Vodafone has been charging me 5.99€ a month for YEARS for their Kids Planet subscription that I was unaware that had been activated and that was hidden in my phone bill amongst other unwanted add ons included in my package. I have been over charged 280€ in total and they are refusing responsibility. They say my personal info must have been used to activate it . That's absolute rubbish! .... And I don't even have kids!!
Horrible service
Horrible service. Had home internet for few days, then something happened and it's lost. They haven't managed to fix it for 8 days. 2 days ago the technician came and said he can't do anything, some other guy has to come and fix it in other floors and now again no info. Totally unacceptable.
they are the worst
they are the worst, they have constantly overcharged me twice and they couldnt even explain why theyt are the worst phone company in spain
WARNNING FOR VODAFONE
This must be the worst company I have ever dealt with. Two times I have topped up my prepaid card with 10 euro each time. It does not show on the app. When you call their English service in Spain they either speak such bad English that it is impossible to understand and they have not been able to solve the problem although I have sent a copy of the bank statement. The solution provided ist that I should go to their office in Torremolinos, a 1 hour drive. Its like the tv series Little Britain: computer says no.
Deceptive sales calls
Got called from a salesperson offering a "free" mobile phone for extending my contract. I repeatedly said I dont want the phone, as I dont need it, but they insisted I only had to pay 3EUR in tax. I got the phone in the mail, then noticed additional monthly charges. When I called support to see why, they said the recording from the original sales call was broken, and thus they couldn't confirm if indeed the salesperson offered a free phone. So the phone I didn't need I have to pay for! Deceptive sales practices, and Im cancelling this contract.
HORRIBLE customer service
HORRIBLE customer service. I tried to transfer the internet from 1 person to another: 3-4 calls every day from a different person stating something completely different, the old contract holder is still getting charged weird payments, I am not getting replies to any emails. Stay for away from Vodafone Spain
Vodafone hasn't refunded overpayment caused by thier error. ue to thier error.
We changed our phone and Internet package with Vodafone and they messed up cancelling the old one and started charging us for both. Despite us telling them they didn't sort this out. Eventually we cancelled via our bank and then Vodafone told us we were being pursued for an unpaid bill. They did eventually withdraw this but still haven't refunded the duplicate payments. Now nearly a year later, they still haven't refunded the overpayments they took.
Customer service when there is a problem is appalling. Maybe they deliberately to make it so hard to get money back that customers will just give up?
I have been a Vodafone customer for several years, but recently my experience has been very negative due to incorrect charges on my bills.
In June 2025 I was wrongly charged €228.42 under the concept of "tariff commitment." After contacting customer service several times, I was assured that the issue would be corrected, but the July invoice did not reflect any adjustment. To my surprise, in August the same amount was charged again, resulting in disproportionately high bills with no clear justification.
Customer service has failed to resolve the issue despite my repeated claims, and the lack of transparency and efficiency generates great mistrust. A telecommunications company should be clear and fulfill what it promises its customers.
In my case, the experience has been very disappointing, and I would not recommend Vodafone because of its billing management and the ineffectiveness of its customer service.
Horrible company
Horrible company, and the two 11 year old girls in the shops were a perfect reflection of an awful company.
My mother had a stroke in the UK. I rushed back and bad to purchase a replacement phone due to a broken phone.
When I returned to Spain it was impossible to obtain a replacement esim. People in stores useless.
I called and after 4 hours made multiple promises that matter would be resolved, was not and just a fat lie.
Total waste of time company, horrible, horrible.
Never again would I waste time on such an awful organization.
Disgusting and terribly run.
Vodafone Es - customer service or lack of
A simple request to repair my internet , send an engineer has failed to materialise after numerous calls to customer service . Its incredible .Give me false information - technical service will call that never do . No confidence in this company at all . Avoid
Avoid Vodafone
Absolutely the worst provider in Spain and rude customer service!
I purchased the Vodafone ES esim for personal use and hot-spotting.
I purchased the Vodafone ES esim for use in the Canaries, as a 10-day, 50 GB data-only service (though I was also given a NL phone number). As it was connected to (but apparently no longer managed by) Vodafone (not sure if this is true), I was expecting a reliable service - I was very misguided in that assumption.
