m extremely disappointed with Vodafone Netherlands. Without warning—apart from a single email—I was hit with a €10 monthly increase simply because I turned 30 and lost the “young discount.” Even though I plan to return to being a Ziggo customer in just 2–3 weeks, they unilaterally changed my contract with no opportunity to prevent it or challenge the change.
This is unacceptable. It feels like a sneaky tactic: age-based pricing changes should never drop someone into a higher rate without proper notice and options to object. Vodafone sent just one email and expected me to accept a €10 increase. That’s not transparent or fair.
I expect a telecom provider to communicate clearly, offer reasonable notice, and allow customers to opt out of such changes—especially when they result in extra charges. I’m not impressed.

Horrible customer service! I have been with this provider for some years and was happy with their mobile services. However, since I made an adjustment in my subscription, I started receiving very high bills which were not correct. After calling them the first time to discuss these costs they were quite friendly and admitted to their mistake even though I thought I made these costs myself in the first place. The second time this happened I figured they made a mistake again and decided to call and discuss the bill. The customer service employee had a very degrading tone and without looking into details he decided these costs were surely my own mistake, even though I explained and knew that this could never be. I still don’t know if that second bill will be credited. Then I decided to change to a different provider and when I called to cancel my subscription, again, I was spoken to by two employees who acted as if I am stupid. The irritation in their voices astonished me. The products of Vodafone are fine, but I do not recommend getting a subscription here because of the way you are treated on the phone. It is truly disrespectful.

I have recieved invoice for Feb for 219 euro(I was out of Netherlands and I agree with the bills)
I came back to Netherlands in May end, I had a chat with your customer support team to enquire about making international calls, one of your colleague confirmed me that I already have bundle which will allow me to make international calls for 50 min and I need to pay 5 euro for that specific day, after your confirmation , I made a internal calls for may be 30 or 40 min, since I had reached almost 50 min limit, I had changed the bundle with 150 min for 8.5 euro bundle and then made international calls.
All of sudden you sent me invoice for July month for 410 euro and when I called you , you said it is because I made international calls.
I had to call several times may be 5 or 6 times because until I find a person who can speak to me in English I can not convey you neither you understand what I am talking about.
I explained you those international calls were made only after confirmation from your support team via vodafone ziggo app, but you very conviniently denied it and put all blame on me and told me to make 410 euro payment.
Now, imagine I have requested you for payment arrangement for Feb invoice(219 euro) already for 4 installment, knowing this I am in financial hardship , do you think I will make further international calls and add another 410 euro to my unpaid invoice.
I tried all my best to convince you but you have denied it to provide waive off on 410 euro.
Ok, now I accpeted to pay back to you , but. with payment arrangement , because I am the same person who asked you for Feb invoice (219 euro) payment arrangement and there is no way I can pay 410 euro in one go.
Now, you are denying me payment arrangement for both feb invoice (219 euro),and July invoice (410 euro) and blocked my number until I make the payment.
I have used Lebra before and their international calls are just 0.15 sents per min, if I add bundle of just 5 euro I get 1200 min valid for one month(20 hours) and vodafone charges 1 euro per min for international calls, see the difference.
Not just charges, I have lebara sim and your vodafone sim as well, when I do whatsapp video call there is lot of disturbances , video call gets freezed multiple times, and breakage.. but if I use lebera network for whatsapp video call it's crystal clear.. I can prove it in front of you .. your internet network is very poor...
You really need to be customer friendly in terms of service, and product you are offering...
Well, I am not here to do blame game but , denying payment arrangement request for nearly 630 euro and blocking the number until I pay.
Do you think this is polite and justified even after i paid you average 70 euro every month since August 2024..
it's just 2 month invoice m requesting for payment arrangements because of my financial hardship.
FYI , My customer id is 5

Thanks for your reply Vodafone, as I mentioned you have blocked my number also blocked access to vodafone ziggo app and hence I can not be reachable on my number also I can't message in the app. I can confirm there is no miss call since I posted this original message here which means it is not active.
But today 18th August ,I see I am able to call customer care number ,probably you would have enabled itz i will try to message in the vidafoneziggo app and update you if there is success.
Hello Team I am unable to open chat option it is disabled for me.. but if you think my number is working then please call me so that we can speak
I had word with you team on 1201 because that's the only number I can dial... They told me my invoices will go to debt collectors and I will lose my phone number, vodafone can not provide payment arrangements..

They are thinking i'm stupid or what?!?! Because i'm a foreigner i'm an inferior person and i will be treated like they want. Guess what, i will not pay my subscription anymore till the moment they will activate my sim card. They keep pushing me to use an eSIM, unfortunately my second number, second subscription on Vodafone i want to use on my older phone. Unfortunately the customer support is very very bad service.

Problems throughout the 2 year contract. It's near impossible to get past the automated menus without being cut off.
Constant billing errors. The last being a 26 euro charge for data outside the EU - seems my phone connected to a satellite tower when my flight landed versus connecting to Vodafone tower. 6 Mins it was connected cost 25 Euro. No mention anywhere by Vodafone that this could happen. I'm told to check the Standard European Aviation laws. Who would know to do that! No apology from Vodafone that the network wasn't available on landing therefore connected to the tower.
Not worth the frustration. Contract ended.

