I drove to Wickes at Carlisle to buy a bathroom radiator, I tried to lift the radiator myself but it was too heavy, I am 77 years old and not in best of health, I asked for assistance from a young man called Jim, he couldn’t have been more helpful, he got a trolley and put it in my boot for me.

Carlisle & District Model Engineering Society would like to say a big thankyou to Neil and all the staff at Wickes Carlisle. We run a miniature railway in a public park where we have public running days. Through their community programme we were able to get supplies to carry out some essential maintenance work on our storage sheds and track. I popped in to ask for some advice whilst buying kitchen units for Eden Valley Hospice and found Neil and the team to be so helpful and knowledgeable. On his suggestion I applied through Wickes community programme and Wickes have so generously donated the units. They will be used to provide a self service kitchenette in our dining room so that visitors can obtain hot food and drinks when the main restaurant is closed. This is so kind and helps us provide the best service we can to our patients and their families. Thank you so much.

Great experience. We are a charity in Carlisle called Uncovering Roman Carlisle. We work to provide opportunities for anyone to get stuck in with archaeology, we have hundreds of people volunteer with us. Wickes did a fantastic job of supporting the project with a donation of a sturdy wheelbarrow, buckets, and brushes, which have seen a lot of use! I had made the decision to buy the natura dawn kitchen, made the appointment with the design consultant Agnieszka Malgorzata Szylinska at Wickes Carlisle, she measured and designed kitchen, the whole process was quick and efficient, she understood what I wanted and it made the whole process seamless. Bought Solar Panels and installation from Wickes/solarfast. Great advice from Elliott with projected cost savings/advice. Installed a week later so started saving straight away. Super smooth process. Decision maker was selling back to the grid which will help pay some of my Gas bill too.

Recently bought solar panels, inverter and 2 X batteries from Wickes/Solarfast. Elliot is the man for the job and went through the whole process in a professional manner. Very knowledgeable and explained it all top to bottom. Great price for the full set up, was surprised how reasonable it was. Solarfast themselves were top dollar arranging scaffold and fitting is very professional.
Highly recommend Elliot, Wickes and Solarfast, excellent seamless experience. Roll on free/cheap electric and selling back to the grid is an added bonus.

Been to wicks today for a new kitchen ,carol that dealt with us was really helpful and friendly ,she took the stress out of it all

I’m really pleased with the service and the attention Neil Patterson (Store manager) gave to me and my friend. Two ladies trying to do a plumbing job repair which cost a few trips back and forth to the store, but what I appreciate most is the kind and professional attitude he showed us.
We solved the problem thankfully and I’ll definitely go back to Wickes Carlisle again.