This service was deplorable and I wasted hours trying to keep it running so that my kids could watch a little TV in the evenings. From the moment I installed the eSim I was constantly resetting, rebooting, disconnecting/reconnecting, etc. to the Vodafone ES 5G (or sometimes the LTE) network. Most of the consumed 50 GB bandwidth was wasted as content had to be constantly rerun because of perpetual buffering (1 minute of content followed by 2 minutes of buffering).
I would stay far away from this service.
To demonstrate the paucity of the Vodafone ES service in the Canaries, if I switched the eSIM to manual network selection, the network to immediately appear was MoviStar, followed maybe 10+ seconds later by Vodafone ES and Orange (excellent vs poor network strength). My suggestion would therefore be to find a reasonably priced eSIM (there are numerous) which uses the MoviStar network - by way of a recommendation, I subsequently purchased a very reasonably priced unlimited eSIM from another supplier which used the MoviStar network and the service was extremely reliable (not perfect, but comparatively excellent).

Vodafone is a ripoff with their prepago. It does not come with SMS messaging and the customer service is terrible. with their customer service I was not able to resolve the issue.
Internet only
I'm talking about the internet only, as with the phone service I got no problem.
My very expensive internet worked very bad in my apartment, so I asked Vodafone to improve it. They sold me V6 router for the extra costs, but nothing helped. Finally I swapped them for DiGi, which changed the installation. For my enormous surprise, DiGi technician said that cable from Vodafone wasn't even fibreoptical, so they did all their efforts for helping me with 100% acknowledge that they can't approve anything.
I will never trust them again.
My foreign sim card has better coverage…
My foreign sim card has better coverage in Barcelona than local VodafoneES. Also, if you're on pay as you go, they will throttle your data speed 2 days before you need to top up! Scammy is a polite way to describe their "service" that barely works as a minimum.
DO NOT APPROACH
Probably the worst company ever dealt with -
Took a phone (2 lines), internet (600mb), Netflix, Disney, Prime and MAX for the price of 49€ per month. My first bill was 102€ second bill 76€ thirds bill 92€. Called daily as internet not working and wrongly billed. Absolutely no customer service. Shocking customer service, rude and putting the phone down, no managers, not possible to speak to anyone.
At the end I had to recall all the money paid via my bank (successfully) and moved to a different provider.
This company has an overall 1 star review after thousands people like me got screwed over.
NOT RECOMMENDED
Truly incredible that upon trying to change services they called me over 15 times in less than two days, from morning to night (this is before I blocked the number...), with all kinds of offers in order to retain the service. Upon kindly expressing that for cost reasons I would like to proceed with a change, in each interaction they became rude and persistent, insisting and offering a TV, a 75% permanent discount (far beyond a modest reduction in price that I had called to request years before with little sympathy), a new phone, bundled tv services..the list goes on. In each case I kindly communicated that I am just going through the process to change to a different provider - at which point they began to claim that I would be opening myself up to security vulnerabilities and foregoing one of the best services in the market etc etc.....Now, I am trying to return my router and I am running into the same type of game playing and rudeness. Maybe this company should spend some time improving the cost-benefits to their actual clients and ensuring their service is easy and understandable, rather than a labrynth of preferential discounts depending on who you negotiate with....instead of aggressively aiming to retain those who are moving to alternative services.
If I could give a 0 star I would.
If I could give a 0 star I would.
The service has been bad since day one.
Vodafone sent someone to install the broadband, who was rude and he swore whilst on the job. When working from home I noticed the reception was poor. I complained and they sent the same person who changed the router, but things got worse as he left me without internet at the back of the flat, and couldn’t have cared less. I had to complain again, which was awful as each time I had to keep calling, and the customer service was terrible. I eventually got one guy who was knowledgeable and respectful he agreed to send another engineer. The whole installation problem took almost 2 weeks. Finally, the internet was left working both at the front and back of the flat.
However, I have just seen my bill and they’ve charged me for the engineer visit. Vodafone didn’t even have the courtesy of letting me know in advance. They just took money from my account at their pleasure.
I can’t wait to leave this company their broadband is slow and their customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Thankfully a year goes fast.
I wish I’ve heard all the people who told me not to use it, so disappointing I thought better of them for some reason, maybe because of their prices which are not cheap. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.
