Excellent service, steady growth, which gives confidence for investing. Only downside is make sure you keep your eye on the charges and how they are paid, It can be confusing! However, the staff are excellent in dealing with issues and very fair.

This is a very convenient website for investing in whisky maturing in barrels. It is a form of investment which provides fairly consistently predictable returns and I discovered recently is not subject to capital gains tax. The operation of buying and selling whisky is straightforward and the website provides a useful record of net potential and actual gains.
I recently had difficulty with my laptop handling the WhiskyDirect website, but was ably supported and successfully by a member of their help team.

Whiskey Investment is unique concept but highly reliable platform. The service team is very kind and supportive, and this increased my confidence on my investment here. Regular investment reward scheme is good incentive for me to increase yield. Overall, I’m very satisfied with WhiskeyInvestmentDirect.

Be very careful !! the platform support is good however BEWARE of the compliace team!! First they happily open your account ahh but when you send your money to their account, they never pay you, they start asking you for all kinds of documents to waste time (expensive to get like a letter from an accountant) even documents from your family! until you get tired or do not want to pay $ 160 to an accountant (after having had your money for almost a month for free) and see that it is not worth it to earn 5 pounds in who knows how long, they send your money back but it reaches less money to your account, be careful is not for investors!

I have been investing with WhiskyInvestDirect since it started in 2015. I am very happy with the on-line trading arrangement, as well as the returns on investment. The most attractive features are the knowledge of the bidding/offer prices at any time of the day, and the instantaneous opportunity to complete a transaction online like buying/selling shares in the stock market. I was particularly impressed two years ago with the introduction of pre-order bids for small investor like myself.

A very positive overall experience, considering the nature of the product. It is intuitive and easy to use, and the various aspects of buying and selling are well-explained and reasonable. The only letdown preventing a five-star review is the graphic layout of the website, which feels a bit vintage and (not for me personally, but for other users who are not necessarily familiar with the business) may not inspire total confidence in the service at first glance. But for those don't judge books by their covers and want a solid and reliable way to get involved in investing in whisky, look no further. It does what it says on the tin.

A relative newcomer to this form of investment I am very pleased by the way things have gone so far. The hotline was extremely helpful with my first steps setting up an account. Since then it has been plain sailing and the outlook seems very promising.

I have been a customer at WhiskyInvestDirect since 2015, and I am a very happy customer.

Over the years I have communicated with them many times, and they are always quick to respond in a professional, helpful, competent and friendly way. And I have noticed that they make fewer errors than any banks or stock brokers I know (and I know quite a few).

Unlike other reviewers here I do not think their fee for storage and insurance is too high. I made my own calculations of what their own cost might be here, and I am surprised that this fee is so low. This is probably due to the scale of their platform. I do not think they earn much on this fee.

They do earn on the rather high commission of 1.75%. That is a total of 3.5% for buying and later selling. But if the whisky bought is later sold out and the market spreads have become wide (as often happens) you can often recover all of this cost by placing a limit order to sell at a high price and waiting until a willing buyer shows up (ie. earning the spread). And I like how they make their market fair for everybody by giving such a buyer a warning about the high spread.

I cannot complain about my investments here: The returns I have seen here have been really good, considering the low risk (in particular the low price volatility, considering there is no counter-party risk when the whisky is directly owned).

Because I have been so happy with them my investment in Scotch whisky via their platform is now my second largest investment.

I have been investing for just over a year now and have been pleased with the profit margins. Some of my whiskey is up 10%+ which is great especially considering the impact of COVID-19. I aim to hit my quarterly targets for the reduced fee's for many years to come. The website is very informative and easy to use. Great addition to my investing portfolio👍
