Exemplary care
Sold my car to maidenhead branch yesterday (originally purchased here ). Was offered a very fair price for it by Mark Thomas. deal concluded there and then and money in my bank less than 24 hours later. Highly recommended. Also thanks to Michelle who remembered me from when I purchased. Lovely lady ❤️
A Delightful Experience at Windrush…
A Delightful Experience at Windrush Volkswagen: Neil's Professionalism Shines Through.
My recent experience at Windrush Volkswagen, where my wife and I purchased a VW T-Cross, left us thoroughly impressed and satisfied. What made our visit truly remarkable was the outstanding professionalism and warmth exhibited by Neil, one of the sales representatives.
From the moment we entered the showroom, Neil greeted us with a genuine smile and an eagerness to assist. His knowledge of the VW T-Cross was extensive, and he patiently answered all of our questions, guiding us through the features and specifications of the vehicle. Neil's professionalism was evident in his attention to detail and his ability to tailor the information to suit our needs and preferences.
Throughout the entire purchasing process, Neil remained attentive and accommodating, ensuring that every step was seamless and stress-free. He took the time to understand our requirements and helped us find the perfect T-Cross that met all of our criteria. His friendly demeanor and genuine interest in our satisfaction made the experience truly enjoyable.
Moreover, Neil's professionalism extended beyond the initial sale. He followed up with us after the purchase to ensure that we were satisfied with our new T-Cross and to address any additional queries we had. His dedication to customer service and his commitment to building lasting relationships with clients truly set him apart.
In addition to Neil's exceptional service, Windrush Volkswagen as a whole impressed us with its inviting atmosphere and impressive inventory. The dealership exudes professionalism and efficiency, making the car-buying process a breeze.
Overall, our experience at Windrush Volkswagen, facilitated by Neil's professionalism and expertise, was nothing short of delightful. We are thrilled with our new VW T-Cross and grateful for Neil's outstanding assistance throughout the entire journey. If you're in the market for a Volkswagen vehicle and seeking a dealership with exemplary service, I highly recommend Windrush Volkswagen, and specifically, Neil, for an unparalleled experience.

Worst car company do not buy from here

Stepped in to save the day and then some.. was let down for a test drive on the day by a nearby dealership.. called them and not only were they helpful I was booked in and enjoying the test drive at the planned time.
Customer service was excellent and in particular Rob Carter was amazing the test drive was a positive delight.

£180 to 'investigate' the intermittent central brake light and a further £180 to repair. In the right hands a diagnostic kit would reveal the issue in under 30 minutes and another 30 minutes maximum to replace. Shameful, VW Maidenhead!
Windrush Maidenhead
Windrush Maidenhead, do not reply to emails, sent two, one on the 13.7.23 and the second 25.7.23, three people on the emails and nothing back, not a great start.

Avoid - Should not be a main dealer
Exceptionally poor customer service. Bought a £27.5k used car (which in all fairness is very nice). We were treated like children in the showroom they didn’t really want to entertain us at all (possibly because we were buying outright and didn’t want to purchase through finance - who knows?). Car was supplied with wrong size tyre on one wheel - extremely dangerous bearing in mind we travelled 2 hours to purchase (manager stated we should never have driven on M25 as it was so dangerous). Purchased gap insurance, didn’t receive anything despite direct debit being taken. Called several
times but could never be put through - resorted to emails which were all ignored. Finally get through to original salesperson - Nicky, who was extremely unhelpful and told me I needed to sort it myself despite purchasing through her. Warning triangle missing from boot - was fed a load of old bull about this, that VW’s don’t come with one, despite our previous cars all having one. We have previously bought from VW main dealers such as Marshall’s with exceptional service - Windrush Slough behave more like a dodgy backstreet car sales. The 142 checks were obviously done by a complete imbecile. Disappointing to say the least.

