The hob we had delivered had a fault
The hob we had delivered had a fault. After contacting Hotpoint to inform them they insisted on sending an engineer. One came out to assess the Hob and then another, still not repaired. It is now March and we have been without a Hob since the second visit. Unable to communicate my disgust with the service.
Engineer cancelled visit on due day
Engineer cancelled visit on due day
Tumble Drier broke down - Originally the first available engineer visit was just over a week away - booked it. On the day of visit (today) I received an email saying nobody was coming (from Whirlpool) and I would have to re-arrange another visit. Why didnt they organise that for me at the time of the cancellation? I have now had another message from Whirlpool saying another visit is booked - IN ANOTHER WEEK'S TIME! Text contained a 'link' in it to review my repair date and there was no link, just code so couldn't follow that. Dreadful non-service especially when the weather is bad and can't dry clothes/sheets outside. Just had a live chat with somebody at Whirlpool and that crashed before we could finish. Like most companies, they need the personal touch and not to just send out automated texts with no regard to customer's circumstances.
Absolutely terrible and non existent…
Absolutely terrible and non existent customer service. No one to answer a call. Wait for well over a week for a repair to be carried out then the following week it’s broken again.
Now another week for another engineer, he turned up said he has no parts onboard. Now need to wait for another engineer to be booked in.
Trying book a repair is a nightmare
Trying book a repair is a nightmare
Telephone line disconnects says call back later and chat bot/online advisor doesn't reply or delays of 5 minutes between each response
Inefficient service, not the Engineers fault!
When I gave the fault information, that the dishwasher wasn't heating up, I expected the engineer to be given a replacement heater element for their visit. We have waited a week for the first visit and now it will be another 10 days waiting for the replacement part, which was already in stock (I heard that part of the conversation with the office), this is an inefficient way of operating and surely reflects in the cost of premiums to the customer. I will invest in some Marigolds!
So not buy this brand!!
I purchased a tumble dryer Aug 2023, it has had 3 call outs to repair it following breakdowns. The sum of the parts replaced must exceed the cost of the machine - I have no faith in your company, brand or products. I'd like a replacement or a full refund!
Appalling service
Appalling service. Appointment cancelled during the time window of promised engineer arrival.
A further full week until the next available date.
What is the point of having an extended warranty when Hotpoint service is demonstrably unreliable?
No flexibility around delivery slots…
No flexibility around delivery slots unless you pay £25 for a 3 hour window regardless of circumstances. I’ve waited 4 months for a replacement due to incompetence of whirlpool engineers and now the can only give me a 7am-7pm time slot which is inconvenient.
Poor support under warranty
My husband was there this Friday and last week, first visit the parts weren’t available (despite known fault), this Friday it was cancelled. It’s very difficult to speak to someone about when there are slots available, the phone line has hung up on me twice. As a teacher whose husband travels a lot I’m finding the lack of support, under warranty, very difficult.
Dreadful service.
Engineer turned up with wrong part. No oven all week and now potentially have 8 weeks to wait as advised to make formal complaint but up to 8 weeks to even get acknowledgement. Definitely thinking of cancelling all plans with them- absolutely appalling service.
Not impressed with the service …
An engineer was supposed to arrive between 10-1pm no show then checked tracking said we was next that was 2.30pm still no show then get a text message to say engineer tomorrow. I called several times to speak to a human kept cutting me off I have waisted time and money from work not impressed!!!
Whirlpool & General & Domestic ONLINE
Had 3 engineers to come and fix our washing machine. 1st need New Motherboard. 2nd engineer 3 days later. Know you don’t it’s this. Leaves and goes wrong. Wait a week for engineer 3 still can’t fix it have to wait another week for it to be repaired as no parts. Says it will take all day. Can’t make the day given can you come earlier. NO. Gotta wait till 25th can’t even phone as there helpline can’t talk to anyone tried numerous occasions today. Poor Customer Service
Poor washing machine customer service
Washing machine Service engineer left me with a brown puddle in kitchen. Had to call a private plumber to put right. Almost impossible to speak to an advisor about this issue plus online links and call options broken.
Incompetence park customer service
Have plenty of appliances with the company washer tumble dryer fridge and freezer oven I wanted to try and get my TV covered with them as it's a sky glass they said they were call me to book that in and they never replied I also I'm complaining about my tumble dryer as I'm had it pair repaired five times last year alone and already twice this year I have told them this multiple times and yet they still insist repair it which would have been an issue if they didn't come and repair the problem straight away but they leave you two to three weeks with no tumble dryer turn up with the parts even though they know the problem and still say we're going to have to rebook it I've had to cancel work multiple times have my appliance fixed and the ice in on the top of the cake was when they came out Monday and didn't have the stuff to repair the tumble dryer with so how to read book for tomorrow Friday I told them I had an appointment I won a cork at the hospital hour to have an early morning appointment or an afternoon appointment later preferably and instead they booked me in between the hours of ten and one which is exactly when I have to be leaving for my appointment this is seriously getting unacceptable and I honestly believe that they are doing this just so they don't have to repair the problem again I will be putting in a series complaint with the company domestic in general and the world pool because these are the companies I go through
Sad UK customer service and a poor product
Bought a built-in combo oven 4 years ago. Repaired after about 10 months under guarantee for a faulty display. Engineer suggested the repair wouldn't last long as the design of the machine resulted in steam from cooking entering the control panel. Fault re-appeared after the repair but out of warranty. Normally turning the oven off and reentering the temp, time etc would also reset. Today it randomly switched to 'demo' mode and I was unable to reset (so no normal cooking functions are available). Contacted HotPoint by chat, was advised by them that there is no UK tech support and that they could not advise me how to switch from demo mode to normal function. Poor!
Edit: About 2 hrs of research on the internet revealed that to exit 'Demo' you push the 'back' button fore 10 seconds whilst the oven door is open. Why oh WHY couldn't Hotpoint tell me that??
Waited on hold and then hung up on 3 times
Called three times and waited on hold, only to be hung up on all three times
The whole experience was a thorough…
The whole experience was a thorough disgrace.
I feel sorry for all the staff who try to be helpful.
Have a 1.5yr old fridge freezer.
Have a 1.5yr old Indesit fridge freezer, Its knackered already.
Contacted them to find out part number so I could source a part.
They would not give me the part number, just wanted my phone number to sell me a part over the phone..
I Do not like giving card numbers over the phone to some random person.. In thist day and age of fake websites run by scammers you cant trust nobody you ant verify.
But to the point The product itself is crap breaking down already.
The aftercare is even worse than the product, very poor diabolical customer relations.
I will now never buy, Indesit, Hotpoint, Whirlpool or its related brands appliances ever again
IVR system is a joke
IVR system is a joke, 3rd world countries have a better system/ thoughtout system.
Signed up to the Domestic and General…
Signed up to the Domestic and General insurance policy and have had my appointment cancelled twice now with short notice. Unacceptable as I have to book time off to be available. Tried to call up to speak to someone and can't get through to an actual person. Seems like they just wanted me to sign up to the monthly insurance policy without actually coming out to fix my repair.
