Wickes - Swindon Reviews 

As someone who was given a list of items to be purchased from Wickes, and as I had never been into the store previously with minimal experience in DIY, I had to ask for assistance from Tony, who was so patient and helpful, and guided me on where and which items to purchase. After my initial visit, I’ve popped into the store on several other occasions, and all staff there have been friendly and helpful during my visits.

I visited Wickes Swindon yesterday.. Emma was extremely helpful ensuring I had plenty options. I ended up purchasing a lot more paint which my customer has approved.

From the moment we started until over 2 hours later the designer made me feel listened to we worked together. Very positive and constructive suggestions by designer as we brought together my thoughts on what I wanted and her knowledge on recent up to date experiences. All this came together in e excellent 3-D images.

The one week interval before the second appointment allowed me to consider the initial design. In the second visit we fed in my changes, the designer adapted the layout and two hours later I was happy to sign up to a terrific interest free credit agreement and stipulate; date for check measurement and delivery with option for Wickes to install.
Immensely impressed.

Ordered some kitchen units 9 weeks ago, first delivery we had half of the stuff was damaged and key items missing from order, second delivery attempt wasn’t even close to what we ordered. they decided they could only collect some of the items when we decided we wanted a refund as they could not fulfill the order even after seven weeks! ( it was 4 units and a couple of panels!!) We are now in a position where we have none of the items we ordered and we haven’t had any of the money refunded. Absolutely awful customer service always getting a different answer every time you call. Family of four without a kitchen sink ect because of Wickes complete and utter incompetence.

I attended the store on the 21.2.2026 looking for some wood i was unsure what I was looking for when I found one of your staff called Tony he was extremely helpful very professional once I explained what I needed he helped me choose the wood i needed for my project thank you for a plesent experience

From the initial visit to the store and the visit from Millie and then back to review the plans was exceptional.
Millie was very patient with us and understood that such a large purchase could not be rushed
Her professional attitude was spot on along with her customer service

Wickes were excellent taking the time to plan our small bathroom, listening to our thoughts and coming up with ideas that we wouldn’t of thought about.

James the kitchen designer was great. From initial meeting right through to after when we needed some help with extra stuff.
You can tell he has experience being an ex tradesman too, as he understood behind the scenes bits with waste pipes for example for us to discuss and have moved with the tradesmen and was able to advise accordingly. He let me carry on when I wanted something that was in my vision and also challenged when there was a better solution. Looking at the end result my family is chuffed with our new home. Just need to enjoy it now.
Quality of the furniture and fittings are excellent. I did have a brief look at b&q who’s quality wasn’t the same and other well known kitchen places had staff that I’m not sure have ever used a kitchen.
We did a full home renovation we had two bathrooms and a kitchen from wickes getting the mid range stuff which suited our budget and quality expectations.
Through the project we have used wickes for our paint and regular supplies too. We still have the downstairs wc and garden to do but will get what we can from wickes. Thanks James & friendly wickes team I have met along the way.

We had the best customer service from Tony, he couldn't have been more helpful. Very impressed with the standard of service we received. Also, thanks to the lovely lady who served us at the till, another example of great customer service. Well done Wickes!

Really great experience with Red Dragon home improvements. The team were prompt, tidy and standard of work was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend them. Very good communication and our kitchen worked tirelessly to get the job done.

Popped in to help my daughter get some flooring and my trade account didnt seem to be working, a member of staff, Liv, went above and beyond to rectify this for us and helped us out loads, really kind of her!

Popped into Wickes Swindon to get an extension lead, after searching what I thought was all round the store looking for one, i asked a very young girl, Charlotte, at the help desk/tills if they stocked them.

She, without any hesitation, gave me clear instructions where they would be found, ( clearly I hadn't looked in that aisle.) When paying, she was kind and curtious, asking me if I had found them OK. Very pleasant young lady, thank you Charlotte, keep up the good work .
