Went to Wicks to get some plumbing equipment for a upcoming project in my back garden. Not really sure what I was doing or what I would need. Until a helpful young man called Tom appeared and guided me on the correct parts and equipment I may need.

I was greeted as I entered by Luke.Found what I wanted quickly and Luke checked my products out and took the money.Can't fault Wickes Hereford staff.Very polite and friendly and usually have what I'm looking for.

From home visit to store to see the bathroom being planned was excellent, Eva from kitchens and bathroom compiled options for us and then facilitated our changes to suit our circumstances and alterations to the original. All the items we required were delivered in timely fashion and one section of the shower base was damaged which the delivery driver arranged replacement immediately and it was delivered not long after. When every thing was fitted it was noticed a imperfect chrome handle supplied. Took back to the store and spoke to Eva about it and 48hrs later a new one in the post to us. The store in general was helpful on returning unused/un needed items immediately refunded. A big thanks to Eva for all the assistance throughout the process. Mandy

I have always used Wicks as a good alternative, providing needed items if I am in the vicinity.

This week I needed 2x1 laths or equivalent for a project and decided that Wickes would be a good outlet to visit.

Initially I was, as always, pleased to be in the shop. It is spacious and has interesting items available.

However upon locating the wood section, and trying to calculate my requirements I was met with a barrage of noise from a speaker directly above. It was not popular music, was a carcophany of shouting sound which was anything but soothing or welcoming, reverberating around the shop, and creating a complete distraction. Choice of tracks and volume are the two issues which come to mind.

I managed to grab a bundle and one separate longer lath, paid, complained and left as quickly as possible. By his response I feel the poor assistant was in total agreement.

Upon arriving home I discovered that the longer lath was distorted in two directions, something which I usually check on.

I returned it the next day, together with the bundle, which I had sourced elsewhere for nearly half the price.

I am disappointed Wickes, in the experience I had, with the noise creating anything but a professional backdrop to choosing and buying products off your shelves. I am also disappointed that the few items available were substandard, had not been checked and removed from sale beforehand, and even then were not competitively priced.

I would respectfully ask that your head office should consider choosing and playing a far more conducive choice of tracks, at half the volume, to subliminally encourage your customers to stay in the shop.

Mandeep Kaur came and helped with the design and when fitting it all fitted perfectly. Needed to order extra items & Mandeep sorted these with no problems. Thanks Wicks & especially you Mandeep.

Jess & Jesse at Hereford Branch are spot on - always helpful to sort out issues unlike the main customer services of Wickes who are so unhelpful - the staff at Hereford are a credit to Wickes its a pity the head office cant see this

I always shop at Wickes where possible, I'm a trade shopper and can normally find everything I need for my jobs. I'm often served by David who always greats me with a happy smile and great service.

I had a very good experience from beginning to end with purchasing the kitchen from Wickes. Mandeep Kaur the designer was an active support all the way through which I appreciated.

My design consultant was Mandeep who did a fantastic job in measuring, designing and advising me on my beautiful new kitchen. The kitchen was delivered on time and all goods delivered were in perfect condition. All products were of good quality and I am thrilled with my new kitchen. Thank you Mandeep and thank you Wickes.

Excellent service, would definitely recommend Wickes especially Eva Marie who was very professional yet friendly too.

I prefer Wickes to any of the other merchant stores. There is a good selection of products, more on the app, and the staff are always friendly. Tony in particular has helped me out many times over the years. Happy to recommend.

Tony in the Hereford store is extremely friendly and will always go out of his way to help you. He is very knowledgeable and always says hello when I pop in.

Excellent staff especially Tony who is a vital member, always helpful.
