Kris was great. Friendly and knowledgeable and helped us with a few different options. It really gave us the chance to see how the kitchen would flow when finished. I would definitely recommend the service and Kris. 10/10.

Mike was so welcoming and knowledgable the first time we popped into the store, we went in knowing the overall look what we wanted but not knowing the footprint or design as our kitchen was due to be extended. This was still no problem for Mike and a few home visits and discussions later we were all set. Mike was supportive throughout and recommended the best guys for our kitchen fit too. We cannot express how great and seamless this process was for us! We absolutely love our new kitchen. Thank you to Mike at Wickes Westwood Cross and to our amazing kitchen fitters John and Jake.

We had the kitchen of our dreams designed by Mike, he gave us everything we were looking for and even some things we didn't think about ourselves that were incredibly useful. He recommended our fitters who were also top notch from dumptom park projects/Ashworth carpentry again could not fault these guys either.
100% would recommend wickes and the fitters mentioned, we are in love with our finished kitchen .

I'd like to thank the Store Manager and staff of Broadstairs Wickes in Thanet, Kent, who were so helpful when I went in to purchase bath taps and a sack of floor leveler.
I went into store 15 mins before it closed on a Saturday evening, and the manager and staff were polite and happy to help.
Even though the store was due to close for the evening, they did not rush me and helped me find the products I needed. The manager ensured the bath taps were the right size I needed, and even took our purchased items to car as the sack of floor leveler was very heavy.

I have visited the Westwood Cross branch several times. On each occasion I have found staff unhelpful - talking to each other whilst I was waiting at the till to pay, uninterested and seemingly lacking in knowledge when responding to any questions - and very vague instructions on where to find anything.

It’s hard to know where to begin. This has been an utter nightmare from the failed design with no measurements, incompetent installer ( taken all the money ) who had to have all his work ripped out by the 2nd installer who has lied to us and still not finished the bathroom due to complete in February. Still no working bathroom. And the final straw , installers have stolen the new radiators ..luckily we have ring doorbell footage to share. Utterly awful. Stay away! No apologies from Wickes, no compensation.

The people at this location were incredibly helpful and approachable with our asks and the communication was stellar. Their donation was greatly appreciated and it's helping the museum continue with some of our most valuable projects, which is help that we are incredibly grateful for.

Had a small order arranged for today. They used citysprint as the courier.
Tracking info showed that they picked the order up from the store but then showed i had cancelled the order (which i never did) when I phoned wickes they said that the driver tried to deliver it but I wasn't in.
I've waited in all afternoon for the delivery and my ring door bell proves that they never attempted delivery!!!

Wickes solution was to offer me a delivery slot in 3 days time. Simply not good enough.

We had our dream kitchen designed by Mike and although we knew what we wanted Mike made the process really easy and gave us some ideas that we hadn't thought of. The experience so far has been exceptional and we are looking forward to our delivery in a few days time

Visited the Broadstairs store today to buy some flooring and had a lovely experience. A very kind member of staff called James helped me with my flooring and took it to the car and loaded it in for me. He was very polite and helpful Thank you James a credit to Wickes.

My experience having used Wickes to design my kitchen has been amazing.
I wasn't looking forward to the process but Mike made it an enjoyable venture, even during the planning when I changed my mind about some of my choices
Communication was brilliant and I was put at ease immediately

This is the second time I have used Wickes and specifically Mike Wood. Both times the service has been excellent. Helpful but not pushy. Mike has a great eye for detail and has helped us create two great kitchens.

Smooth, easy process. The communication with Mike was amazing, went above and beyond.

My awful experience vs what Wickes advertises

1/ Wickes promises a “Bathroom Installation Service you can trust” – full design to completion with vetted installers.

Here’s what actually happened 👇

2/ CLAIM: “We take care of everything… you’ve got the right person for the job”

REALITY:
• Installer delivered substandard work
• Entire job now needs ripping out and restarting
• No contingency when installer disappeared

3/ CLAIM: “Service you can trust” (90% satisfaction, ServiceMark accredited)

REALITY:
• Calls not returned
• Weeks without resolution
• Left with an unusable bathroom

Trust? Completely broken.

4/ CLAIM: “Trusted installation”

REALITY:
• Independent builder described work as poor & poorly planned
• Does not represent value for money
• Basic installation standards not met

5/ CLAIM: “Free design service”

REALITY:
• Bathroom design didn’t even fit the room
• Key structural issue (chimney stack) ignored
• Entire project compromised from day one

6/ CLAIM: “Quality to be proud of”

REALITY:
• Shower tray & tiles need replacing
• Water containment issues
• Full remedial works required

This is not “quality” – it’s failure.

7/ CLAIM: “From design to installation… everything you need”

REALITY:
• No coordination between teams
• I’ve had to chase everything myself
• Paid £4,693 for work that now needs redoing

8/ The result:

• Weeks of disruption
• Financial loss
• Significant stress for my family
• A bathroom that cannot be used

9/ This isn’t just poor service – it’s a complete breakdown across:
Design ❌
Installation ❌
Project management ❌
Customer service ❌

10/ If you’re considering Wickes for a bathroom installation – ask hard questions.

Because the experience I’ve had is nowhere near what’s advertised.
