Wickes - Macclesfield Reviews 

At the Macclesfield store we were enquiring in regards to a new kitchen.
The lady who saw to us was incredibly miserable and made us feel very unwelcome.
We could tell she absolutely did not want to be talking to us and it felt very judgmental and just awkward all round. Massively dissapointing, and we walked out thinking we definitely won’t use Wickes as she was so rude.

Reuben went the extra mile when helping me.

Recently had some great technical and design advice on paint from Lynda. Always very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful - thank you.

Great customer service at Macclesfield especially Lynda who is always really helpful and happy to point us in the right direction for any products we may need.

Ive been using wickes macclesfield most weeks recently as im working in the area. More and more DIY stores are disorganised and resemble jumble sales but I must say this store is very well organised, clean, tiday and helpful staff. Shame not more parking spaces available as ways seems busy.

Excellent service received in macclesfield wickes over the weekend.
The store was very busy when we arrived on Sunday and we needed assistance with buying paint and bathroom products. A lady Called Lynda helped and was amazing, there was people waiting for help also so we appreciated her help.
We recently purchased a bathroom so we had lots of accessories to buy, Lynda gave us great advice and helped us greatly.

Lynda was very helpful and very polite. She helped us find what we wanted in seconds 😃

My husband and I paid for a kitchen in full on August 8th 2025 and had to wait 4 months for it to be delivered and for the work to start. We were told that it would take 4-5 days in total for the kitchen to be installed. But as the fitters began to unpack the kitchen it was discovered that there were no work tops. Regardless they proceeded to install the kitchen minus the tops. We were then left for 19 days without a functioning kitchen which, for an elderly couple in their eighties with serious health conditions, was very stressful and totally unacceptable. To compound the issue we were left with a load of rubbish that we had to pay to have removed. For the inconvenience Wickes offered us the £65 we'd paid for removal of the rubbish and additionally a paltry £150 for the stress they'd put us through. The reimbursement had to he done online and as someone in my 80s I was not able to use the system so I went into the Wickes store to let them know. I spoke to James who refused to help me and the next thing I know they've closed down the case and refused to pay any compensation whatsoever.

Well done Ben! Showed great initiative today in helping me with organising a hard wood home delivery. Great customer skills - make sure your Store Manager recognises you on this one Ben!

I use wicks Macclesfield all the time and I have done for years and the staff are absolutely brilliant. Linda Tara. and Sarah are amazing. They go out the way for you all the time couldn’t ask for better staff.

The kitchen designer was extremely helpful and gave very good advice - she advised us not to have too many different surfaces as it would make the kitchen too busy. She was extremely patient and nothing was too much trouble. Some things did need changing but the kitchen fitters advised us about this when they visited us.
