Timely arrival of sunflowers in excellent condition

An order of sunflowers arrived in excellent condition to cheer an elderly friend who is not well. I selected next day delivery and received timely updates from Yodel. The flowers were delivered within the estimated time frame and despite having been on the road from mid morning to late afternoon on a hot day, were still fresh. Like others who have written reviews, I read the reviews here only after ordering and am happy that the experience has been a good one.

Had a bouquet of sunflowers divered from a friend. They are in a terrible condition. A couple have shrivelled up so will have to be binned and petals are dropping off left right and centre! Terrible quality.

Bouquet of flowers from Waitrose

Spent £40 on a bouquet for my wife. Received on time and decent quality but a tiny bunch of flowers. Had I bought the same in M&S it would probably have cost £15-£20.
Unlikely to use again as feel a bit ripped off!

First bunch delivered to wrong house &…

First bunch delivered to wrong house & left outside in heatwave. White roses v brown on receipt. I requested a fresh bunch.
2nd lot of flowers arrived, door bell wasn't rung, but flowers left in porch as requested. Rescued within 15 mins.
All flowers in full bloom, roses already starting to go off at the edges. I doubt they will last more than 24 hours.
Pretty disappointing after paying nearly £50. I so wish I'd read this review first. You can't rely on the Waitrose reputation anymore.

Really terrible bunch of flowers.

I received a £25 bunch of flowers as a thank you. They are the worst quality flowers I have ever received. I have contacted Waitrose to let them know, so that they have a chance to put things right. The flowers were so wilted when I received them that I was unsure they would be able to be revived. They picked up a little but in no way resemble the picture of them on the waitrose website. Most unacceptable.

Waitrose let the side down on this one.

Flowers arrived on the preferred date but were disappointing. This was supposed to complement other presents from me to my wife on our 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary and I am afraid Waitrose let the side down badly. The flowers arrived in a shabby condition and despite my best efforts to revive them, they went downhill from then on. To rub salt into the wound the white roses turned pink overnight and rather spoiled the sentiment of "red roses for love and white roses for friendship" (the two essential elements for a long and happy marriage). I would not recommend this service and can only say the flowers my son ordered from M&S were a vast improvement on those I ordered from Waitrose!

Poor

Poor, poor, poor bouquet. Flowers wilting and discoloured. I expect more from waitrose considering the cost. Oh well, time to look for another florist that will supply a decent product.

Absolutely Awful

Absolutely Awful - I really wish I had found this review site before ordering flowers from Waitrose. The flowers look great in the online photo BUT they were delivered wilted and discoloured. When contacting Waitrose to express my unhappiness, the customer service replied to me inferring that they were like that due to the instructions not having been followed by the receiving customer! They were! I had to send photographs to prove the rose blooms were discoloured on delivery. Photos were also presented showing that the stocks are badly wilted. They have been entirely disappointing and I am devastated and embarrassed to have sent this sorry bunch of flowers as a “Wonderful news and Congratulations” message to my son and his partner.

Flowers OK but delivery awful

Flowers not bad after revival.
Yodel delivery experience terrible.
"Left in safe area" - NOT TRUE.
" Left in outbuilding" - NOT TRUE.
Customer in but no attempt to deliver to front door or even place in cool porch area. Found by chance just put inside low gate in full sun and in view of footpath.

Poor service

I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased. Sent my niece sunflowers for her birthday. I later discovered they use Yodel for delivery. True to form flowers arrived at depot 7.15 am. Went out for delivery at noon and were then driven around the local area on a hot day and finally deposited on her doorstep (without knocking) at 6.30. later discovered purely by chance. They arrived extremely floppy and despite attempts to revive them the next day look a very sad gift. What condition they started out in I will never know but I won't be using Waitrose again.

Disappointing Peonies

The window for buying peonies is short compared to other variety of flowers
They have appeared in Waitrose stores and little Waitrose petrol stations in the last few weeks
Bunches start at £10 this season for 5 heads , a bigger bunch at £20 and even larger bunches.
Having used the food provided to enhance life and cut the stems at a angle I have been disappointed with them
M first bunch heads never opened at all
Just went brown
Second bunch woke to find all five heads either hanging from their stem or completely detached from the stem and splogged on the table
On Thursday I brought a third bunch , this time white peonies and they had slightly more open heads , so feeling more optimistic . This morning with the exception of one bloom the other four have shed their heads all over the table .that’s not even five days life
Not the cheapest of blooms and this season so far extremely disappointing

Want flowers? Don't use Waitrose!

Waitrose are letting John Lewis Partnership down. I ordered flowers from them for my wife on our anniversary last year with a bottle of champagne, flowers with cava turned up. This year for my wife's birthday I ordered flowers again, thinking they must've got their act together. Wrong! Flowers did not arrive in the time slot 7am-9pm. When I called customer services they said flowers were with the courier, Yodel, and would be delivered the next day. It's now 1.30pm and still no flowers. I WILL NEVER USE WAITROSE and NEVER USE ANY COMPANY THAT CONTRACT YODEL FOR DELIVERIES. They are simply not up to the task of next day delivery.

Beautiful flowers and chocolates

I saw many bad reviews only after I ordered so I was scared but actually the flowers arrived totally fine. I ordered "Pretty Patchwork Bouquet" and they were so beautiful, made my friend very happy. The chocolate I added looks great too.

Mothering Sunday Flowers.......

We ordered a bouquet for Mother's Day which was delivered to our 98 year old Mum the day prior to Mothering Sunday as we requested (£40 for flowers & £5 delivery). When we visited her on the Sunday, we were appalled to find the what had been delivered the day before. To say it was disappointing is an understatement. We took photos & contacted Waitrose by telephone to make a complaint, without me asking....the Waitrose operative automatically issued a Refund. I explained that I was not seeking a Refund, but wanted replacement flowers to be sent out - he said that was not possible & I would have to re-order another bouquet online. I said I was not happy with that & to transfer me to someone who could arrange a replacement. He put me through to Customer Service & I explained the situation again. I was asked to send copies of the photos, which I did & in short it was agreed that they were not of an acceptable standard. They arranged to send a replacement set - when they arrived, they were a bunch of 10 roses which were all open. They lasted 2 days before withering in the vase. We will never order flowers through Waitrose again, as this is not the first time this has happened.
