I redently purchased a Sportage GTLine which was nearly two years old. The whole experience was generally fantastic, only let down by slow response to post purchase query on battery caution indicator... See more

First time I brought my car in to have a window screen wiper motor replaced, they booked it in and when I arrived the part wasn’t in and nobody bothered to let me know !
Second time, they booked it in for a 14.00pm slot and the car sat in the car park for 1 1/2 hours before even going in… they then said it will be done within 30 minutes.. what a joke, still sitting waiting another 40 minutes for it to be finished. Customer service guy just shrugged his shoulders and said “ what do you want me to do “? Absolutely disgusting customer service. Never ever again will I buy a Nissan through this dealer. !
3rd car from wessex newport
What a lovely salesman graham Pearce is
Looked after me so well.
Helped me choose the right car
To suit my needs .
Nothing was to much trouble .
The manager was really fair with me over choices I made. I would trust graham and his manager as they stick to there word
Made me a promise and carried it through
Thank you will be back in the future
I found my perfect car on KIA used website and it was held here at Wessex Garages. We were driving all the way from Shrewsbury to Cardiff on a Saturday so all the documentation had to be lined up in advance and on short notice, but Andrew, the agent, had it all under control.
Went to Nissan Gloucester to test drive a Nissan Ariya, I was Very impressed with how tidy and clean the showroom looked, Was greeted by the first person that see me walk into the showroom, very pleasant and polite. Our appointment was for 10.00 o,clock, and right on time Scott was the young gentleman that we come to see. Very polite and most helpful nothing was to much trouble, he answered any questions I had. My wife and I were both very happy with the way we were treated. We did not feel like we were being rushed or pushed along.Very happy with the experience. So thank you all very much. Purchased new vehicle collected it 31st January very very happy Customer.
I bought a Nissan and from the day before I was due to pick it up I received disorganised service, extremely poor communication, work not completed on the car before collecting it, being delayed picking the car up, car being left unlocked on forecourt.
I have had nothing but hassle having to organise work that should have been done before I even drove the car off the garage forecourt.
Staff not returning my e mails and still haven’t replied sales staff and management. They are clearly just ignoring my complaints now!
Staff lying to me to cover up not being experienced and not telling me important information as they were rushing off!
I have never received such poor customer service as I have from this garage.
I am appalled that this kind of service is allowed to happen.
Experience was was very pleasant. Harry was a lovely lad, not pushy, provided all the necessary Information on the cars that had my specific requirements and within my budget. Very accommodating and professional. I'm very happy with my purchase and the whole experience of buying a new car.
A really good customer experience, nothing is too much trouble.
Bought a one year old Kia Sportage from Newport between Christmas and New Year. The Car is good but if you do buy from them make sure you check everything is ok first. I made the move from Audi to Kia based on recommendations from colleagues. Wish I hadn't. They may have a lovely shiny showroom but still the same old backstreet rip off car dealer mentality... Firstly check that the finance options offered are right for you as they only offer Kia Finance as there is a massive bonus in it for the dealership. I didn't do my usual checks as I trusted them to be a reputable "Main Dealer" The tyres will all need to be changed very soon. Bearing in mind I just bought a 32k vehicle and will have to spend another £600. Fuel tank was almost empty. Spoke to the sales manager who just quoted me their minimum standards for used cars and called me Sir. Complained to the dealership via email and got no reply. I escalated it to Head Office with the threat of the Financial Ombudsman. I got a call almost immediately and spoke to their Finance Manager. I was offered 1 tyre as a gesture of goodwill, I asked for the front two but it was a "jog on Sir" I'm escalating the confusing and prejudiced leaning to the financial side of this this to the Ombudsman as I believe that this company needs a shake up. I was unable to see all the details of my agreement until it arrived in the post. I really can't see any reason to buy from Wessex. Just do the basic checks and make sure the servicing is up to date first and save yourself thousands....
Wouldn’t recommend buying from this garage. Brought a non Mazda car towards the end of last year and the engine management light came on a week later. The garage got us to get the car diagnosed somewhere else as they were unable to do it, didn’t reimburse us for getting charge to take it elsewhere. Eventually got it sorted after a lot of hassle showing them the diagnostics sheet from the other garage. Got made to feel an inconvenience from the garage and the sells guy. The same light came back on this week and again seem very unwilling to help sort the issue despite the car still being under warranty.
The lack of pressure from the sales team was refreshing and the salesman who dealt with my purchase was exceptional.
Andy Michael, the salesman in question was courteous and informative throughout the entire process, making me feel at ease and like I could walk away at any point. There was never any pressure to buy or purchase any added extras. Once the sale was going through Andy was in frequent communication, making sure everything went as smoothly as possible. Overall a fantastic experience and great customer care.
Excellent customer service. Josh helped us today, smooth, friendly service. I have used Wessex garages Penarth rd for a number of years, it is without doubt the best I've used in terms of customer service, highly recommend.
My car was booked in for service over a week ago, this is a mobility car, car was dropped off at garage they had it for hours, my husband went to pick it up, waiting around for ages no body seemed to know what was happening, then told car was not done, you would of thought this car would of been a priority, what sort of customer service do they think that is
Very happy walked in knowing the car I wanted to buy. No pressure to buy anything else. Sales person was very open and transparent. Handover was good and the car is exactly as described.
Good experience. Special mention to Sami who made the process easy for me. Communication was exceptional.
Excellent service from the Nissan team at Newport, with particular thanks to Curtis. Having been with a different dealer, where the service was slow unhelpful, Wessex Newport staff were reliable and professional. We are delighted with the new car.
Amazing car purchase experience with Kia branch, particularly customer service from Andrew. Listened to our family requirements, knowledgable about cars. Highly recommended!
Unbelievably slow and expensive, it took well over two hours to carry out a check that should take 10 seconds.
My car initially failed its MOT for (1) low washer fluid (they wanted quote for a new washer pump … um no it was clearly just low on fluid), and (2) a tyre pressure sensor.
That initial MOT took them nearly five hours; and that was the speedy while-you-wait option. So I booked the retest and took the car to a place that did the tyre sensor in ten minutes and for nearly £half what Wessex (Cribbs) quoted. Then I took it back to Wessex for the free MOT retest - they literally just had to check the tyre sensor system wasn't showing its light, and try the windscreen washer - ten seconds of work, and that includes the time it’d take to sit in the car. To wait for over two hours for that is a bit much; I don’t need you to wash my car just do the tiny thing that needs doing.
Been loyal to Wessex since buying the car, but will go elsewhere from now on.
Wessex will do anything to get your business then ignore you until its time to get a new car, their communication and professionalism is poor and will most likely leave you out of pocket. In my case they set up a service plan which did not achieve what they promised and did not provide me with any documentation. Sales manager completely ignored me and despite the Branch manager being unable to provide anything signed by me he dismissed my complaint without hesitation. Throughout the process no-one seems to care that the sales team is misrepresenting the truth to sell cars. Would highly recommend people go elsewhere.
Trying to buy parts of these people is impossible always goes to answer phone and never ring you back they should never be allowed to sell the cars if they won't sell the parts to fix them
