Update 9-1-26
After my original review I had a prompt reply from Wickes asking for my contact details and saying how sorry they were so I thought we’d now get it resolved. Sadly, they’ve not rung or emailed me regarding this so I suspect it’s just a bot triggered to reply when they get a bad review. I have had the customer liaison person (Josh, who I’ve already been dealing with) emailing me after I emailed him for an update. He’s been fairly attentive but seemingly the problem is that they can’t get hold of the new installer who agreed the plan of work to repair the issues. They’ve now got the installation manager and the services manager chasing him but is there no oversight from higher up to try and push this towards a resolution? There’s no end in sight and we’re getting mighty fed up!
I wish I had never decided on Wickes to fit our shower room. The work started in May 2025 and stopped a couple of weeks later to enable a new sink to be delivered as a design flaw meant the original one would not fit in the setting it was meant to. It was another few weeks before the new sink was fitted and we could technically use the room. But there are a catalogue of faults which mean the room is still not really useable 7 months later. Shower tray is not level so water doesn’t drain, toilet is not actually sealed to the floor so moves when you sit on it, shoddy workmanship all round including damage to new window sill and surrounds, floor not level, electrics not right so fan won’t stay on when light is off (which it ought to do) and is always on when light is on. Hot and cold water feeds to sink tap are wrong as were the feeds to the shower. The latter was “fixed” by going through the wall behind the shower room, leaving us with having to decorate the whole hallway. Getting hold of customer services was difficult but eventually we managed and have had an installation manager out to assess the issue (August 2025). They recommended a new fitter to come and assess. He came early Sept and ordered new panelling as basically he has to start again to sort the shower out. The panelling was delivered in early Nov but we are still (mid Dec) waiting for the fitter to come and fit it. We paid very good money for an absolutely awful result. Do not go to Wickes as clearly they have no real oversight of the people who fit their bathrooms and they seem to have no desire to correct any deficiencies in a timely manner.

Wickes store in Aberdeen supplied an installer who worked on my Gas and electric without having the proper skills and qualifications to do either. Once I brought this to the attention of Wickes they denied that this was the case despite having photos and videos as proof. Avoid

We purchased a bathroom from Wickes at the end of 2024, excited by the idea of designing our dream space. Unfortunately, what followed was a year-long nightmare that we wouldn’t wish on anyone.
The first installation was carried out by what can only be described as cowboy builders. The workmanship was so poor that we had no choice but to have the entire bathroom ripped out and redone by a second installer. This left us without a functioning bathroom for weeks, and the second installation didn’t happen until months later.
Our home was damaged in the process — hallway walls, floorboards, and stairs were all affected because the first installers dragged tile-cutting equipment through the house instead of working outside. Wickes refused to replace the bath and shower, insisting that reinstalling the same used items was “sufficient.” They also knowingly installed a leaking bath tap, which can only be fixed by cutting into our bedroom wall due to its placement.
To make matters worse, Wickes failed to provide a waste disposal bag for the second installation, leaving piles of plasterboard and debris to rot in our garden for months, killing the grass. Throughout the ordeal, we sent hundreds of emails to various customer service agents — a process made even more frustrating by what appeared to be constant staff turnover and poor communication.
After a full year of stress and disruption, the project was finally completed last month. For all the damage, delays, and distress, Wickes offered a mere £255 as a “final offer” — a completely inadequate response to a £7,000 project gone wrong.
Please, if you’re considering using Wickes Aberdeen for a bathroom or kitchen renovation, think again. We deeply regret our decision and hope others can avoid the same experience.

Wickes isnt for Trade customers. I am writing this review on the 18th (check image attached for booked in date). This will usually be delivered as its not available in all stores. The delivery is outsourced. I got the link to book in a date, which I did promptly. I had the plumbers booked in the next day to the planned delivery. No delivery in sight on the booked date. I thought the local Wickes store could help - they refused to help. Called up wickes customer care and was on hold for 30 min. Mind I am in the trade so cant really afford to waste my time on calls through no fault of mine. Customer care takes no responsibility, says most they can do is fill out a form and wait to get a call back. 3 days passed, no sight of the bath or that mythical call, so wasted my time calling customer care. Was like groundhog day, "I will fill another form for you, and they will most definitely call this time". Maybe this is why companies turn off enough trade customers and finally run aground.

Home visit went well. Monica was lovely and listened to our comments about our kitchen. Arrived on time and was very professional throughout.

Failed customer service team. 5 attempts made to try and resolve a playhouse that was delivered sub standard. Wood partly treated and nails sticking out. 4 staff took details but failed to progress the issue and was lied too. Didn't receive a call back from any of them and also either didn't escalate the complaint to management or management could not be bothered to call back. Worst experience ever.

Not nearly enough room to write a review that covers all that went wrong.
Failed to start on the date agreed 3 months earlier resulting in vacation in the middle of install and nine weeks to complete two bathrooms. Toilet leaked after first installation, installer initially refused to fix it. Tradesmen not turning up when expected cracked or damaged furniture having to be replaced, rubbish left outside my house for over a week. Customer service non-existent. Only time I spoke to the customer service individual assigned to my installation was when he called me to get sign off so they could bill me, I emailed all my issues but they couldn't care less. Strongly suggest you vet your installer before they start work, there was a HUGE gap between what the Wickes designer said could be done and what the installer was prepared to do. We spent a lot of time and money with Wickes hoping for a hassle free installation, it was anything but and I feel completely let down, not least because they just don't care.
2025-12-08 Brief update: Following the response from Wickes on Trustpilot, they contacted me directly to request details of the problems (despite the fact that I had already provided them all the information). So what did they do once I gave them all the details? absolutely nothing, not only that, they ignored my follow up emails to ask if they planned on doing anything. This just reinforces my opinion that their response on Trustpilot was to appear to others that they are sympathetic while still planning on doing nothing.

We went to the Wickes Westhill store to see your stock of paint and other items that we required for a Springhill community garden project .
We spoke to Caleb and told him this was a community garden project and he pointed out to us that we could apply for funding through the Wickes community programme, Caleb explained everything to us and we applied for funding . We were delighted that we were successful. Caleb also helped us pick out the correct items we required and helped us to our car with heavy items . Caleb was very helpful, great service and a great asset to Wickes Westhill

On arrival at the store the staff were very helpful in assisting with loading the trailer.
Overall a very efficient and professional service which I shall use again in future.

Aberdeen/Westhill Branch: A good experience served by Sejal who was polite, friendly and was very knowledgible. Pointed out that I'd made a mistake in my measurements of laminate, underlay and quantities required which saved me money. A pleasure to visit Wickes outlet.

Went in with a vague idea of what I wanted. Spoke to a really helpful, polite staff member named Ahmed. He discussed what I needed to do, asked claifying questions. Then took me round to get the various items. A really good guy.

your white matt emulsion is the same consistency as milk! its so watered down when applying it there's just run marks everywhere. never seen emulsion so watery. last tub i got was from b&q and never had an issue, I can't paint with this stuff 4 coats on the same wall and I can still see the original colour. waste of money, sticking with b&q from now on.
