Wickes - Truro Reviews 

Worked with Heather Rodgers from the design team. Very cheerful and helpful lady who waited patiently for us to get the project going to a health issue delay. We had a complete kitchen overhaul which started with Heather visiting and doing all the relevant measurements and suggesting various options and gently steering away from any impractical ideas that we had. She has stayed in contact throughout the project and also with the fitter. A couple of minor issues after installation were dealt with quickly by Heather.
Overall the installation of the kitchen went smoothly and the fitter selected by Wickes, Mike Richards, was efficient and hardworking

When I was looking for a new kitchen, I really wasn't sure what I wanted except that I didn't want or need loads of ultra modern gadgets. Heather Rodgers was the lady I approached and she arranged to come to my property to survey and take measurements. I went back the following weekend and Heather had planned a perfect kitchen to suit my needs. I'd already picked the units I loved and she put them all into the most attractive and practical positions to make the most of my relatively modest sized room. She spent as much time as I needed and ensured I was 100% happy, with no pressure for me to move on at all and I even got a cup of tea! A kitchen installer, who did a site survey, then arranged the dates for fitting and the delivery date was set for 1st of October. The units all arrived a few days before and were carefully placed, checked and ticked off by the guys who delivered them. The whole experience from start to finish was smooth, with no hiccups whatsoever. If I'd have had to arrange everything myself I don't think I would have ended up bothering, but Heather took all of the stressful bits and sorted the lot, leaving me to just sit back, watch the progress and beam at the finished result. Oh and a shout out for Tony Carlton, the lovely carpenter who fitted it all and tiled my floor and arranged by Heather. Super- reliable, quiet, very tidy, trustworthy and just a lovely person to have around.
If I was looking for another kitchen or a bathroom, Heather at Wickes, Truro, would be my first choice to plan and arrange everything for me.

We went into Wickes today hoping to find a new kitchen, from the minute I walked through the door I knew this was where I wanted to spend my money. A beautiful range of kitchens on display and I was greeted by a lovely gentleman called Jason. Jason definitely knew what he was talking about when it comes to what people want in a kitchen. I was also lucky enough to meet the manager Lee, who made us feel very welcome.
A well presented store with great customer service, well done Wickes Truro you can have my money.

We went to design a kitchen for a refurbishment project we are currently going through. Leon was incredibly helpful and had great suggestions, he was also really patient with us looking at different options. We would highly recommend for anyone looking at a kitchen project.

Due to the exceptional service I received, I felt compelled to write this review. As a self-confessed control freak, letting someone else help plan something as significant as a kitchen was a real challenge for me. However, attempting it on my own wasn’t the best idea—enter Leon Keung.

Leon is one of the most professional, calm, and considerate individuals I’ve had the pleasure of doing business with. From start to finish, he was absolutely brilliant. During the home visit, he meticulously measured the kitchen (thankfully double-checking my own efforts!), and during the store visits, he was incredibly patient as we explored every detail to get a clear sense of what we wanted.

We handed him a Pinterest image of our dream kitchen, and Leon delivered a design that was spot on. Every inch of the kitchen reflected exactly what we envisioned. He not only listened intuitively but also suggested additions we hadn’t considered—each one an improvement that enhanced the final design.

Admittedly, letting someone else take the reins to help create our dream kitchen was the best decision I could have made. For context, I had previously dealt with Magnet, which was a waste of time due to their ludicrous prices, poor customer service, and subpar quality. I also considered IKEA, which is great for some things, but their design limitations—such as white drawers in an all-dark kitchen—didn’t suit our needs.

Thanks to the January sale, this kitchen ended up being cheaper than IKEA while offering far better quality than Magnet. What more could you ask for?

Coming back to Leon and his incredible service—nothing was ever too much trouble. He always made time to address my questions and concerns, ensuring I felt confident every step of the way.

I honestly couldn’t recommend Leon highly enough. If you’re looking for someone to help you design your dream kitchen, he’s your guy!

Danny, the designer, visited our home to discuss the new kitchen we envisioned. He truly helped us visualise what our dream kitchen could look like, and after designing it, he turned that vision into a reality.… absolutely amazing thank you Danny

Pleasant and efficient to deal with. The design consultant was helpful and did not pressurise us into making our own decision. Would highly recommend to anyone else. We feel we have got great deal for the items we purchased

The thought of having to replace my old, tired kitchen, filled me with dread! Then I was introduced to Leon who immediately put me at ease. He arranged a visit to my home on the Tuesday and by the Thursday he had a 3D design ready for my approval. He was patient with me when I could not decide on the colour, he showed me accessories on the shop floor that he had included in the 3D plan, nothing was too much trouble.
Thank you Leon for all your help and for taking the stress out of a process I had been dreading.

