my pool was inoperable and I needed it urgently.
The item did not arrive by the promised date. Spreetail offered a $20 discount early on as an apology — before any real resolution was attempted — which suggested they already knew the item would not arrive on time.
When I asked to cancel and receive a refund instead, Spreetail refused, saying the order was "already in transit" and I'd need to wait for it to arrive and initiate a return through eBay. What followed was a pattern of shifting deadlines: I was first told a 4-business-day window would close July 7, then told it would close July 3, then told it had moved again to July 6 — each revision pushing resolution further out. The fact that this window kept moving suggests the seller couldn't confirm whether the item would arrive within 4 business days at all, let alone by the date originally promised. Meanwhile, eBay's own tracking showed the package scheduled for delivery on a different day entirely than any of the dates I was given.
I reached out to VM Innovations directly hoping for better support, but got no meaningful resolution there either.
If you're considering buying from this seller expecting the delivery guarantees advertised, be cautious — my experience showed those commitments are not reliable, and getting help when they're missed is a frustrating, drawn-out process.

Another false advertising problem with this vendor

Another false advertising problem with this vendor. Ordered a very expensive piece of gym equipment only to have them send me the wrong model. Twice. It's clearly a different model than the one described on the Walmart website. VMInnovations is trying to explain this is a "newer" model but the durable high-resistance metal springs now replaced with poor quality elastic cords. It's a cheap knock-off that they are trying to pass off as the higher-end model. Still have not received the correct model from them. Somewhat surprising Walmart allows VMInnovations to get away with false advertising on the Walmart site.

Required Extreme Action

Purchased Trash Can from Walmart Online.
Not satisfied with the product. WM approved in-store return, sent confirmation email w/barcode.
Attempted return, informed I needed a separate label from the Marketplace seller; VM Irritations.
VMI refused to send the WM label. Insisted I pack the item ("i could get a box from any grocery store...") attach the RMA label and take pkg to a FedEx location.

Nuh-Uh. Runaround stinks and I've got nose overload.

I insisted on compliance with WM return policy.
VM Irritations refused.
They received my rather 'pointed' email alluding to further decisive actions compelling redress.
Here's to hoping it works.

The winning email (if it'll post):

"Greetings.
You’ll find the information you’ve requested clearly displayed on the included copy of my purchase agreement with Walmart, Inc.
It’s become apparent that you (dba: VMI, VM Innovations (incl any/all affiliation with Spreetail, LLC)) lack intent to promptly and deliberately redress the complaint (referenced throughout) satisfactorily, mattering to myself and others interested.
This Walmart Customer is clearly dissatisfied; the reasons for dissatisfaction will be made plain and clear to the five (5) financially interested parties.
I (Walmart Sales Agreement Participant), insist you promptly deliver to me (email address), all exact, completed and relevant (stress “all”) documents and labels containing information required to facilitate this items return to my nearest Walmart store. If you are unsure of the exact labeling requirements, you can direct your inquiry to Walmart, Inc. tel: (800) 966-6546, (833) 849-6400, (800) 925-6278 or by any other means at your disposal.
Please note, Speedtail LLC lists their location in Hutchins, TX. As a Texan, I’m keenly aware that additional State regulations may be applicable to Spreetail, LLC.
I anticipate a sincere and prompt compliance with my fully inclusive demand. I'm confident all involved parties also look forward your friendly cooperation.
Excepting delivery of the exact materials requested, there is no need for our direct (via Speedtail / Walmart) correspondence.
Correspondence involving VM Innovations will now be according to Walmart, Speedtail and my debit card holder.
L. Michael
ETA: Noted VM Innovations Customer Service has a history of complaints regarding poor, frustrating interactions as recent as November 2025 and dating back to at least 2016. Just an FYI for all in case they’ve been overlooked."

UPDATE: Less than 3 hrs after receiving my email, I received a text:
"Return complete Refund issued on Dec 11"

Apparently, I don't even have to return the trash basket.

VM Irritations AND Spreetail must've realized the headache and potential for serious accountability to Azon, Ebay, WM and others wasn't worth $43.29
Discovering their TX location was helpful - we've got monster size consumer recourse.

