Wickes - Macclesfield Reviews 

The kitchen designer was extremely helpful and gave very good advice - she advised us not to have too many different surfaces as it would make the kitchen too busy. She was extremely patient and nothing was too much trouble. Some things did need changing but the kitchen fitters advised us about this when they visited us.

Libby was great. She was responsive,good- humoured and informal which helped the flow of ideas in spite of a tricky small kitchen.

Not happy with overall experience in store.
Didnt think that Libby wanted to be there ,
We were made to feel like we weren't good enough and shouldn't of been there ourselves.

The Design Consultant that we are dealing with (Marie Johnson) is extremely efficient, helpful, patient and knowledgeable.

WELL IF ANY ONE IS LOOKING FOR A NEW KITCHEN THEN IF YOU WANT A GOOD SERVICE IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG THEN DON'T GO TO WICKES!!! IN MY CASE A DELIVERY OF 3 WORK TOPS WENT MISSING, AND EVERY DAY I RANG WICKES, AND EACH TIME I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD LOOK INTO THE MATTER AND THEY WOULD GET BACK TO ME! WELL I AM STILL WAITING! IN THE END THE TOPS DID ARRIVE 19 DAYS LATE, THE WICKES OWN KITCHEN FITTERS DID COME BACK BUT MADE US FEEL AWKWARD, BECAUSE THEY ARE BUSY PEOPLE WITH JOBS BACKING UP! THE KITCHEN WAS BOUGHT AND PAID FOR ON 8TH AUGUST IN FULL. THE KITCHEN WAS STARTED ON 10TH NOVEMBER. TOLD IT WAS A 4/5 DAY JOB THEY COMPLETED IT ON THE 28TH NOVEMBER!! WE ARE AN OLDER COUPLE LEFT ALL THIS TIME WITH NO FOOD PREPERATION AREA! MY HUSBAND IS 86 AND IN EARLY STAGES OF DEMENTIA,I AM 80 AND A DIABTIC SO FOOD PREPERATION IS IMPORTANT!! ALL THIS WAS EXPLAINED TO WICKES REPESENTATIVE BUT IT MADE NO DIFFERENCETO THEM!

The really good way which I was shown all the available kitchens styles and prices, a very professional approach by Mr Muhammad Faizan, felt no pressure to buy or accept something I didn't want, overall a very relaxing experience

Our new kitchen was supplied by Wickes of Macclesfield and designed in-store by Mr Muhammad Faizan in consultation with us. Now that it's all in place we find it suits our needs perfectly and, given that the one it replaced was fairly dark and cramped, feels amazingly light, spacious and airy. Furthermore the fitter that Wickes sent to install it, Mr Jamie Price, handled the job superbly, working with great skill and efficiency and with an unmistakable perfectionism, as did the specialists in plastering, electrical installation and tiling that he brought in. It is worth mentioning that removing the old kitchen threw up a couple of real problems (eg. the old flooring was a nightmare to get up) but these obstacles were handled with equal skill and the job was still completed on time. All in all we could not be more pleased.

Having just been to Wickes in Macclesfield, I wanted to say what a refreshing experience my friend and I had. A lovely young man called Adam who worked in store helped us both with purchasing some heavy bags of slate. He carried all ten bags and put them on our trolley, not only that, he actually came out of the store and loaded them up in the boot of my car. Charming, polite and professional, something which is very rare to find. Well done young man. Excellent service.

Muhammad Faizan, our kitchen designer, made the whole experience a delight. From our first meeting in January to our latest interaction in late May, Muhammad was knowledgeable, helpful and always available to answer our queries and chase up any issues. Even if he was not immediately available he would get in touch as soon as he could. Muhammad gave us excellent service from initial contact, through the whole process of design, ordering, delivery and post installation. Post installation, he arranged for unused items to be collected and refunded, chasing things up if there seemed to be delays. At all times we were kept informed of progress.

We had the pleasure of meeting with Muhammad to discuss our bathroom plans. He was considerate, professional & extremely helpful in guiding us through the process

Muhammad was very personable and keen to help us out in any way he could even though it was only a small kitchen extension. Thanks Muhammad - keep up the good work and hope you get a bonus as you deserve one.

Really appreciate his effort and solving our complex bathroom structure design for refurbishment.

Where to start?... we were told installation would be within 6-8 weeks of ordering our bathroom inshore, after 4 weeks we were chasing up as nobody contacted us to move forward. The sales advisor that sold us the bathroom miss calculated the amount of tiling we would need by about half! Which meant the final price was even higher. The bathroom was installed eventually for nearly 1.5k more than estimated by the advisor after ALOT of chasing! The shower and tray was not measured correctly so we have limited room to get in and out. The wickes customer service team have arranged a new shower and tray to be fitted. Well not fitted but delivered to us weeks ago and still haven't been here to fit them! Oh yeah and this has all happened while my wife has been heavily pregnant and barely been able to get in and out of the shower! The stress alone has not been worth it, let alone the price. Really disappointing as we chose to go with a big company rather than a small firm as we needed things done properly and smoothly

I walked into Macclesfield Wickes to browse and get some ideas of prices for a new kitchen, I spoke to Muhammad the kitchen designer, he was fantastic, couldn't do enough to help me, within an hour he had planned and priced my kitchen. I bought it straight away. Great service. Thankyou

I received a bathroom delivery from Wickes, Stockport. It took the delivery guys three attempts.
There were parts missing and I was told to call customer services to sort. No answer.
I then went into my local Wickes store, Macclesfield.Everything changed. I met the kitchen designer Muhammad, he was fantastic, couldn't do enough to help me, emailed customer services on several occasions and the parts will now arrive nxt week. Wasn't getting far with Stockport but Muhammad sorted everything. I would give him more than 5 stars if I could. Thanks again Muhammad. Dennis

Stockport didn't help me. They just kept saying speak to customer services instead of helping as they sold me the product, ie the bathroom.

We had a great experience with Muhammad at Macclesfield. Our bathroom was a tricky shape and also quite small but Muhammad really took his time to find us the best option and the best layout which was great. He showed us the design in 3D which really helped to visualise the plans and he came out to the house to check it was a feasible plan which was reassuring!

We had an excellent experience with Muhammad. He took the time to carefully listen to our requirements and provided a design that matched exactly what we were looking for. His attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction were truly impressive. We are quite pleased with his service and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a reliable and attentive professional.
