Wickes - Newmarket Reviews 

Wickes refuse to accept liability for a botched repair to the toilet which they authorised under the 2 year bathroom installation warranty. The toilet is leaking again three years later. Now, using an endoscope (camera) we can see that the leaking seal was patched over with resin. At the time we assumed the repair had been done properly. They have dismissed our claim on the grounds that it is out of warranty. Very convenient for Wickes. No doubt many installation faults manifest themselves years later after the incompetent sub contractors have long gone. Next time I will get a locally recommended tradesman rather than a company which relies on sub-contractors. Wickes should take responsibility for shoddy repairs.

Went to wickes on Thursday last week and felt with a loverly lady called Lisa I was after some 110mm waste pipe and fittings ,I couldn't find them in store lisa pointed out they are outside but the doors were broken so she said ill go out there and get everything I needed within 15 mins I had everything I needed and signed up to trade account with 10 per cent off she was fantastic and a credit to your company defo going back to that store

I ordered close to £1000 of products, and during the stage of being delivered some of the items were damaged. I contacted the customer services department and they were very quick to respond, and offered various solutions for me so I could continue with my DIY project quickly and without delay
Its what businesses do when things go wrong that set them apart, and Wickes stepped up

Went into Wickes at Newmarket earlier today, and Danny at the till was very decent and helpful.

The two assistants didn’t just take it that there wasn’t any of the product I wanted on the shelf …. They checked store stock and that it was correct . Sebastian then rounded trough metal cages in the warehouse until he found what I wanted . Many other assistants elsewhere should have dismissed it and not bothered . Thanks Danny & Sebastian . Visited the Newmarket store today and wanted to know about delivery. Hasan was extremely helpful. We went round showing him the products we required. He took photos of prices and advised us to do the same for checking against receipt. Nothing seemed to much trouble very friendly. Went to the till and organised delivery very quickly. Came away very pleased knowing we had had good service and delivery organised for Tuesday. Thanks again wicks and Hasan for your help.

I visited Newmarket store today and had amazing service from “Hasan”. I had little idea of what I needed in terms of sand. He was polite and extremely helpful and even took it to my car for me as I couldn’t lift it. This type of service is so very rare these days. Thank you Hasan for your help it really was appreciated. I hope your manager appreciates the service you provide customers it’s above and beyond.

Had want a new bathroom for ages and I can honestly say that from start to finish my experience was amazing . From Hugh designing it and helping me choose to the the installers ( Honey Harrison) installing it. Everything was seamless. I’ve just been back and returned unwanted and unused tiles and again seamless!!!! A great team in there I can’t praise them enough!!!! Thankyou

Went to our local Wickes to pick up a few items for some jobs around the house. The last thing to find was a 1l tin of matt black paint. Found a 1l gloss but no matt. So we asked a member of staff who, on checking the price of a 1l tin to be mixed, said I'm sure we've got some cheaper. Hasant found a Wickes matt black paint, 2.5l for cheaper than a 1l to be mixed - fantastic! Cheerful, very helpful, staff like him encourage shoppers to return!

Very keen to give as an early installation date before we paid. Once we paid, the date was pushed back, pushed back and pushed back again. No one at customer service helps. Would not do again- terrible service.

Nick from Newmarket Wickes was exceptionally helpful with our solar panel consultation and quotation. Very happy.
