There is hardly any fruit in Warburton's Fruity Teacakes despite the claim on the packet of 'plump and juicy currants, sultanas and raisins'. Other brands including shop own brands are better.

My favourite bread is whole meal with no added sugar. However I have just opened a new one that tastes very sweet? I keep mine in the fridge and it lasts weeks with no mould

Been eating Warburtons bread for 30 years but the last few Toastie loaves taste awful almost plastic in taste so now buying Hovis think J Warburton has been too busy making stupid adverts with Kermit the Frog while his bread now tastes worse than Aldis own brand and I see many feel the same shame that
Warburtons toastie is now a joke
Warburtons toastie is now a joke, the slices are so thin while the price is high, i would question why this loaf is still branding itself as "toastie".
Much better options out there at well below Warburton price.

I used to like Warburtons products. However, I've been increasingly dissatisfied as the quality has been hit and miss. Mainly going mouldy far too quickly.
Recently I heard something that may explain. Someone gained a position in a Warburtons bakery through an agency they use. He was told, on induction, several examples of entire batches just being thrown out because a sick staff member had worked instead of staying off. Therefore strict rule was staff mustn't turn up if they had any sickness /diarrhea as it could contaminate a whole batch...had to be a 48 hours before a return to a shift.
So on a few occasions over 3/4 months this person reported in as having a cold or feeling slightly nauseous and was told to skip the next 2 shifts. He didn't get paid so no motivation whatsoever for "pulling a sickie"! In fact he wanted to work and felt well enough to work but was told by supervisors "no, we can't afford infection". So it came as a shock when the agency phoned and said he was no longer required.. reason given.. inconsistent attendance. There was zero right of reply because he was agency staff. So now I have images of really sick and infectious people working in Warburtons bakery, afraid to mention anything in case they get laid off.
As that could indeed be one reason the products go mouldy more quickly.. I dont touch Warbutons now .. urgh...

The bread slices are much smaller than they used to be.i can understand with sourdough bread but tiger bread? Shrinkflation at its best
Poison dressed as bread
The ingredients lists read like a horror film. Awful product, a bunch of chemicals formed to look slightly like a loaf of real bread.
I will be actively encouraging anyone I see carrying warburtons in a shop or supermarket to move onto real bread, for the sake of their health and to stop them wasting money on fake, overpriced, unhealthy slop dressed up as something it just isn't.

Tostie loaf I’m surprised it does not ignite in the toaster the amount of chemicals Warburtons add into their “products”. I use the term product, as it’s clearly not traditional bread making, highly processed junk.

So concerned with trying to make extra margin reduce packet size for greater price , find cheaper ingredients to stuff products with including emulsifiers, palm oil, sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, gelling agents
Etc - that they don’t hold any of the original brand values. A load of crap.
The Tiger Bloomer...Poor quality
The Tiger Bloomer...Poor quality white bread, small on size, virtually no substance, but loads of additives.

The crumpets were horribly dry after being toasted until very lightly crisp and warmed through rather than overdone. Very disappointed as was looking forward to a lovely moist crumpet, butter and jam.
Health Hazard
Just to make the company aware that piece of metal was found in a slice of toast, and it could have resulted in some severe health implications.it was small round and as sharp as a fish hook. Tried to notify the company however their on line form doesnt work.Qite concerning.

I have always loved your tea cakes but recently have not been enjoying them. Smaller, different taste less fruit. Checked online to find everything had changed. I'm afraid I will no longer be buying them. So disappointed.

Green before sell by date
Have been buying half and half for years but the last three loaves have gone green and mouldy before the sell by date. I thought I got unlucky with one, maybe two but three loaves and I know something is wrong. I store always in the same place, a cool cupboard. Have to choose another brand now as fed up chucking and buying new bread.

I love their fruity tea cakes. Such a lovely change.
I think some people expect them to taste like hot cross buns which they are not!
