I have been an employee of Workr Umbrella (formerly Walker Smith) for the past several years, in my work as a locum allied health professional.

I have had 5 Umbrella companies in the past, but Workr group are without doubt by far the best. If I have any queries or requests by text or email, they are usually met within an hour. If I need to speak to someone on the phone, I can do so immediately, and they are always very helpful.

The customer service is extraordinarily good, and I have always had good communications with them. I once asked for information on public liability insurance, and received the necessary document by email in less than 90 seconds - seriously.

I will remain as an employee with Workr group for the foreseeable future, and would highly recommend them to other AHPs.

Having been Agency working for 4 years now and with a number of different umbrella companies, I can say Worker has been the most helpful and supportive. I joined Worker just before the pandemic happened and my contract was cut short after only a few weeks.
That uncertain time, and anxiety of not knowing what you needed to do to claim benefits or request furlough was awful.
Worker we’re upfront and honest in providing communication that they needed to wait for government guidelines and options. Although it was an uncertain time for each individual they ensured I was heard and supported.
I can’t thank them enough.
I have referred people to Worker and will continue to in the future.

Work umbrella have been brilliant the whole team have been so helpful I have been with a few umbrella company’s over the years as I have been in housing as a contractor for 20 management I was very apprehensive of going with these guys as I knew there had been so many changes to contract working and I really had lost my faith from previous company’s
I had no need to be worried right from the start everything was explained to me no question was too difficult very helpful they have been a god send through furlough putting my mind at rest I had a lot of worries I want to thank all the team and especially Gareth Murphy I have emailed Gareth all times of day and nite through being anxious and he had been the perfect professional always reassuring me
For example the team working from home back in March always polite and courteous I will be remaining with the company if I continue to contract I wouldn’t go anywhere else and like I say I’ve worked with a fair feW company’s in 8 months I have never had a problem I’m very happy thank you
