I was scheduled to have a delivery on…
I was scheduled to have a delivery on 8th May. This day was requested many weeks ago. I took a day off work to ensure I would be in the house to receive my new Loaf sofa. My appointment was for 3.15pm. 3.15pm comes and goes and check the delivery is now moving back every 1 hour to 6pm. A man from the delivery team calls me to tell me he will be with me in 20 mins.. 20 minutes later two men turn up in a large van, first question he asks me is whether they can deliver it to the kerb side and if I can take it inside and assemble it. This is a huge sofa..Which I declined, as clearly this is their job . Then he speaks to the driver and suggests he has driven too many hours for the day and they cannot deliver the sofa. I am shocked as they have driven to the outside my house and refused to deliver it. They get into their van and drive off. They were extremely rude and did not explain the situation well. This is possibly the worst service I have ever received from anybody. This just beggars belief why Loaf would use this terrible company! I am extremely angry about this situation. The number left for the furniture team is meant to be open Monday - Saturday, what a surprise I cannot get through. Full complaint going to Loaf!

The delivery itself was on time…however…
The delivery itself was on time and I was kept updated about the delivery time. However, very very disappointed that they did not unpack the item (a very heavy coffee table), nor did they remove the packaging (a very large box which was heavy and very awkward to deal with). They were delivering on behalf of DFS and told us that DFS don’t tell customers that unpacking and removal of packaging aren’t part of the service. Shame on you, whoever is to blame.

Very happy with sofa delivery
Very happy with sofa delivery. They arrived on time, were friendly and efficient. Positioned the sofa correctly and removed the packaging. No damage or scuffs to either the walls or the sofa.
Furniture Delivery
The delivery team arrived early and was waiting outside my property for the allotted time they were allowed to start work. They checked where the furniture needed to go and between the 4 of them it was manoeuvred into the room without any problems. The guys were very polite and friendly and took all the packaging away with them. A great service ….😊

Very poor & unprofessional people
Very poor service. Phone call from the driver saying they’d be there in 20 minutes. Within the next 2 minutes they were there but just rang the doorbell and disappeared. Bags of soil and sand dumped on the pavement, open torn. Of course they KNEW this. Very unpleasant experience. Worse then Evri to be precise. What a lazy team and unprofessional!

Worse delivery company ever
Worse delivery company ever. Lazy delivery drivers. Left my delivery on an open car park rather than wait two minutes so I could unlock gates so the delivery would be delivered safely to the address I paid the delivery for. What sort of company just dumps the delivery and drives off leaving it completely unattended?? Zero customer courtesy or respect. As customers if we didn't pay for deliveries the drivers would have no job they need to remember that.and show their customers more respect. Its a shame Wickes uses then as it damages their reputation. Certainly would never use them again.

Repeatedly Poor Service – Not Fit for Purpose
I’ve now had two separate deliveries handled by Wincanton, and both were completely unacceptable.
On the most recent delivery, I paid for an “assisted lift” service and made it clear multiple times in advance that the item would need to be taken up stairs. Despite this, the delivery team arrived and flat-out refused to bring it upstairs.
The item was left, and I had to arrange my own help to unpack and move it. This defeats the entire point of paying for a delivery service.
This follows a previous delivery where items were simply left on the kerb. So this is not a one-off issue — it’s a consistent pattern of poor service, lack of professionalism, and unwillingness to do the job properly.
For a company trusted to deliver high-value furniture, this standard is nowhere near acceptable. Based on my experience, I would strongly question whether they are fit to handle premium deliveries at all

Not had a delivery from Wincanton before but service was excellent. Delivered a lounge chair, carefully got in house, offered to put it where I wanted in living room then unwrapped and took away all packaging. 👍😀