Good Luck to You!

DO NOT USE!

DO NOT USE!! *** Trash company. They picture full products and you don’t see that they’re partial orders / returns. When I received my package it was completely destroyed. Offering no solutions other than “as is” sale I asked what exactly what shipped? They have no idea. My package of small parts with holes and major damage who is to say even the partial order I bought even came? They said it would be “mostly” there. Maybe 20% of this order showed up. Never again.

Do not buy open box items

I purchased an open-box pool drain cap from VM Innovations, and when it arrived it already had a crack in it. When I went to install it, it immediately started leaking. I contacted the company within two days of receiving the item, but they refused my return, saying it was a "final sale." I was never made aware of that, and regardless, it shouldn't apply when the product arrives defective and unusable. Very disappointed in this company's customer service and policies. Thankfully, my credit card company stepped in and credited me the charge.

I purchased a pilates reformer

I purchased a pilates reformer. The padded platform is damaged. I asked for a partial refund so I can buy a new part. They refused. They want me to return the 98 pound reformer. I paid someone to bring the reformer into my basement and put it together. I cannot even move the machine. They don't care.

NEVER order from Spreetail

I ordered an inflatable hot tub and realized it was too small a few hours after ordering. When I got it I setup a return and sent it back unopened. They wrote back after receiving it and said that it was "unsellable". Then proceeded to charge me the maximum 50% restocking fee that Amazon's policy allows. $235.00 I have shopped with Amazon 10+ years and never had Amazon.com or a third party seller screw me over like this. I would NEVER recommend this seller. I will be sure to stay clear of Spreetail for all future purchases and recommend that you save yourself money and do the same.

I would give a 0 if I could

I would give a 0 if I could. I ordered a round cutting board and was sent a square one. I reported it to Amazon and the seller, all of a sudden my order of a round cutting board was delivered. I was suppose to have until August to return the Square cutting board that I did not even order but Spreetail harrassed me daily until I just wanted to be done with it. Now on my day off from work I'm having to wait on FEDEX from 8a to 6p to pickup a shipment that I never ordered, what a waste of my time for an incident that was completely their fault. Will never order from this company again and can clearly see why they are not listed on the BBB.

Ordered a rowing machine from Walmart...

I have a story pretty much like everybody else. I ordered a Stamina rowing machine from Walmart, noticing that it would actually come from Spreetail, a company Walmart has listed as a "Pro Seller." I should have done some research, but I had never had a negative experience ordering from Walmart. At first it seemed really impressive. The item shipped immediately by Fed-Ex and arrived two days later. But it wasn't a rowing machine, it was a pet gate. Spreetail had sent me an email (which I thought was an official email from Walmart) instructing me that if there were any problems with my order, to reply to this email. So I replied to this email immediately.

I explained by email what had happened. The person on the other end kept me online for two and a half hours answering various questions, giving him numbers off the labels, model number of the pet gate, tracking numbers, etc... When all was said and done the person at Spreetail did not offer any solutions. The email back-and-forth took an eternity, and I finally wrote and said I had to get offline. Overnight I researched Spreetail and saw the reviews at Trust Pilot and the BBB. Plainly, I have been scammed by this company and should have researched it before placing the order.

Seeing the tremendous trouble people are having with this company, I will think about whether to fight this or write it off as a disaster. But I will inform Walmart of what transpired.

This morning I also looked at similar rowing machines at Amazon, only to see that SpreeTail is also the shipping party on those too. So we have yet another issue to concern ourselves with: What company is actually responsible for sending the items we order from otherwise reputable companies? It's especially problematic when SpreeTail is presented as a company that seems to have been endorsed by Walmart by being labeled as a "Pro Seller."

I just wanted to share this story in the hopes that others will take all the reviews here seriously (as I didn't). It's really not a good feeling to get scammed out of $170 and know it might have been avoided if I'd researched Spreetail.

Do not use this seller!

Ordered an item and it was not delivered. Attempted to contact seller to organise a refund or replacement item to be refused. They could also not provide me with proof of delivery to confirm that the order had been delivered as they said!
The reason for the refusal to help me was that it was outside of their 30 day refund policy, how can I get a refund on a product I never received?
Terrible service and will never use again. I have reported the seller to Amazon!

