Very poor & unprofessional people
Very poor service. Phone call from the driver saying they’d be there in 20 minutes. Within the next 2 minutes they were there but just rang the doorbell and disappeared. Bags of soil and sand dumped on the pavement, open torn. Of course they KNEW this. Very unpleasant experience. Worse then Evri to be precise. What a lazy team and unprofessional!

An excellent service. Delivered with care. They were on time, unwrapped and removed packaging and the delivery team were polite, friendly and efficient.

Worse delivery company ever. Lazy delivery drivers. Left my delivery on an open car park rather than wait two minutes so I could unlock gates so the delivery would be delivered safely to the address I paid the delivery for. What sort of company just dumps the delivery and drives off leaving it completely unattended?? Zero customer courtesy or respect. As customers if we didn't pay for deliveries the drivers would have no job they need to remember that.and show their customers more respect. Its a shame Wickes uses then as it damages their reputation. Certainly would never use them again.

Repeatedly Poor Service – Not Fit for Purpose
I’ve now had two separate deliveries handled by Wincanton, and both were completely unacceptable.
On the most recent delivery, I paid for an “assisted lift” service and made it clear multiple times in advance that the item would need to be taken up stairs. Despite this, the delivery team arrived and flat-out refused to bring it upstairs.
The item was left, and I had to arrange my own help to unpack and move it. This defeats the entire point of paying for a delivery service.
This follows a previous delivery where items were simply left on the kerb. So this is not a one-off issue — it’s a consistent pattern of poor service, lack of professionalism, and unwillingness to do the job properly.
For a company trusted to deliver high-value furniture, this standard is nowhere near acceptable. Based on my experience, I would strongly question whether they are fit to handle premium deliveries at all

Not had a delivery from Wincanton before but service was excellent. Delivered a lounge chair, carefully got in house, offered to put it where I wanted in living room then unwrapped and took away all packaging. 👍😀

I had an excellent experience with this furniture delivery team. They were professional, punctual, and incredibly hardworking from start to finish. What really stood out was their effort and positive attitude when faced with a challenging situation , the lift in my building wasn’t working, yet they carefully carried all the heavy furniture up to the second floor without any complaints.
They handled each item with great care, ensuring everything arrived in perfect condition. Despite the physical effort involved, they remained polite, efficient, and respectful throughout. It’s not easy work, but they made it look effortless and maintained a high standard of service.
I truly appreciate their dedication and would highly recommend them to anyone needing reliable and professional furniture delivery.

My bed delivery was due last Tuesday
My bed delivery was due last Tuesday. I had made sure I was home all day and provided a time slot of 3:30-5:30pm. This was then delayed until 6:30pm which wasn’t a problem.
By 9:30pm, I had not received by delivery or an update on my delivery. I messaged wincanton with no response.
Once I had got hold of DFS the next day, they advised it was with Wincanton. Wincanton then contacted me to say they would need to arrange another delivery as they couldn’t deliver because of the weather. Not sure how a bit of rain affects a delivery?! They have then continued to treat me as though this was not a problem on their part and I would need to await an update once they had gone through booking my delivery back into the depot, then rescheduling for another delivery date. I have had to continually message Wincanton for updates and have been told I need to wait for further updates.
I have now been told that my delivery can be delivered next Wednesday. 8 days after my chosen delivery date. And they can’t specify a time slot.
Both DFS and Wincanton have shown extremely poor customer service in this situation. Not even an offer of a refunded delivery charge for the problems caused!

We recently reached out as part of our business expansion and were pleased to be contacted by a representative (AH) from Wincanton’s Glasgow depot, who expressed interest in a potential partnership and arranged a meeting.
To attend, our representative travelled approximately 3.5 hours to the depot. Upon arrival, he was left waiting for over 20 minutes, only to be met briefly at reception and informed that there was “no space,” with the discussion taking place at the entrance rather than in a professional setting.
Despite this, the meeting itself was constructive and positive, with terms discussed and mutual interest indicated. However, following the meeting, there was no follow-up communication whatsoever — not even a basic courtesy email to confirm next steps or to decline.
We fully understand that not all meetings lead to business. However, professional courtesy and basic communication should be standard practice, especially when another party has invested significant time and cost to attend.
A simple follow-up to say “thank you, but we are not proceeding at this time” would have demonstrated respect. Unfortunately, the complete lack of communication reflects a disappointing and unprofessional approach.