I went to the Vodafone store in Hoofddorp on 17 May to get a new phone under the Volop Weekend offer. I ended up paying €720 for a device that costs €648 through Belsimpel, with the exact same Vodafone contract. No one mentioned that, no one compared prices, and I didn’t even get the phone on the spot. It was delivered later.
Worse, I was pressured into Vodafone's insurance with lines like “you can only take it out right now” and “you can always cancel it later.” I was about to ask about AppleCare+ when another staff member overheard and jumped in with a hard pitch. They told me repairs could cost €700 and strongly pushed the insurance. I agreed under pressure, only to find out AppleCare+ covers more and costs less.
They never mentioned the trade-in deal either. I was offered accessories I didn’t need, had to say my income and loans out loud in a busy store, and was rushed through every step. I expected an impersonal experience, but this was pure upselling and manipulation.
I tried to complain digitally, but Vodafone’s email bounces, chat is broken, and the complaint form redirects to a dead page. When I called, they stalled until I reminded them I was still within the 14-day cooling-off period. Only then did they admit I should go to the store to cancel.
I strongly advise others: compare with Belsimpel first, and never take insurance in-store without checking AppleCare+. Vodafone does not look out for your best interest — especially in stores.

Horrrible experience with cancellations. I moved abroad therefore I wanted to cancel my subscription. Chatbot says: call us. I call, they say fill a form. I fill a form, the response does not take into account that I moved abroad. I call again, I do not receive SMS (from VODAFONE to a VODAFONE phone number, ironic) from them so they cannot verify me, 1 hour on the phone and nothing... The representative on the phone tells me to go to a store, which I did when I was in Leiden in the Netherlands to hear they do not do cancellations, it is only done via phone". They representative on the phone keeps saying "well they had to...". How is this my problem, I have no idea.
With Ziggo, the whole process was 5 minutes. I cannot understand how Ziggo can be so efficient and Vodafone is a headache.

Worst experience ever, they're scamming me also with ziggo..
I'm spending days since first week of the subscription without coverage,
I tried to cancel the subscription after within 2 weeks but ziggo slowed me, now I'm recieving bills with money I don't know anything about, and and no signal for 3 weeks last month,
And they wanted me to pay 3 months in advance to cancel the subscription..
Wants me to pay 3 months I will not use it to cancel my subscription otherwise they will take bills and money from nowhere and no coverage !!!

Not clear instructions of how the whole thing works. No agents to discuss with (was waiting for one hour) and I managed to lose over 50 euros within 2 weeks, where the bundle was about to be renewed, and they kept drew money from my bill without renew it.
Strongly discourage you of choosing this company.

Two words: STAY AWAY!
First of all, be careful as Vodafone can lock you into long contracts without making it clear. If you want to terminate early, you’ll still have to pay 50% of the remaining fees (something staff often fail to mention).
Second of all, terrible customer service. I submitted two online requests to terminate my contract—no response for over a month. Spent 1.5 hours on the phone and spoke to 6 different departments. Got transferred repeatedly, most staff didn’t speak English, and one even hung up on me—twice. For a global company, this is unacceptable. A few staff were helpful, and eventually someone did manage to terminate it—but it should never be this complicated. Terrible experience. Avoid Vodafone.
(On top of these, when I moved to Australia in February, I had a layover in Dubai. Upon landing there, I recived notifications on my phone and only then have I realised that my data roaming should be switched off asap. I have not used my data on purpose, and yet have been charged with an extra €60 euros on top of my monthly fees. What a shame!)

I'm a tourist and bought a sim card at Vodafone Amsterdam to use in the city and also in Paris. The salesman guaranteed to me it would also work in Paris. Now I am in Paris, with no internet, trying to navigate the city as if I were in the 90s, and there are no Vodafone stores or support here. I've never been this disappointed with a service in my life. I bought 6GB and used only 280MB and the internet is gone.

