I have never experienced such a frustrating and incoherent service from a company in my entire life.
On June 2nd, I enquired about broadband through their online chat service. Signed a contract, with an engineer scheduled to visit on 23rd. Took a while but fair enough as I was unavailable for the initial appointment that was scheduled. Open Eir engineer visited, installed equipment and after leaving, I realised Vodafone cancelled the order. Contacted them again to ask why with no explanation. A new order was placed, this time an engineer visited associated with Virgin Media (??). He said the job was too big for him alone and left, saying he'd need more people (this was all despite the Eir equipment having been installed already).
Contacted Vodafone a third time to understand what to do now. I was advised this order should be cancelled and that they could route the service via the Eir installation from 23rd.
A new modem was sent out to me, even though one was already installed. I got a text message to say 'don't plug it in just yet'. Waited a further 4 days with no further instructions.
Logged into My Vodafone, which in and of itself is a nightmare and see two different account numbers with no active services under each.
Called again and couldn't speak to a human. A robot was continuously asking me basic questions like is the modem plugged in? I instead tried the live chat option, to which I was told there's no active orders and is there anything else I can help you with.
5 wasted weeks. 2 enginner visits. 2 modems. 3 separate contracts. Multiple cables. 4 calls and many many online chats, all for absolutely nothing. I've bagged up all equipment I've recieved from them and I'm dumping it into the nearest Vodafone store to ensure I don't get charged.
From this experience, it seems as though Vodafone have no awareness of the third party companies installing their equipment. Support reps in chats are friendly but give conflicting information. I've been working from home off a hotspot for weeks now and I'm almost on the verge of leaving them for mobile as well.
Will try Eir with 1.5/5 star reviews, might get better care and attention.
AVOID.

I had an excellent experience with Abdul from the customer support team at Vodafone ROI. From the very beginning of the interaction, he stood out for his professionalism and genuine willingness to help. He took the time to actively listen to my concerns without interrupting, which immediately made me feel heard and valued as a customer.
What impressed me most was his ability to empathise with my situation rather than simply following a scripted response. Instead of offering generic solutions, Abdul carefully assessed the issue and provided clear, practical steps that led to a real resolution. His approach was both efficient and reassuring, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of customer needs.
It is rare to come across customer support representatives who combine patience, empathy, and effectiveness so well. Abdul not only resolved my issue but also made the entire experience smooth and stress-free.
He is undoubtedly a valuable asset to Vodafone ROI, and his level of service sets a high standard for customer care. I truly appreciate his support and would be delighted to interact with him again in the future.
