Totally useless in trying to communicate.

Had an engineer out to replace the drum in the washing machine.
After the first wash cycle later that day, the washing machine started to leak all over the floor.
Getting hold of somebody responsible is impossible. The whole repair process is mixed up between Donestic & General, Hotpoint and Whirlpool and it seems nobody is able to help or knows what anybody else is doing.
I managed to get an appointment for 29/04/24, which was 7 days after the initial repair. On 27/04/24 I get a message from Whirlpool to tell me my appointment has changed. I call the phone number and select option 3 to speak to an agent. Turns out option 3 is just the quick way to terminate the call. Four time I tried. Four times I tried option 3 and four times I was cut off. Totally inept system. Our cover plan is with Donestic & General. The repair guy came from Hotpoint. The texts came from Whirlpool and when you phone the number in the text, option 1 tells you to go online to Hotpoint repairs.
Meanwhile my washing machine is still pouring water onto the floor.
If I could give a minus star I would but have been forced to leave 1 star

I had an engineer booked for an all day…

I had an engineer booked for an all day appointment they would call me before they came. It got to 16:00 and still nothing so I contacted them only to be told that the date had changed from today 25/04 to the 30/04. There are two disabled people in the house one who has a colostomy bag which leaks quite often. So almost a month without a washing machine. Why was I not notified of the change

Awful service at Hotpoint/Whirlpool

Trying to speak to anyone at Whirlpool/Hotpoint is impossible. The automated system cuts out and only has a couple of choices. You can be hanging on forever. When you do get through to anyone it is the wrong department and nobody wears noise clearing headsets. The noise is awful. There is also no accountability for mistakes they have made. Trying to contact them via their online chat is no better and I actually got cut off without the representative having responded to my query. I was not in any way being rude but just asking a simple question as to why a part that had been ordered by an engineer back in January was only ordered for my 88 year old mother in law yesterday after I chased it meaning that she has been left without a working oven for 4 months. She has been trying to call them for months but cannot understand the automated system. I don't blame her. It was difficult for me to get through to anyone. Apparently the part has been ordered but they are expecting her at 88 to fit it or they will charge her. How is that acceptable. It is poor poor service even though I have seen so much poor customer service from organisations since covid. There is no accountability. All this has taken me all afternoon yesterday and all morning today. Ridiculous.

Hotpoint compact tumble dryer

Need a hot point compact tumble dryer (as I have limited space) to replace one I’ve had for over 16 yrs . Purchased my replacement at start of Jan , received it in March - it was damaged - had to wait till start of April to get a replacement- also damaged- just received a 3rd machine , also damaged - told replacement might take another 35 days to receive - terrible product and have a terrible time trying to get through to and speak to people at hotpoint to resolve this.

So so poor. Soooo poor !

After so many repairs in under two years of buying this machine, brand-new, using the machine on / off sometimes frequently( twice a week!) but lightly, And having had now so much time because of the constant faults where I haven’t been able to use the machine at all has had ongoing detrimental effects to this household.
This is probably the seventh or eighth ‘repair’ Required.
This time almost like a comedy sketch (but a seriously unfunny one) I’ve waited AGAIN since last week for the engineer to visit (after having already completed the questionnaire and informed them of the error codes etc, The engineer calls me in the morning asking for the error codes, Explaining that he could check if he has the parts and if not he can order them.
He did this over the phone and then called back to say he doesn’t have the parts and he will order them therefore he will rebook the appointment for another time when he has the parts!!
I asked him “ What then, was the point of booking today’s appointment (as he was obviously reluctant to attend”) And if he knew he didn’t have the parts, what is the point of him attending today and me taking time off work waiting for this appointment? He reluctantly replied somebody should have told me what parts were required and made sure we had them for the appointment. So I’ll attend anyway and “see if the machines working” despairingly I replied but we know the machine is not working. That’s why I’ve booked the repair appointment and he said (whilst knowing he does not have the parts, knowing the machine doesn’t work, knowing he cannot repair it)” I’ll just attend then” which he did and in 4 minutes, left and said he’d need to rebook for when he has the parts!
I’m lost for words how bad this experiences with this machine and the constant repairs, I seem to see engineers for this faulty machine more often than I see most of my family.
I was told five months ago that the machine should be replaced but it wasn’t and now I’m being told it may possibly be replaced or may not, either way I have to wait for decision or wait for some parts and then wait for another appointment has the obvious outcome anyway Because this is the seventh or eighth time the same thing has happened.
Utterly shocked at the poor quality not just of the machine but the subsequent process and service .
Really sadly so disappointing.

