Just utterly awful from start to finish. Wrong measurements, incorrect costs (we paid an extra £2000!!) wrong products and wrong colour! Our designer was useless. Maybe it was her first ever design but she basically got everything wrong, lied and denied responsibility for any of her mistakes. She specified a shower screen that a committed bulimic could not fit through, an electric mirror that could not be turned on or off, and finally she got the colour wrong entirely. I spent most of the time traipsing back and forth to Wickes returning useless items, then having to source these for myself from other suppliers! Seriously, don’t waste your time effort or money. As for the customer services department, well they just beggar belief. I have never in 60 years dealt with such rude, incompetent uncaring unapologetic ne’er-do-wells in my life. Frankly If I haven’t mentioned it before, don’t waste your time and money. They could not even get the colour right, then when confronted with absolute evidence that they had got it wrong they just lied and tricked me into signing the thing off. Frankly If I haven’t mentioned it before, don’t waste your time and money. Furthermore, on our quote, extras were mentioned at £80. The bill was subsequently £2000 not to mention the time and effort I had to put into return there wrongly specified products. To add insult to injury I discovered that the fitters don’t get paid the fitting fee, in our case around £5000, they actually get less than half that; the vultures at Wickes simply pocket that money for their greedy selves. The whole experience has left us battered, ignored and seriously out of pocket. JUST TO BE CLEAR- DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY. Take my advice go to the professionals themselves. You will pay about half what Wickes will charge you and end up with a proper job. AVOID AT ALL COSTS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

On my follow up visit to the store, Kate was attending to other customers but deftly found time to enable me to complete my order. I have no negative comments to offer - and delivery has been arranged to occur within the week.

Don’t use

Installer messed up all the tiles in my kitchen, someone from remedial team came back months later and only corrected a few tiles . Didn't prepare the wall atall just stuck so much adhesive on the wall/tile that they now stick out further than they should and the blind I had in the window can no longer be pulled up and down, but it did before so now I have to have another made to measure blind made as the previous blind was and this was only fitted in October 2025. Wickes make every excuse they can, blame the tiles, blame the wall, blame me but don't accept that some of their installers are no more than odd jobbers. You're a bunch of shysters Wickes, your customer service is an absolute disgrace. Dealt with a deliberatey awkward person who was not helpful at all. He mentioned something about compensation in view of the problems Wickes have caused me but seems to have forgotten this. I doubt is your so called "guarantee" is worth the paper it's written on. I had to pay someone to fit a duct on my extraction hood as your installer didn't complete this work. I don't know how people like you sleep at night considering the misery you cause people and then try and get out of correcting bodge jobs. You should read some of the poor reviews you get on social media and in the media.

Kate from Taunton was a wonderful designer and very patient . I changed my mind on previous decisions I had made for the kitchen and it was no trouble for her to make the alterations. She was very helpful and knowledgeable whilst guiding me through the process. I am so pleased with the design of the kitchen Kate created. I would 100% recommend her.

We had a bathroom fitted. The builder was brilliant despite the issues from Wickes.
Items didn't turn up on time, some items were not as ordered. The designer left out important items such as underlay and adhesives. Complete disinterest from the design staff in Taunton when I went to report this. No 'can do' attitude at all. Brushed me off.
We ended up having to buy wall panels from another supplier and the disruption went on longer than it should have.
Customer services were of little help, unable to join the dots or communicate. One person was very helpful. I spoke to three by phone
This has been a dreadful experience. Not even an apology from the designer who made a string of mistakes and didn't do any due diligence to ensure a seamless experience. Took the payment and disappeared.

AVOID-AVOID-AVOID - They are utterly useless, their customer services will lie to your face and they will not accept responsibility. We ordered a bathroom from them about a year ago, we have just had a professional look at the job, the tiling is unsafe (dot & Dab) against BS5385 it is not securely fixed to the wall, the electrics are questionable, to dangerous and the overall workmanship to a lay man (me) looks OK when a professional views it and condems it as dangerous for my 94 year old father - you begin to think court

To start with, I am so happy with how our kitchen looks now. Kate the Design Consultant really designed a beautiful show-stopping kitchen for us and it's become the star room in our house! Thanks for your design eye, Kate! If I was doing the rating just based on Kate's design it would be 5/5!
We initially went with the Wickes kitchen installation service and that was when things went downhill. They tried to quote us more than half the amount of the total materials (including new appliances) just for installation and said it would take almost one month to complete! When I phoned the contractor to query the price they put pressure on me to approve or 'lose my slot'.
In the end, I pulled out of using Wickes installers and had the kitchen installed in one week for a quarter of the quotes price by a contractor not affiliated with Wickes. Kate was very helpful when it came to changing the details of our agreement and getting all that sorted as were the Wickes Customer Service team members who I spoke to - who always treated me very fairly and with respect.
I wouldn't hesitate to use Wickes again for their products, but I would always find my own contractor for installation going forward.

