Wickes - Dundee Reviews 

Buying a new kitchen proved to be incredibly more complicated than we expected. The choices and options are almost endless. We were extremely grateful to Jon for his care and attention in working our way through it with great visualisations at every stage which made it easier to understand. He was incredibly patient and good humoured throughout. It really made a difference.

I visited Wickes in Kingsway Dundee yesterday. I am not a regular used of DIY stores and didn’t know where to look for the items I required. I approached an assistant called Janet and she took me to the isle and pointed out the goods I required. She was friendly and very efficient. She then took me to the checkout and completed my purchases. It was a delight to receive such a high level of customer service which is sadly lacking in some stores. Janet is a great asset to Wickes

I shop in Wickes regularly as I run a property maintenance company. The products are generally good quality and fairly priced. There is a great selection of products and I usually find everything I need.
Caitlin today was very helpful and always engages and says hello. She is probably the only staff member who will actually speak to you. The rest won't look in your direction or acknowledge you unless you need to ask for something.

Weekend student on the tills, Tiegan. Been at the Dundee store a couple of years(?). Always smiles. Always polite. Always helpful. Presents well. If I were an employer looking for a front of house person, I’d offer her a job. A credit to the manager who took her on.

I had planned to use Wickes from the beginning, I used their website and was able to easily put together what I wanted for my kitchen. I made an appointment on the website for a home visit. Scott Lorimer was assigned as my design consultant from my local store, Dundee, He came to my house and we discussed what I wanted however I wasn’t sure of how to design it, Scott came up with an excellent design which now it has been installed it is stunning. I did go into the store to meet my Scott to see the design and the quote for my kitchen which I was happy with. I was quickly assigned a company to take out and fully install my kitchen. The installers were fantastic, they were tidy, worked 10 hour days and great workmanship. Also Danielle from Wickes customer service kept in touch through the install. I highly recommend using Wickes in Dundee, I’m delighted with my new kitchen.

Jon at Dundee wickes was very helpful and designed our kitchen for us.
He came up with some good ideas that we hadn’t thought about.
Would definitely recommended.

We knew what we wanted and the Wickes designer measuered it and put it on the computer and helped with the details.
The firm who installed the kitchen were brilliant. Chris Woods managed the installation as well as being the jner responsible for fitting the kitchen. He used a very professional bunch of skilled people to do the electrics plastering painting and tiling. We are left with a beautiful kitchen exactly as we planned it.

I was looking for 2 outside electrical junction boxes at Dundee Kingsway Wickes and Teigan was able to direct me to Aisle 9 for them. Just what I needed. Many Thanks.

We popped into have a look at the kitchen section and chatted with designer Scott Lorimer. Scott was warm welcoming and we booked a design consultation. Scott took our ideas and made it come to life. He kept us in budget without downgrading our vision, it was evident that Scott has an excellent knowledge of your products and was able to guide us through different options an styles. Scott was an absolute joy to work with from listening to our ideas, design and booking delivery. Wickes Scott is an absolute credit to your company!!!

We went to wicks to get some ideas for a new bathroom. And the service we received was excellent. The advisor Jon Firmin was 1st class he listened to what we wanted gave us ideas of different solutions and could not do enough to help us through the whole process.

How bad was that visit? Guy on the tills would have been better not even being there, never looked at me once, never said hello, never said thanks and never said bye.

Couldn’t have been less interested, less motivated, less interested in anything, never mind customer service.

The worst experiences I’ve had in this store

Hi, I don't normally write reviews but on this occasion I will make an exception. I had a home visit to have my kitchen measured-up by Scott Lorimer from your Wickes store in Dundee. I have already had a different company in my home to do the same, but the difference was unbelievable! Scott's approach was far more professional and definitely FAR MORE thorough than the previous company's "expert". He was able to give his input and ideas on important design and lay-out aspects that neither my wife nor myself had ever thought of. Scott is a thoghrouly professional expert and a massive credit to your company. Thank you once again Scott.

The designer Jon was great, absolutely no complaints about him. HOWEVER, after Wickes took our full payment upfront (mandatory) we were then in the hands of their install team. After weeks of not hearing from their ‘appointed installer’ their answer was that I should keep chasing them!!! Still havent had any contact. Absolutely dire customer service so I guess I’ll try and get a refund.

Tiegan provided an excellent service, she was able to recommend stock for items at other branches (on my route home) that I had bought the last units of in Dundee. Thank you!