Service Centre customer service
On taking my Polo for a major service and MOT at the Windrush Service centre at Maidenhead, it came to light I had made a mistake with the booking which was entirely my fault. Claire and Dave were very helpful and accommodating and resolved the issue. In my opinion this was excellent customer service which I cannot fault.
Puts you off buying a VW
This is an appalling representation of VW. The car sold had issues from day 1. Lights then lit up on the dashboard took the car back and was told that the second hand car I purchased may have been in an accident or hit a kerb and for the privilege of being told I was sold a damaged car I was charged . The car was returned to me dirty and with damage but they caused me so much stress with their complete lack of customer service and to accept that I had been sold a car that was below standard that I just left it.We as a family have had VW vehicles for the last twenty years and this is the first time I have been treated so badly that it has put me off ever buying a vw again. I have been made to feel it is all my fault and I must have done something to the car when they had sold me a vehicle that was not the quality I expected. I have spoken to trading standards and will be taking this further Please avoid windrush slough in fact get a garage to check your vw vehicles before buying as there warranty on vehicles is not worth the paper it is written on
AVOID!!
AVOID!!
Very disorganised site-poor customer service!
After numerous calls from staff regarding my booking, taking specific day off - just to receive message the day before my booking telling me i had to rebook as they cant provide me loan car - which i was contacted 3 times within 3 weeks to confirm that i need it?! Seriously.!!Very disappointed!!!
Richard Thom Very Rude Individual
It saddens me to even be writing this review and fills me with disappointment however, after spending 24k on a car things should have been correct. This is not my first VW car and I have never needed to spend my time to write a review and VW have always been my favourite car manufacturer over all the cars I have owned cars throughout my years of driving. I travelled to VW Windrush (Slough) to purchase my car and as usual I had a great experience whilst purchasing my car it is the aftersales here where my complaint lies. My car is a 21 plate and was only a few months old when making this purchase with only a couple of thousand miles on the clock. I have now owned the car 4.5 months and have drove another few thousand miles nothing excessive, I live close to work basic commuter (just so you get the drift). I booked my car in for it’s very first service last week within my service plan at a VW dealership close to my home. I received a call whilst the car was with them stating there was just a couple of things my wiper blades were no good and my tyres had a couple of months left in them. I stated to the lady I was quite shocked about my wipers given the cars age and the fact I had only had this 4.5 months. Her words “oh really well I’ll get this sorted as you’ve had the car from us” I corrected her promptly stating I had not and it was VW Windrush (Slough). She told me to give the manager a call and let them know of what has been noted from the service. Of course, I did so and was put through to a sales representative. Immediately we had crossed words as before I could even finish I was being told that the wipers were fine when the car left because his check sheet stated so and this was a consumable therefore my responsibility. I at no point stated it wasn’t a consumable but his sales technique of talking over me or at least trying to he clearly thought would get rid of me at this point. I said I had noticed immediately that they were noisier than my other cars and smearing but thought given the cars age maybe they just needed to settle in or that they were just different to my other cars. Not for a minute did I think they would be faulty as the car was so new. He stated that I should have reported this immediately but I already had had an issue with the car wallet and my new car experience I felt was being ruined by chasing for other things. Maybe this is an error on my part but everything else about the car was perfect to me! Nothing he said was making sense and he never finished a sentence only repeating “well you know” I asked “well you now what?” he said I hadn’t let him finish yet I was silent and he still never finished what he was going to say. I stated to him that when I left their showroom my manual wallet was missing to which I too was told was within the car when it wasn’t and eventually although not an easy task to get sorted as I am a silly customer who knows nothing about looking inside a car to find a manual wallet! However, a new one was eventually ordered for me and I appreciated this. Whilst I had him on the phone I also stated that my locking wheel nut was missing from the car again straightaway this was within the car as his checklist again said so. He asked why now was I mentioning this. I said because it had been requested as my car went in for it’s service and I realised one wasn’t there and no tyres had needed to be changed therefore I hadn’t looked for it until now. He eventually backed down and asked that I put all this in writing to pass on to his manager. I did so and wow what a response this was! Richard Thom the Retail Sales Manager started off with “Initially I want to confirm that the car was supplied with the locking wheel nut” well for me clearly this was conversation over! My wiper blades were fine also as this so called error free checklist of there’s had served them so well in the past hadn’t