Bad idea to buy used Lake Raft

I bought a used lake raft. I am a grandmother and the kids were very excited to use it. Not only was there a leak in the outer ring of the raft, there were also missing parts for the shade structure. We tried to use it a bit as it lost air but we were also at Trinity Lake in 94 degree weather so with no shade, no one lasted very long. I bought it in advance of the trip, so return window was over and I was screwed.

0-Star Review - Avoid this company

0-Star Review: Terrible Company – Avoid at All Costs

I had an awful experience with this company. They sent me a defective mattress—only the middle inflated properly, rising to about 12 inches, while the edges and corners stayed flat at just 3 inches. It's completely unusable, and nothing like what was advertised.

When I contacted customer service, they refused to take it back unless I returned it in the original box—which, of course, is impossible after opening and expanding the mattress. Their "solution"? They told me to find a mattress-sized box at a grocery store. What grocery store carries boxes big enough for a queen or king mattress? Completely unreasonable.

They’ve made it clear they won’t stand behind their product or provide a fair return process. This is a shady return policy designed to trap customers. I strongly recommend avoiding this company and buying from a brand with real customer service and a trustworthy return policy.

Avoid this scamming seller

Purchased a hammock off Amazon. Item was shipped and sold by Spreetail. I opened the item and tried it out. It did not feel sturdy enough for me to be confident in using it, especially with children. I opened a return request through Amazon which was granted. Like most others, a message for a 10% refund was received. I did not want the item as it was more of a hazard so I opted to return it fully. Label was provided by Amazon and the item was sent back.

Product was received back on June 28th. I received a reply from the seller noting that I would be receiving half my money back because of damage, missing parts, etc. I told them there was no way as it was tried once and repacked. The only thing that would be missing was the original box.

I requested the seller send me pictures of the returned item along with as list of items that were missing. That request was denied and was giving the generic reply that it was missing items and was damaged. I, again, requested pictures to which they replied "We're unable to provide photos of individual or specific items that have been returned to us. However, the item returned for your purchase had one or more of the following apply: - Items are returned with damage or missing parts. - Items are not in their original condition. - Returns are made outside the 30-day return/exchange window. - Items show signs of use not caused by Amazon or seller error."

At this point, I replied with "I would like to request visual proof of this "damage." There was no damage when it was returned. If this proof cannot be provided, then I request the restock fee be reevaluated or the item sent back to me for my own disposal." I have yet to receive a response back.

I have reached out to Amazon for assistance and reported the seller.

Update 7/2/2025 - seller continued to deny my requests for proof of damage. I was finally able to get an Amazon representative to look into the issue and the rep went ahead and refunded the entire amount to me with no help from the seller.

If this seller is the only one with the product you need, make sure you are 10000% positive you are going to keep it and not attempt a return because I can almost guarantee they will screw you for half your money if you do.

A Hundred Dollar Restocking Fee Rip Off!

I purchased an inflatable Boat via Amazon (not knowing this was where it was coming from). Once out of the box we found the air pump that arrived with it inadequate & faulty, it also wouldn't hold the air we got in. We did the right thing and started an Amazon Return, got a UPS label and sent it back to Spreetail, LLC in Lincoln, NE. I tracked it, they received it (6/24/2025). They then sent an email ( evening 6/24/2025)stating they would only credit us back $99.00 of the $199.00 spent on it stating they were charging us a restocking fee. Of 100 Dollars? That's robbery. Nothing on the return label ever mentioned a restocking fee for damaged goods, or any other goods. In all my years on Amazon I never ran into anything like this. I've worked in the supply chain, we never charged anything remotely that insane as a restocking fee.
It took me awhile but I got through to Amazon about the issue. Double check your shipper/vendor on Amazon. At all costs avoid this company, they are a rip off.

Same as others. Sent the bike rack back two days after I received it because it was not compatible. Offered a 10% discount to keep the item. Returned it, alleging the product was damaged, missing parts, etc. Would only refund 50%. Simply untrue, never used it. This company should not be on Amazon and has no integrity. I