I switched to Ziggo and Vodafone after being contacted by Linqnet, a partner of Ziggo and Vodafone in the Netherlands. They called me to suggest switching from KPN, promising lower rates, better coverage, and an overall better experience. Over the phone, they prepared a contract for me to switch my internet to Ziggo, which I signed and returned. During the same call, they guided me to change my mobile plan to Vodafone on the Vodafone website, helping me choose a plan that was supposed to match my needs.
A month later, I discovered that the Ziggo switch had never been completed. I received no updates, no router, and no confirmation. When I called Ziggo, they told me my application was blocked due to an unpaid bill from someone else at my address (a multi-apartment building), despite the name being unrelated to me. They never informed me of this issue, leaving me in the dark.
Meanwhile, the Vodafone plan did go through—but that’s where the nightmare began. The first invoice I received was over €150, far higher than the €28 I was paying with KPN. I called Vodafone to ask why and was told I was being charged for calls to European countries. This was surprising because I specifically explained to Linqnet that I needed a plan with unlimited European calls, and they assured me this was included.
After numerous calls, Vodafone promised to upgrade my plan, but nothing happened. I called again, spent more time explaining, and eventually had to visit a physical store to resolve it. Only then was the plan updated, but this should have been fixed right from the beginning.
To make matters worse, I’ve been charged for calls to the US, which I didn’t make. I use a call-recording app I’ve always used without issue or extra charge from KPN. No one from Vodafone warned me that this app was incurring charges when I complained about the first invoice. I’ve now received invoices as high as €170, and every time I reach out to Vodafone, I’m passed around with no clear answers or accountability.
Their customer service is appalling. When I contacted them on Twitter (as I’m currently traveling in Mexico and I’m afraid that if I call them there will be even more charges!), I asked for the full name of the agent assisting me, after first trying to avoid giving out their name, later only shared their name is “Jos,” and, although I asked multiple times, they refused to provide their last name, saying it wasn’t necessary. It’s impossible to keep track of who I’m speaking to, and no one takes responsibility for solving the problems.
I feel completely misled by Linqnet as well as Vodafone, and trapped in a two-year contract with Vodafone that doesn’t meet my needs. If you’re considering switching to Vodafone or Ziggo, don’t. Their service is deceptive, and their support is utterly useless.
This entire experience has been incredibly stressful, disappointing, and excessively costly. I am deeply frustrated with the way I’ve been treated and feel trapped in a contract with a company that has consistently failed to meet my needs. I genuinely want to leave this horrible company, and I believe there must be a way to receive a refund and get out of this contract, especially given the ongoing issues, poor service, and the financial burden this has caused me.

Vodafone have been a nightmare to deal with. I wanted a new SIM only subscription with a number transfer. Sounds simple, right?
Apparently not. I have had to contact Vodafone 7 times over the past 2 weeks with the following timeline of events:
2nd January - order placed and immediately received a text that the number porting had been rejected, despite having the relevant confirmation from the old provider that the number was released. When contacting Vodafone, I was told that another request would be made and to wait for an update within 2 days
6th January - with no update, I reach out again and am told again that the porting was rejected, so I ask to try again. After trying again, I receive a text saying that the number porting was accepted and will happen on 7th January. I contact Vodafone again because I have not received a SIM card yet. I am told that the number porting will be put back to 10th January and a SIM card sent to my by post.
At this stage everything looks OK. I receive the SIM card and on the morning of the 10th I receive two text messages. The first confirming the number transfer will happen in 1 hour and a second maybe 1 hour later confirming that my number now sits on the Vodafone network. However, I place the SIM card I received into my phone and have no service, plus my old SIM card is still working
10th January - I reach out about the above and am told that these are just 'standard' text messages and it could take 24 hours. I should wait until the old SIM card stops working and then I can use my Vodafone SIM
13th January - Still no updates on the number porting so I contact again. I am told there is a 'delay' in the number porting and to wait another 48 hours
15th January - Still no updates on the number porting so I contact again. I am now told that the SIM card number does not match and a request has to be made to back office to fix the issue. This could take another 5 to 10 business days
Needless to say, I then decided to cancel my order with Vodafone. However, it does not stop there. I placed a new order with a different provider (Odido), and they are unable to port the number because there is an 'open' request. I am currently waiting to chat to Vodafone AGAIN to ask that they remove the number porting request and I can start a contract with someone else.
Once this is resolved I will also take my internet and TV subscription to the new provider (so that I can get a bundle discount) and not deal with Ziggo/Vodafone again. I suggest anyone else don't bother trying with them!

I had another provider and never had a higher bill than 20 euros and now they have billed me 60 euros!!!!!Please run away from this network as soon as possible. If I could end this service today I would. I have dug myself into quite a mess.

I've been calling them 3 times now only to ask if i can use my bundle in UK and if there's any additional settings (simplest question really). I told them i used vodafone's text service to see what is my tariff for UK and the message said i cannot use my phone, while their site says i can. Each employee we have talked to, struggles to talk and after few words they hanging up the call. One of them sounded like he swallowed something and choked (Hope he's ok though). We have tried communicating with Vodafone in Dutch and even English.... same results...

I have 2 subscription with Vodafone. My name is Ioan Ciupitu and because i'm a foreigner Vodafone employee decided to make a joke on me. I decided to order a simkaart, because i was unhappy about eSim. First simkaart failed to come, so i call today Vodafone to report the problem. In exactly 2 hours i got 2 simkaart, shocking. The one cancelled, because when i call to report my order with the simkaart didn't come... The employee lady kept me on the phone 20 minutes and guaranteed me my simkaart will come in 2 days time and she already transformed in the sistem for a normal simkaart, from eSim. It didn't happen, i tried the 2 simkaart and doesn't work. I need to learn for a test for tomorrow. So if i failed the test i will stop the subscription with this company. I'm not a bad joke of someone if i'm coming from another European country.
