Just bought a kitchen from wickes, Richard aided us in the process from the beginning till the end. He came and measured our kitchen in a professional manner and booked us for the nearest desgin appointment in the store, where he sat and listened to all of our wants which he accommodated really well while also inputting his expert knowledge which was largely appreciated. Richard is an assets to Wickes and I will definitely recommend wickes solely based off my experience with dealing with Richard.

Had an excellent design drawn up from Design Consultant Richard Probert at Hall Green Birmingham, and what an brilliant experience with a very professional and informed kitchen designer will strongly recommend.

I would not buy wickes novocore vinyl flooring it comes with a 25 year guarantee but once you leave the shop that no longer is the case the floor lasted 4 months then started coming apart at the ends I went into the store to explain the issue I was told by the cashier to leave it down leave my details and it would be looked at that never happened I kept contacting wickes about this and got no reply finally I had no choice but to get the floor changed as the customer has young children and guests arriving on the 28 for the holy month I contacted wickes again this time I was told because I excepted the flooring at the point of sale the guarantee is void so I am now out of pocket over £500 this should not be allowed to happen and I won’t leave it there beware if you purchase this flooring it’s wickes own brand massive mistake recommending this to my customer I’ve been putting floors down for over 20 years and have never had this issue thx wickes for selling inferior products still nothing been done about the rubbish I had from wickes they are just replying on here to make it look like it’s being dealt with they have told me my guarantee ran out the moment I left the store 25 year guarantee it’s supposed to have

Avoid Wickes at All Costs – Unreliable Deliveries

I deeply regret ever ordering a kitchen from Wickes. The entire experience has been a nightmare from start to finish.

My kitchen was delivered on 12/02/2025, and from day one, there were issues—one item was missing, and another was damaged. The missing item won’t be delivered until next week because I have been told it's out of stock, which is bad enough, but the real issue is the damaged item. Without it, my builder cannot install the kitchen, leaving my entire project on hold.

I spent a whole week making numerous phone calls to get a replacement. I was promised the replacement would arrive yesterday, but it didn’t. When I asked for a tracking number, I finally got one—only to find out it didn’t even work. When the replacement finally arrived today, it was damaged again!! The units are not packaged properly leading to damage in transportation.

Out of sheer frustration, I went into the store. While the deputy manager and a particular customer service manager were helpful, their hands were tied because of their delivery process. They cannot provide a 'next day' delivery and could not even give me an estimated delivery date. All I was told was to wait for a tracking number today—which, surprise surprise, hasn’t come yet.

Wickes has the audacity to tell me that I should have checked all the items upon delivery and that they have 30 days to fix any issues before. How is that even reasonable? As an elderly person, how am I supposed to go through numerous boxes and inspect every item? And where exactly am I meant to store an entire kitchen for 30 days?

To make matters worse, I was never informed of these ridiculous policies when I placed my order. Their team knew that there was a builder in my property, ready to install the kitchen upon arrival. Their team communicated directly with my builder. Still, here I am, with a half-built kitchen and no answers.

With hindsight, I would never order anything from Wickes again. If you value your time, money, and sanity, do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

*If Wickes resolves this issue quickly and properly, I will update my review to reflect that. However, based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend them.*

So impressed with our visit to Wickes today! From the outset Richard, our designer was enthusiastic and engaged with what we wanted as well as putting us at ease. He came up with good suggestions that will enhance using the kitchen on a daily basis. He made sure that we were comfortable at each stage of the process and has created a great looking, value for money kitchen for us. Can’t wait for the installation! Thanks Richard!

I cancelled my order with wren and choose wickes for the design and price and customer service.
With wren its all about sale then no good customer service but with wickes i have had richard dealing with my kitchen and I really cant praise him enough,nothing was ever too much for him .
The customer service has been exceptional,if i ever need another kitchen or family and friends do ,i know id recommend wickes and richard for his design and patience.

After having a few quotes for the kitchen we went for Wickes (Hall Green, Birmingham branch). The best part of the experience was Mizan Rahman, the design consultant. He was great: not pushy, gentle, friendly and so knowledgeable. His design was great and our kitchen looks fantastic. The quality of the materials is good. There is a little chip on the counter, not sure whether that was the workmen (hired separately) or Wickes. Probably workmen. The cupboards are of excellent quality in dark/navyblue and look very chic :)

Richard was professional in his approach and his experience in the kitchen design field shone through. He was very attentive and took the time to listen to my ideas and offered advise on what my options could be.

Came to wickes after securing a kitchen with wren just to see what quartz options wickes had. After speaking with Richard (when i asked for some help around their quartz options) i was super impressed. Richard was honest, informative and very helpful. So helpful infact i decided to cancel my order with wren and sit down with richard to talk through what wickes has to offer. We were very pleased with Richards expertise, patience and honest approach. He has helped us now design our perfect kitchen that we are looking forward to receiving in the new year. Would highly recommend anyone looking for a new kitchen to visit Richard @ wickes in Hall Green.

Choice between Wickes and Wren! Wickes won hands down. Happy with the pricing and had quite a quirky kitchen that required a lot of work to divert water and waste pipes. Went for their bespoke kitchen which is top quality, Their design consultant Richard made some good suggestions, things I wouldn’t have even considered, which I went with. Couldn’t have gone better.