Having shopped around with other retailers we had a good idea what we wanted. Leon visited our house and we discussed at length what we wanted. A couple of days later we visited the store and went through his designs. Reviewed and changed a few this and there it was...... our new kitchen! ( and in 3D!)

Highly rate the staff in general, always friendly and polite. Recently had our new kitchen designed by Heather which was first rate. Heather ensured the process from ordering to delivery was taken care of and was extremely helpful in sorting out a few issues which arose.

We ordered our kitchen in the Truro store with Nichola, who came to our house to measure up, it took me ages to chose my design and the design consultant was really patient and helpful, two weekends later (nearly took up residence in store) I had chosen my design. I then waited for Danny Trengove to install my kitchen, there is a reason he is so busy because boy was he worth the wait! He totally transformed our whole kitchen plus the floors in our dining room and hall in just two weeks. Our job wasn’t straight forward and he worked so hard, leaving the ‘site’ aka my kitchen/dining room tidy each evening. He’s quick to get back to you and resolved a problem i had with my dishwasher due to dodgy instructions in the user manuel within hours of me contacting him. So so pleased with the workmanship put into my project and totally recommend Danny as an installer

We are so pleased with our kitchen, thank you. From our initial design appointment with Nicola to installation was seamless. Nicola was so helpful when it came to us making decisions, we really appreciated her input in design, colours, layout etc. thank you Nicola. We would also like to say a special thank you to our installer, Danny, who went above and beyond to give us the kitchen we wanted. Our house threw up a few issues...an unlevel floor for starters, now perfectly flat and smooth, damp walls which were replaced and replastered, and one of our walls was 18mm out at the top (apparently one of the worst he'd seen!)...but Danny overcame every challenge our old house chucked at him and gave us real confidence in his work. He gave us lots of hints and tips on decorating, tiling etc. and at the end of every day, everything was left clean and tidy. He was meticulous in his work and you could clearly tell how much pride he took in it as well. So anyone having a kitchen fitted in Cornwall, I sincerely hope you have Danny Trengove as your fitter, you won't be disappointed, thanks Danny :)

Leon Keung, Designed our Kitchen, exactly to our requirements, also made a few design suggestions, such as Matt flooring, under unit Led lights, and other items, He was very professional taking us through the whole order. I would recommend him to other people.

SO pleased with our kitchen! Leon came to look at our space which needed a big redesign. We had some ideas which Leon took into careful consideration but also presented new ideas we had not considered, which have been a wonderful addition to our now complete kitchen. Leon was really patient throughout the whole process, taking time for us to look at every detail. Couldn't recommend more!

Kitchen floor rose up. Assessed by area manager as due to not enough gaps left. Took 8 months to get another fitter who ripped it all up left it in our garden then blamed the concrete underneath. If that was a problem the original fitter should have assessed and charged for whatever prep work and bonding needed to happen. We are left with a concrete floor and a pile of rubbish in the garden. All base units need to be taken out.

Very happy with the service you provided with very polite helpful staff , and lovely kitchens to choose from , I will definitely recommend Leon the designer to my friends and family what a charming young man who knows his design’s and is very good at his job thank you

Leon was very helpful and knowledgeable in designing our kitchen . Nothing seemed to be any trouble even when we changed the design a few times 😬 great experience with Wicks . We did go to a few other kitchen suppliers but didn't feel as confident in them as we did with wicks! Roll on October when the kitchen will be installed!

Absolutely awful customer service. Ordered a bath which turned up cracked and without the fixtures. Spent most of the day trying to get it sorted. After waiting ages to speak to someone we were told someone would call us back. We then had to phone back again 2 hours later. First time they couldn’t even find our account so we had to phone back again. We were told the earliest they could delivery another bath was over 2 weeks later! We were paying a fitter on a daily rate and the bathroom was already ripped out. No care or empathy towards our predicament. The lady was more concerned that she was busy and needed to have her break. We had to order from somewhere else in the end. Even getting a refund was a joke! I would never order from Wickes again.

Leon was incredibly helpful designing our kitchen and made the experience effortless and very pleasant. We would highly recommend him and the whole team at Wickes!
