Amazing Experience

The castle was an amazing experience, so interactive for the children. It is really well laid out and so much to see and do we struggled it do it in one day.
All the staff were really friendly, helpful and engaged brilliantly with all of the family. A real credit to the company and obviously enjoy their jobs.

A Rip Off!

We arrived at the Castle car park shortly after 2.30pm. By the time we had parked, walked along a lengthy path, paid for our expensive £6 car parking ticket at a payment booth and then finally reached the ticket office, where we queued for tickets, it was gone 3pm. Unfortunately, we were told that the Castle closed at 4pm and the cost of the tickets would be £48 (£24 each). We weren’t prepared to pay such an extortionate amount for under one hour’s time in the Castle. We were told we could not get a refund of our car park fee of £6. We are not happy at all! A warning to others - don’t pay for parking until you leave. The cost of a day ticket would have been £26 each, an extortionate £52 for both of us, plus £6 to park. We are retired and on fixed incomes, and the cost of tickets and car parking is, in our view, excessive. We are very upset that we could not get our car park fee refunded and we will not be visiting Warwick Castle ever again.

Not “ a great day out for all” but a bad day out for evryonr

Your claim to be ‘great day out for all the family” is a complete joke and totally untrue. My 3 adult children, husband and 4 year old granddaughter all paid full price for a day’s admission ticket . I have walking difficulties and normally I am able to get a carer’s ticket for at a discount or for free as I walk with a stick and need support especially with stairs and steps. Having booked in advance as advised on your website, I read the accessibility guide which stated I would have to prove I claimed disability benefit ( which I don’t) and go through a very laborious process to obtain any discount whatsoever. I now find out I could have got some discount by buying a ticket on the day just by presenting a blue badge but could not do this online. Very many people do jot claim DDA but do have a blue badge so your online booking form must explain this. Your policy is discriminatory and shows your attitude of not trusting your disabled customers as they have to be seen in person to prove they have a mobility issue. There was supposed to be a lift allowing access to the Great Hall but it was out of order (and there was no prior warning of this at the entrance and I did expect to have at least have access to that room without having to negotiate steps . I realise other areas would be inaccessible but I was aware of this heforehand. After enduring a tour of the inside of the castle and a trip up a tower and on the ramparts my Grandaughtrr who had paid the full price and. 2 year old grandson were looking forward to playing on the Zog playground and were very disappointed for it to be closed due to ice. When I can understand you had no control over this it ought to have been advised on the website at least told to usas we were entering the castle. Three of our party traveled from London and one is a teacher and all of us wished we had gone to Windsor. Castle or even better the English Heritage venue of Kenilworth Castle both of which have better access arrangements and attractions for children. I think Warwick Castle has become a theme park and it has not been an improvement. Before this happened I have visited the castle a few times before but several years ago but at a total cost of £168 for my family on this occasion, I will certainly advise my many friends with grandchildren not to visit you and my daughter who works as a primary school teacher in the Midlands will certainly inform her colleagues of her poor experience . I run a support group for disabled people and will do the same. You must be.aware that ‘castles’ are a theme on the primary curriculum and you need to do so much better if you wish to attract school visits, visits by families with children or disabled visitors. Your communication methods with customers are appalling and unworthy of an industry such as yours. How disappointing and what a waste of money and my family”s time,

Disgustingly over priced

Disgustingly over priced! You will have to remortgage your house for a day trip here! £37 per person entry fee, £10 parking fee and then once your inside you have to pay extra for everything else - for £37 entrance fee and £10 parking everything else inside the castle should be included but nope! You have to pay extra for the 5 minute archery attraction where you get to shoot one arrow, you have to pay extra to go in the dungeon then it’s £20 for 3 photos they take of you before entering the dungeon, you have to pay extra to go in the witches tower, a slice of pizza is £8.. the list goes on. surprised they don’t charge you to use the toilets!! Which by the way are DISGUSTING! it’s honestly just the biggest rip off ever. I understand they need money to maintain the castle but that’s just taking advantage of people with their obscene prices.

Castle After Dark Halloween Event

Disappointing from start to finish, expensive and queues were so big we didn’t even bother to do the last experience as the first 2 we’re so boring and we had queued for so long.

