Abi explained all the options and details very well. Abi was very patient and helpful when we wanted to make changes. She worked to our budget and was very professional when coming out to measure up for us. Abi understood what we were trying to achieve and made helpful suggestions. Would highly recommend.

Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with- Do not expect any customer service if there is an issue.

Ordered a kitchen from them instore, when they delivered they missed items (not great but it happens). As we had kitchen fitters coming 2 days later they said they’d send the missing part next day. It didn’t arrive and this is where it became horrendous dealing with them.

Instore team said it was sent next day, but to contact customer services, we did they said it wasn’t sent next day as the ‘are unable to do that’. Instore team then showed us the emails from customer services where they told them it was next day (they even forwarded me the email trail!). In store team said that customer services are dreadful and often treat them horribly and suggest we raise a complaint through customer relations. Customer relations tell us we have to raise with customer services.

We get fed up and raise a complaint through their website form. This goes to customer services who tell us to contact customer relations.

Basically they want you to give up.

Plus I’ve got copies of emails between the instore team and customer services (which they should never have sent me) and the way the customer support team talk to the in store team was horrendous.

We never got the item, we lost a few hundred pounds in fitters fees as they had to come back an extra day due to the missing item not arriving (which they sourced from elsewhere themselves in the end)

Avoid at all costs as if something goes wrong they are 0 help and their system is design to make you give up.

Shane at Wickes, Stowmarket, was incredibly helpful. Have used this store in the past and will definitely use again.

Met with Crispen for our new kitchen, he came out to measure, we then had two meetings to sort our design, he was very helpful and informative. No hesitation at all in recommending him.

Went into Wickes Stowmarket today to have some paint mixed. Very helpful lady advised this color knotted twine was available off the shelf. When this wasn't available in their store she arranged for click and collect at another store. She could have just mixed it , but instead was really helpful which saved me money. Great service

I’ve had 2 design consultations with Abi at Stowmarket now and each time she’s been excellent in explaining my options and very patient with my indecision! I’ve come away with a clear itemised quote and Abi will get in touch, or I’ll contact her - so not pushy, just an efficient and pleasurable experience. Thank you

Great service from Tom at the Stowmarket branch, helping us update our bathroom. No pushy sales tactics, just honest advice and tips on making the most of what is on offer.

We were looking into replacing our kitchen. We looked at both the lifestyle range and bespoke. We were greeted by Crispin who was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to answer our questions. We then made an appointment for him to draw up a plan and show us what everything would look like once fitted including a change of colour. Crispin then came out and checked all measurements and put together the final plan including some changes we had asked for. Nothing was too much trouble and his customer service is excellent. We have no hesitation in recommending Crispin and his team.

I had a kitchen fitted, my dish washer door won't open properly because the door wasnt fitted properly, cupboard doors won't close properly, plinths have bowed because they were cut incorrectly, upstands were cut too short and have come away from the wall as not enough adhesive, work top has dropped as it was incorrectly fitted and even the door handles have been put in the wrong place, fitter couldnt fit drawers to a new unit as the wood was too large for the brackets and iv not been sent any replacements. I raised a complaint with Wickes to fix the problems and they have refused. Avoid using Wickes go for a different company!

Shane was very helpful. I nearly left the store without purchasing what I needed but Shane approached me and asked if he could help, and subsequently I bought what he suggested. Very knowledgable and friendly man. Thank you Shane.

Visited Wickes at Stowmarket to purchase some gravel and was helped by a lovely lady who could not have been more helpful. If I was 40 years younger I would have asked this blond pony tailed lady for a date. Well done and thank you.

Louise at Stowmarket (now Thetford) designed a great kitchen which suited our needs. Louise was patient and helpful throughout the design process. We were kept updated regularly by email and text with delivery details, and contacted directly by the kitchen fitter. The quality of the kitchen is excellent and the finish has exceeded our expectations. We had one minor hiccup when the fridge that was ordered was found to be out of stock, but a higher spec fridge was found and delivered at no extra cost. Colin the installer worked like a trouper and was happy to make adjustments during the installation. Communication throughout the process has been excellent - something that is often lacking and leads to a poor customer experience. We will be very happy to recommend Wickes and tradesmen used. Thank you.