We recently visited Wickes to look at Kitchens and we were introduced to Kate. She was lovely and we booked a home visit for a few days later.
Kate arrived on time and was really friendly and very helpful. She really listened to what we wanted . When we went in to see the plan Kate had chosen the exact units and worktops that we wanted and gave us a really good idea how our kitchen would look.
We had to do a few tweaks but that was because we had made a few alterations to our kitchen and required some extra units. This was no problem for Kate she was happy to help.
I would highly recommend Kate to design your kitchen. She goes the extra mile for you and has some great ideas.
I am really looking forward to having my new kitchen fitted and fingers crossed the rest of the process is just as good.

Questioned things that we thought we wanted to ensure they were right for us, which we soon discovered were not, she knows her stuff. We discussed a budget from the beginning, and Kate led us in the right direction to ensure we got the most for our budget. Wouldn't hesitate recommending her to anyone in the future.

Kate Elliott, Design consultant in the Taunton branch was very helpful from the outset and is the principal reason for us deciding to go with Wickes. Kate's flair for design was impressive and she took a lot of trouble to help us select a great combination of units, worktops and tiles. Kate was also very responsive when it came to sorting delivery problems - not Wickes's greatest moment, when the driver simply refused to unload the units on 19th June, because it meant carrying them across a quiet residential road, that he could simply have blocked for a few minutes as he unloaded.

Our experience of Wickes Taunton has been awful. One of their kitchen designers came to measure our kitchen, but got the measurements wrong so the units ordered were incorrect. She added £2.5k of electric door motors to the order, which we discovered were not needed when the kitchen was assembled as the door mechanisms are hydraulic and were included in the cost of the units. She failed to order work surfaces and splashbacks, despite them being listed on the order. Her explanation was that 'the computer sometimes takes things off the order'. The delivery address was wrong as was the email address she wrote down and no matter how many times we tried to correct this with her, she was unable to get it right. We only received the kitchen because the delivery men phoned as they could not get an answer at the address they had been given, so at least she managed to get our phone number down correctly.
We returned the electric motors to her in store and she told us she would refund them from our credit agreement, but we have no proof of this as we cannot establish our identity with the credit company as our email and home address were wrongly entered by the kitchen designer. To date, we have never received a copy of the credit agreement. She collected a kitchen unit that was the wrong size from our house at 7.30 one evening, again promising to refund / reorder, but to date we have no idea if she has done either. She tells us that a replacement unit has been delivered but the delivery address is still wrong and the people at that address (a few doors away) have definitely never taken delivery of it. We have emailed and phoned the store as well as tried to see both the kitchen designer and the Manager repeatedly since February, when the kitchen, with incorrect and missing items was delivered. The Manager has never responded and the kitchen designer says there's nothing she can do. We have tried Wickes customer service, who tried to deal with the store but also had no response. Their final email stated that as it was a store problem we would have to resolve it with the store as they could do nothing more. We have been left with an incomplete kitchen because their designer measured and ordered incorrectly. We have returned over £2.5k of electric motors which were not needed, but charged for within the credit agreement and have no confirmation that they have been refunded and our agreement adjusted accordingly. We cannot check the agreement as the store is unable to provide an account number and our details are wrong with the finance company, because the kitchen designer failed to correct them, so we have never received any documentation nor can we access our account because we cannot verify who we are in the security checks. We have also spent a further £1700 buying splashbacks and work surfaces to make the kitchen functional. 3 months on and we are no closer to resolving any of these issues. The biggest worry is that we may well have a vastly inflated credit agreement as it has not been adjusted to reflect returned items. We've also spent a further 1/3 of the cost of the kitchen buying work surfaces and splashbacks to get it as finished as possible. There is still a missing unit, but that pales into insignificance by comparison with the thought of being bound by a credit agreement we cannot see, so have no idea how much we owe. Avoid Wickes Taunton's kitchen design service - the designer can't measure for toffee despite spending over 2 hours in our kitchen and another 2 in store ordering units 'as per her design'. And if something goes wrong, the store manager clearly doesn't care and neither does Wickes customer service.
