Helpful service
Although he could not completely resolve my issue, I found Ashton in the York store very helpful and polite. He went the extra mile to find as best a resolution as possible which I appreciated I was very happy with the outcome and service shown.

Our experience with our designer, Chris Fryer of the Wickes York Store was exemplary. He clearly understood our ideas, offered his own ideas for improvement and came up with a design that we really liked. Chris was very clear and thorough, and a quote was immediately produced from the design. A better experience with Wickes then with some other suppliers. Thank you Chris. 21

David my diy hero
I went in with a idea of fitting my own hanging rails spoke to the loveliest chap called david who directed me to all the right places he assisted me in choosing everything from the rails and fitments to the correct size screws and raw plugs got me the correct handsaw to shorted for mention rails and the correct drill bit he then took everything to the till for me and rang it all through he gave me so much invaluable tips what a great service he has given me the confidence to attempt doing even more of my own day. Thankyou david I will be back

Better experience than usual
I really needed some M4 35mm bolts to fit a TV to some new legs for a relative, of course that size is unavailable anywhere so snap-off screws should work (I hope). Could I find them? Er, no. Alex to the rescue, I'd never have thought of looking on the doorknobs and door furniture display. Thanks Alex! I've been in before for a specific item, in theory in stock, and walked away empty handed, but not this time.

Do not use these people. Absolute comedians. You pay for a bathroom up front including a delivery fee. They then tell you to take a day off work so they can deliver when they want. Really? Who is the customer here. Avoid at all costs. I was warned about Wickes, I wish I’d listened

Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service during the recent purchase of a new kitchen. Store manager Mike initially saw us looking at the extensive in store kitchen display and chatted briefly about our project before introducing us to kitchen designer Chris. Chris has guided us through our evolving ideas with patience even when our “must have” list completely changed and required him to take time to rework the plan. At no point were we given a hard sell or felt pressurised into adding things that do not work for us and we are now delighted with the finalised plan and confident that the Wickes installation service will result in the kitchen of our dreams!