Shop staff were good and also the fitters, but after having an issue with some lights flickering which was reported within guarantee time Wickes have refused to honour this guarantee. The customer service staff are not helpful at all.

ORDER NUMBER 505034-8493-V COMPLAINT REGARDING POOR WORKMANSHIP AND FAULTY GOODS WITH REGARDS TO BATHROOM INSTALLATION.

We originally placed a bathroom order for installation at our property on 18 may 2024 having paid upfront almost £7000. It wasn't until the end of July 2024 when the fitter was allocated to our job despite me trying to get Wicks to get a fitter allocated by phone and email. The fitter allocated started by rejecting most of the items delivered as being faulty on receipt including the bath, toilet, shower tray and vanity doors. the fitter arranged for these to be re-ordered and re-delivered meaning I had to take time off work for the delivery. these items were also rejected as faulty and again re-ordered, I took time off again to be there for the delivery. we never got a toilet that wasn't faulty, instead having to source one from B&Q. The drivers on 2 occasions were rude and obnoxious, and not a credit to Wicks!

We had 15 boxes of tiles delivered, all with different batch numbers and had to go back as there were tolerance issues being from different batches. The Stowmarket store advised me to bring them back in my car, over a ton of large tiles, was never going to happen. the fitter took time out and went to the store for us in his van to get the replacements.

As for the fitter (I shall keep his name out of this to save his blushes) he was way out of his depth and took many short cuts, didn't follow the plans and the tiling was shocking. the work was so bad that I had to get the Stowmarket store manager ( I shall refer to him as Mr C B) out to view the work which he reluctantly did, his attitude was not what I was expecting of a manager, he was I felt inept, lacked empathy and people skills, he made my blood boil. It was agreed that the fitter would be given a chance to rectify his poor workmanship, 2 hours later he managed to break a tile into the fitted bath chipping it and decided to walk from the job!

Wicks finally allocated a different fitter "Tony" who viewed our "Dream Bathroom" and basically told Wicks that it all needed to be stripped out and started again from scratch as it was so poor. This was agreed by Wicks and a week later taking 2 weeks from start to finish gave us the bathroom we should have had in the beginning. also bare in mind the previous fitter took almost 4 weeks to get to the point of leaving the job and he wasn't close to finishing!

Basically, we were without a functioning bathroom for almost 2 months. the anger and stress that has been caused on so many fronts over this job is upsetting. The hippo bag on our lawn for 2 months will need months to recover and will probably need to be re-turfed at least. Stowmarkets store staff or awful to deal with, Customer services and their complaints procedure are also shocking. We penned a lengthy letter with regards to what we felt would be adequate compensation for all the upheaval, stress, time off work, lack of bathroom for weeks, damage to the lawn, the list goes on, to which they have basically said tough, suck it up! We are now considering a legal action and will be taking advise to this effect to see where we stand.

As for Wicks, you need to take a long hard look at what you offer and how you deliver, you need to vet your fitters better and your staff need to take a course on how to treat your paying public. I will NOT put another penny in the pockets of Wicks, if I need a packet of Screws I would soon drive to Bury St Edmunds and buy it.

We have ordered our new kitchen in the Stowmarket branch of Wickes and was lucky enough to have Louise as our kitchen designer. She came round with samples and measured up and had a chat with me about what I hoped for. I returned to the branch a couple of weeks later to see the design and ……. WOW, she is a mind reader…. I bought in a very poor scribbled idea of my dream and it was exactly the same. She said it had never happened before. Her design is perfect, we didn’t need to change anything. Louise is talented and talked me through everything. Just waiting for my new kitchen to be fitted. Can’t wait! Thank you Louise, you’re a credit to the store