Domestic & Con.

3rd engineer turned up for the same job. Did not know what he was supposed to fit. Details provided on the job request weren’t transferred across to him. Booked through domestic and con who are fast enough to take your money and promise you engineers. CEO and directors of domestic and fun need to call their numbers and see what stupid loops are through. Always when I call high call numberswhich means not enough staff. Would not recommend domestic and con.

Engineer lied about coming to my house

Engineer lied about coming to my house. Doorbell camera showed no-one come and also house camera showed no visitors. Tried to re-book engineer but conformation said they would come to look at my fridge when it's the oven needing repair.

This service has been absolutely awful.

This service has been absolutely awful. Not only did the last agent hang up the phone on me within two minutes after being on hold for 13 minutes, I’ve also had my repairs cancelled twice within the last week including today 1 hour before the expected time slot with no explaintion. I’ve had the inconvenience of not being able to use my appliances for me, my new born, my 7 year old and my partner for almost two weeks now and my laundry is piling up due to this inconvenience. I’ve have to spend an abundance of time and money to try and work around this issue buying my newborn new clothes and travelling to family members houses to use their appliances to get my son’s school clothes sorted. Not impressed with this service at all.

Very poor service, would not recommend!

After initial call out the engineer didn’t have the part to replace so had to rebook and wait for over a week for him to come back. Requested a morning engineer slot but was given afternoon time. The notification text didn’t arrive until 6.01pm the evening before and when I tried to get through to someone to change the time, the lines were closed after 5.30pm! Chat was unable to help and I had to call at 8.30am in the morning. When I called and finally got through to customer services, the lady said she didn’t have a telephone number for the engineer, put me on hold and cut me off! My second call was over 30 mins long and they said they had to ask the engineer to contact me or rebook for him to come back a week and half later. This has now taken over 3.5 weeks to get a simple thermostat part replaced on a dishwasher which is only 3 years old! Very disappointed with the whole service of whirlpool! Not worth the money, time wasted or hassle.

I am disappointed in Whirlpool for not…

I am disappointed in Whirlpool for not taking the time or understanding that having a delivery of a washing machine that does NOT fit the space. I am disabled and recovering from Cancer and was not well enough to remember that once fitted and having a test rinse I cannot return the machine for one that fits. Now I'm living with a machine jutting out 3inches in my small kitchen!
I am left distressed and feel taken advantage of my vulnerability. Yes also I feel the fitter took advantage of my age and vulnerability.

Avoid buying Indesit

I bought a built in Indesit microwave oven 2 years ago & it no longer works. I contacted Indesit who were no help at all. It seems I'm expected to pay at least £60 to either be told it can't be repaired or more if it can be repaired. I expect more than 2 years from a microwave.

I purchased freezer parts paying…

I purchased freezer parts paying bycard, but had to return an item. I was sent a returns label which I used. 15 days after returning the item, still no refund. I try contacting by Chat but couldn't get the right dept and was told I had to call. I called the number I was given at 5:15pm and got a message that the dept was closed even though the message said opening hours are 8am to 6pm.
I call the next day and was told I have to wait until Evri confirms where the parts are before I'll get my refund, even though I have proof of return. This is all so 1990s.
