Absolutely appalling experience with…

Absolutely appalling experience with the firm. Complete lack of transparency over billing; costs escalated to unacceptable levels. Utterly terrible. My advice is do not use the firm; if you do, make sure you ask for a billing estimate - and do it daily! They’re also hopeless at getting in touch. They send twenty emails when one call would do - this may be a way of wracking up costs.

Unethical & Fraudulent Practice

They would take up any case to earn money. My son did not meet entry requirements Mill Hill School for A Levels so we left. The solicitors insisted that the school still wants to keep my child and that the grade requirements are only on website, but not a party of contract. However several children are asked to leave on basis of not achieving their grades, but in my son’s case, school had particular interest in him and wanted to keep him regardless of the grades he achieved.

The court order strictly stated that total of £13973.85 had to be paid by 29/11/2024.

- £9300 was paid to Mill Hill school on 12/11/2024
- £4673.85 was paid to VWV Solicitors on 29/11/2024

Full monies were paid in time as per court order.

Both the school and VWV were informed of these payment. I still keep getting enforcement letters to pay an additional £5982.85 to VWV Solicitors. This will negatively impact my credit rating and is also causing continuous stress and anxiety to me.

Today I had an enforcement officer at my house taking pictures of my house and possessions without my consent. This is gross misconduct and infringement of my privacy.

Stay away from this company. Zero ethics or morals !

Excellent service and support…

Excellent service and support throughout legal child matter proceedings, knowledgeable and good links with other professionals that may help along the way. Be aware costs do run high, I think this is across the board and I am unsure how much more expensive VWV would be compared to other legal firms, however what I do know is it is you get excellent representation for your money!

I have used VWV for a few years

I have used VWV for dealing with the court of protection for my elderly aunt which entailed all the paperwork for Deputyship, Lpa’s and keeping a record for presentation to the court of protection annually. They also dealt with the conveyancing of her house. All of this helps immensely as they know what is required to comply with all the regulations. They are easy to talk to and are always friendly and helpful I can’t recommend them more highly

Spouse Visa residency application renewal

We have worked with VWV since 2017 having been recommended to them by a colleague also trying to settle his foreign wife legally in the UK. The Home Office initially REJECTED our application as I was unable to become resident with the family, as I had a house, cars and business to close, and needed income to do that. As a consequence the £400 Visa became a £20,000 battle to keep my Wife in the UK to look after her British Sons in the home owned by her British Husband of some 20 years. We benefited from a Supreme Court judgement AGAINST THE HOME OFFICE (one of many) to stop them breaking up my family. We will use them for the renewal despite the legal costs, as the process, fees and hurdles the Home Office creates are constantly changing and we cannot risk a problem.

Really not happy with this solicitor

Really not happy with this solicitor, they didn't run affordability checks and sign posting to UK legal aid and didn't meet face to face, never available to call only asking for text and email contact. For only a weeks work they charged me an large invoice.

Read your paperwork

Read your paperwork very carefully and explicitly ask for the costs of work before they do each and every action for you.
