I visited Newmarket store today and had amazing service from “Hasan”. I had little idea of what I needed in terms of sand. He was polite and extremely helpful and even took it to my car for me as I couldn’t lift it. This type of service is so very rare these days. Thank you Hasan for your help it really was appreciated. I hope your manager appreciates the service you provide customers it’s above and beyond.

Had want a new bathroom for ages and I can honestly say that from start to finish my experience was amazing . From Hugh designing it and helping me choose to the the installers ( Honey Harrison) installing it. Everything was seamless. I’ve just been back and returned unwanted and unused tiles and again seamless!!!! A great team in there I can’t praise them enough!!!! Thankyou

Visited wickes today to get a fuse and hasant was fast to point me in the correct direction. Once we had found the right rating he went above and beyond to explain the precautions needed for safe installation, overall a 10/10 experience.

Went to our local Wickes to pick up a few items for some jobs around the house. The last thing to find was a 1l tin of matt black paint. Found a 1l gloss but no matt. So we asked a member of staff who, on checking the price of a 1l tin to be mixed, said I'm sure we've got some cheaper. Hasant found a Wickes matt black paint, 2.5l for cheaper than a 1l to be mixed - fantastic! Cheerful, very helpful, staff like him encourage shoppers to return!

Very keen to give as an early installation date before we paid. Once we paid, the date was pushed back, pushed back and pushed back again. No one at customer service helps. Would not do again- terrible service.

Nick from Newmarket Wickes was exceptionally helpful with our solar panel consultation and quotation. Very happy.

I have just had a new kitchen installed by
Steve Colbrook of Yaxley Kitchen Installation Ltd. and with my design contact at Wickes Newmarket, Billie Hammond. Steve was excellent. Thorough and with a great attention to detail. Billie was creative, responsive, thorough and kind. There were a few supply issues ( a missing cupboard door or two) but they were resolved swiftly and professionally. I'm very pleased with my kitchen and the process from start to finish was very good

I’m currently renovating my kitchen and, after visiting three other major kitchen retailers, I honestly thought they were all much the same — until I met Nick at the Newmarket branch of Wickes.

What an incredible experience.

My appointment was meant to last an hour, but Nick gave me so much of his time, patience and expertise without ever making me feel rushed. He went above and beyond to help me create the perfect kitchen, thinking of details I would never even have considered myself.

He cleverly maximised every inch of space without leaving awkward gaps or fillers, and even suggested using a slightly curved unit near the window to bring more light into the room — such a thoughtful idea. He also spent ages checking appliance specifications on Bosch, Neff and Miele websites to make sure everything would work perfectly together.

I have genuinely never experienced customer service like it. Nick is incredibly knowledgeable, talented, patient and kind, and he made what felt like a stressful renovation become exciting and enjoyable.

An absolute credit to Wickes — I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Nick from the bathroom team, Lucas and Pedro the bathroom fitters were amazing.

Nick listens to my requirements and gave us great advice. He came up with a bathroom design that meet all our needs. Nick's customer service skills were excellent, super responsive.
The bathroom was fitted by Lucas and Pedro were friendly, knowledgeable and did an amazing job. The bathroom looks amazing 4 months since the instal and we have had no problems.

We recently visited Wickes in Newmarket to get a quote for a bathroom refurbishment, and Nick assisted us throughout the process. He was always punctual, friendly, and very professional. He came to our home to take measurements and later met with us again to go through the proposal in detail.

Although we decided not to proceed due to personal considerations, we really appreciated Nick’s approach—he was accessible, helpful, and even took the time to make us feel comfortable during our visits.

At Wickes in Newmarket, where we went to plan our kitchen, we were served by Nick. I must recommend Nick, he is a man of his word, he accommodated us with everything, answered our questions, even after we contacted him a few days later. I look forward to our further cooperation.

Lucy an instore colleague was beyond helpful; both on the phone before our visit and during our presence in store.

Lucy helped confirm stock of an item. She arranged for it to come to the till point for our collection owing to the weight of the item and being close to the closing point.

Lucy also helped with the issue we were/are experiencing with our trade pro account. Despite this perhaps taking longer than the average transaction.

Her approach and friendliness was tangible and of excellent customer service and satisfaction.

Delighted I found Mark to assist me with my shopping. Unfortunately the store didn’t have exactly what I was looking for, but Mark helped me choose a suitable equivalent, and showed me to the other items I needed. It’s been a long time since I’ve had such a positive and genuine interaction with someone in a retail environment, although I could have done without my drill bit letting me down in the middle of a line of fencing, it made my day to replace it alongside some of Mark’s customer service.
I bought some drill bits, some screws,
and a club hammer, and got some fortune too.