There are basically 3 experiences The Hunted which we queued for and took 40 mins, didn’t jump or scream once utterly boring, the Haunted Hallows which was equally as disappointing, and The Crest for which the queue was so long we didn’t even bother. I had also paid extra to do the Dungeons and these were the only good part of the evening. I would avoid this event at all cost as totally boring and you spend 80% of your night queuing for experiences that are completely rubbish. The only scary part to this event for me was the price I paid and the money I lost.

Would be zero stars but it wont let me

Would be zero stars but it wont let me! We stayed the night in one of their freezing cold tents, they put us next to a foot path so had loads of noise! The food was pretty poor, there are no places for smokers and the staff are quite rude! I feel ripped off and wont go there again!

Dragon Slayer event good but…

Dragon Slayer event should have been fantastic and 2nd half definitely was. BUT seating is flat and stage not high enough, only on 22nd row but couldn’t see anything on the stage. Spent first half looking at back of man’s head and a mob that a women held in air filming whole thing. For 2nd half sat on a bench at the side and could see everything. Should just have bought cheapest tickets rather than £32 tickets.

Dirty & Bad customer service

We rented a room at Knight’s village. It was dusty and had many spiderwebs all over the place.
The problem was that I found about 5 spiders when we arrived, two of them quite big. I went to the reception I asked for a hoover or spray (any kind of help) they didn’t have anything to help me. They said someone will come and have a look but no one came. I was with my little girl so I decided to leave but my money was not refunded, not even an apology for the inconvenience…

No CASH

Nice place , friendly staff , good shows but expensive for gifts and when you have young children they always want something , and you cannot use cash. So grandparents give kids money for treats but they cannot use the cash and not all families have money in their banks to pay on their cards . Some families save a long time for treats for their kids but the castle want more and take as much as they can , shame ☹️

Went to a music event here

Went to a music event here, Michael Bublé and it was horrendous. Terrible organisation, sound quality a joke, lack of food and drink stations so people were having to queue into the crowd. When a written complaint was made the response was basically it was the fault of those who attended who were standing in the 'wrong place' apparently......sorry didn't realise standing in with the other thousands of people surrounding me on the area obviously meant for the concert was the 'wrong place' I'll go take a seat in the castle next time!!! Dont attend music event at this venue

Attended Michael Buble concert on 13th July. Paid £200 each for Gold tickets but was very disappointed in how the event was organised and will certainly never attend Warwick castle for a music event again.

Firstly, there was no pre-event information sent out which clearly detailed what you could take in, best place to park etc.

Tickets stated that gates would open at 1700hrs. We were there on time and queued for 1hr before security started letting people in. Security then took 500ml bottles of pop, sweets and crisps off of people who were entering the venue so that food and drink had to be purchased inside. I purchased 1 x can of sprite and 1 x small can of Heineken, which cost 7.50. I then purchased 2 x hotdogs, which cost 15.00.

We could have been in any field in any part of the country. There were certainly no views of the castle.

There was no soap or sanitiser provided in the wash area near the portaloos.

There was nothing special about the gold ticket area and people were corralled in like livestock. Too many people were crammed in this small area.

There was no support act and Buble did not appear on stage until 20.30hrs. He left the stage at 21.30 then returned to finish off with 3 more songs. Very poor.

Upon leaving the venue there was complete disarray. A number of exits were closed so again everyone was herded like cattle.

Overall a very poor show and I certainly would bot reccomend attending a music event at this venue.

A very expensive and poorly organised…

A very expensive an poorly organised evening! Not recommend for a music venue!

Queues in were not clear and disorganised, as they filtered from 1 to 4 to 1 again!
They had people in the wrong queues and did eventually work it out and walked up and down to advise people.
1.5hrs queueing!

Queues going out were even worse!
They closed every entrance off and filtered everyone like cattle to one exit - felt completely unsafe.

I saw they were taking anything that was food and drink, even packs of small crisps!

Clearly wanted you to buy there food:
Drinks were >£5 - generally £7.50.
Food was >£7.50, a tub with handful of chips £4!

The concert started at 5pm…..Bublé came on at 8:15! He left at 9:40!

So for £200 a ticket it clearly wasn’t value for money and I would not recommend Warwick to visit for a music venue.

Appalling dumbed down ripoff establishment

This is a dreadful place. Do not be tempted to go. It's exceptionally overpriced and tacky. Plus, the staff don't seem to have a clue. I was unable to get a refund on two tickets for the dungeon - they wouldn't let two teenage daughters in insisting that they had to be over 18. But the only rule on the ticket was that they had to be over 10! When we asked for a refund, the attendant simply refused.
