Wickes - Burgess Hill Reviews 

We used Wickes Burgess Hill to renovate our kitchen. Michelle was our designer and she was fantastic to work with. She really took the time to understand our wishes, and explained the options available to us within our budget. She gave us time to make our own choices, but also provided valuable suggestions. Michelle was very quick to get back to us about anything, and accommodating throughout, especially when we kept making last minute tweaks! We always felt well supported by Michelle and were very pleased at how well the budget was kept to.

Kevin the fitter was also very good - great to have in the house, completed the job very timely and to an excellent standard. He was very approachable and patient with our extra job requests, and included us in decisions so that we felt part of the process.

We are very happy with our new kitchen, it looks incredible and is so much more functional now - it has really enhanced how we use and spend time in the space.

Wickes Burgess Hill designed our kitchen and discovered what we needed in no time at all. Functionality and symmetry was considered, managing our smaller galley kitchen space seemed easy. Ashley Gajjar was our designer and he is clearly very experienced and very professional. It's now finished and our space is transformed.

George has been very helpful designing us a new kitchen and been there to answer any questions or queries as we have change the design several times

George Dickson in the Burgess Hill branch has been extremely helpful in providing information and planning for a bathroom. He did not rush us at all and showed us the fittings etc both in store and online.

I was excellently guided and got was i needed after i asked several questions from the staff called Pam, which with enthusiasm put me through. What a great service

We recently had our bathroom updated, with a new walk in shower, sink, toilet, cupboards and tiling. From the very start at design stage we were helped by the Wickes designer George to make it look how we wanted, with good information provided and no pressure to go with a particular style.

Once the design was finalised, the builders were booked. They came round prior to the work starting to make sure that everything was ready, and while doing the work were on time, very courteous and made sure to involve us in any decisions that had to be made during the work.

The work itself is of a high standard, completed on time and we are very happy with the outcome.

Man turned up, could have been anyone! No Wickes top, no badge, no ID, even his car unmarked.
Had a casual way about him and didnt properly introduce home self to the extent I had to ask what his credentials are. Failed to come prepared to write dimensions and I had to provide him with paper! Not great

We purchased a new kitchen/utility area supply and installation from Wickes.

The design was excellent and the fitting first class.

We have no hesitation in recommending similar from Wickes.

We were so fortunate to have Michelle from Burgess Hill Wickes as the designer for our bathrooms....she's brilliant. Knowledgeable, efficient, responsive and with the ability to steer us in the right direction whilst still incorporating our preferences and ideas, Michelle provided a 6 star service....even going the extra mile to drop off samples at our door on her way home from work! (When choosing Wickes, you do need to take care to select their quality products and avoid the cheapest options. I originally chose non rectified tiles, but the fitter strongly advised against using these). We made numerous tweaks to the design along the way, and Michelle was continually supportive, keen and helpful as we worked together to get it right. I was also impressed that the original ballpark estimate was very close to the final figure. Thank you Michelle.

Earlier in the year we went to Wickes for them to provide a new kitchen, bathroom and flooring for our home which had been rented out for 19 years. It was in need of some urgent TLC before going on the market. We visited the Burgess Hill branch and had a phone appointment with Ashley Gajjar in the Design Dept. We were living away but he visited the house to measure up the kitchen and bathroom (plus living/dining room for flooring). In March, we came and had a face-to-face appointment in Burgess Hill, to choose the styles we wanted. Ashley had done a great 3D rendered computerised design and we managed to select the finish we wanted with ease. He was knowledgeable on the ranges available and guided us to items to match our budget. Good sense of humour too! The delivery and installation was top notch with excellent contractors, who liaised by phone to make sure we were happy with what they were instructed to do. We were delighted with the finish and instead of putting the house on the market, decided not to sell it after all!
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wickes to anyone wishing to undergo a refurb to their home at great prices!

Everytime I've been into the Burgess Hill store everyone has been so helpful.
A special mention must go to George Dickson though, who has been outstanding in helping us with our complex kitchen design. George has an excellent knowledge of all the kitchens and their permutations. He's always super friendly, patient and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him.

Ours was started on 19th May and still is not finished (23 July)! We had electrical work done that was dangerous and only sorted when we continued to chase non stop! Still not finished as their ONLY installer is on holiday..

Note; the installer assigned to us wired our cooker to a double 13amp socket (should be at least 16amp) and nothing attached to main board!!! Still no electrical certificate to confirm any work is safe!!!!

Legal action being looked into now… reported to electrical governing body to investigate

Michelle instore is an amazing designer who has helped us so much during this nightmare. If only everyone at Wickes had the same standard of work

Wickes - you requested details below then did nothing with this??? No contact - no further forward (now 5th August - kitchen still not finished)

Sometimes things go wrong. We get that, it’s life. But, it’s the way these issues are dealt with that makes the difference. Someone who does this brilliantly is Amy in the Burgess Hill store. Totally professional, returned phone calls when she said she would, went out of her way to ensure our issues were resolved. An absolute superstar!

Michelle from the Burgess Hill store was a pleasure to deal with. She clearly understood all the products available and was able to provide great advice with no pressure.

Michelle was great, no complaints, came over took all measurements listened to what we wanted within the new kitchen, we spoke about different options, Michelle had the plans ready quickly she was happy to change somethings that we changed our minds on nothing was to much for Michelle, I would highly recommend to anyone, so so happy with the service. Purchased the kitchen 1 week later, will be booking in for our bathroom next. Thank you Michelle ur fab!!

George Dickson has been absolutely fantastic in helping us design a kitchen and three bathrooms in a bungalow for our parents-in-law. He is so helpful and knowledgeable and made the whole process so easy. Nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend George 100% to friends and family.

I purchased some novocore medium oak flooring about 2 and a half years ago for 2 rooms and about a year after that there was a clicking noise coming from the flooring. About 6 months later the flooring was cracking. I went back to the Wickes store I purchased the flooring from and was told that I needed to contact the customer service team. 5 months of emails back and forth and Wickes still haven’t offered to resolved the problem. I then went back to the Wickes store I purchased the flooring from and was told that I had used the wrong underlay and that there is nothing they can do. I was told by a member of staff which underlay to use and that it was the right underlay for the flooring. I have now got to spend more money on new flooring due to incorrect information from Wickes and a poor quality product.

I went into wicks burgess hill and I met Chris asked him a few questions about what I requested and he was above and beyond helpful.
Good job and thank you for a great service others should follow suit.

Michelle at Wickes Burgess Hill went above and beyond during the planning of our new kitchen. Every question was answered, all of our options were clearly explained and the kitchen she designed for us was beautiful and ticked every box. In my family alone, we have had Michelle design three of our kitchens and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to everyone I know.