it with my manual wallet being missing. I found out some facts about myself on Friday from Richard Thom that I hadn’t realised before that I was a big fat liar and how excessive of me to be lying over some faulty wiper blades and a locking wheel nut. I mean who would try to swindle anybody out of £45.00 wiper blades and a locking wheel nut right? Well me I would! I am a manager myself and look after thousands of patients and their care including the well being of my staff and all I can say is that if I spoke to somebody like Richard Thom did in that two paragraph e-mail he sent me I wouldn’t have a job. He didn’t offer a solution only the fact that I was a liar. I have told him of this review within my response and no further response has been had. I wished I had stayed local to purchase my new car as if I didn’t live so far away I would happily be speaking with this man face to face.
Good, straightforward experience with Nicky.
I had a good experience with Nicky at the VW Windrush garage in Slough.
She was friendly and competent and very easy to deal with when I was trading in an old Mini to buy a Golf.
Thank you for making it so straightforward, Nicky.
Still disgusted in windrush
Still disgusted in windrush. My garage says They have never seen a wheel hub that had only one bolt in it DANGEROUS!! an hasnt had a car that has had so many problems. Please look at all reviews 3 out of 5 have had problems. He is a dojjy dealer that wont take responsibility for what he sells. Im currently having car looked at by expert as court recommended!
Took the car in for an MOT and prepaid…
Took the car in for an MOT and prepaid service at Windrush Maidenhead. Taking into account the prepaid service, I was expecting to pay nothing more than the (albeit) extortionately overpriced MOT. Not only did the MOT cost me more than twice the price of any standard MOT. Despite me taking the car in without any known issues, as soon as the “Safety check” was carried out, suddenly there were many faults found. Total cost of my visit equated to £667.00 for OEM parts that are freely available at any website selling the same original parts at a minuscule of the dealership price.
Sorely disappointed. An absolute rip off.
They charged me £280 for an oil sensor. OEM original part on we web is averaging £30. This can be changed by any none qualified mechanic.....it’s nothing more than a component part.
Oh yes....they even charged me £7.50 for the 3 screws that hold the part in place.
Then, I was told that even after fitting the new sensor, it didn’t work. They would need to carry out another diagnostic at an additional cost of £99.00. Wow.....and I thought dental surgery was expensive.
To make the story more interesting, the diagnostics couldn’t detect the fault.
After much head scratching and humming and jarring, it transpired the problem was the bonnet lock not recognising the fact the bonnet was opened, hence the failure....FFS.
By the way, I wasn’t charged by the hours of head scratching and humming and jarring by the “technician”.
Jeeeeeeeeezuz
I got stung about 5 years ago at the same dealership telling me the fact my rear tail light bulb was failing due to a wiring loom problem( surely a design flaw as opposed to my problem). That cost me £750.00 to replace. Within days, I had a blown tail light bulb...visit after visit back to Windrush, there were excuses, stammers and BS stories of what the problem “could be” and how much it could cost for diagnostic hookups blah blah blah.
I ended up buying a replacement bulb from Halfords at a reasonable price of a few pence, and the problem has never recurred....how do VW explain that one?
I used to be loyal to that place, thinking my enduring loyalty would end up with a reward of sorts. Now, they are just taking the mick.
I will never visit that bunch of rogues again, and sincerely advise you not too either.
They want your money, not you custom.
Absolutely useless, Avoid if you value customer service
Based on my experience buying a car from Widrush I found them to be absolutely useless, and wouldn’t recommend them in any way.
I doubt I will ever buy another Volkswagen based on my experience
They will probably give feedback saying someone will contact me to make amends, but I’ve also found that to be (not surprisingly) untrue.
Failed fault diagnosis
i took my car in to get a problem diagnosed and was told it would cost £99 to find out the problem. They could not find out the problem after an hour and wanted to charge me for 2 more hours labour, still with no promise of finding the problem. I was mis-sold to and would not use this garage again nor recommend it
Please do not buy from VW windrush…
Please do not buy from VW windrush whether maidenhead or slough. From day one since seeing and buying my car I have had major problems. They will find any excuse to rip you off. Most recent problem I had was gave my car in for major service in maidenhead branch. Today received police notification of speeding. Their technician decided to drive my car at 52mph in 40mph zone. Bunch of cowboys. Avoid buying from here. Learnt my lesson.
Bad service
This email is a complaint about the service i received from VW Slough. I took my car in as the headlight was not working, and i was charged £20 for a replacement bulb which did not fix the issue. I was also told that the fuse had been checked and was fine. I was then advised i would have to bring the car in for diagnostics. However, i was travelling away so explained i would get it fixed with my local VW. My local branch checked the car and explained it WAS the fuse and there was no need for diagnostics. I was left embarrassed as i was under the impression that the fuse was fine. I am now angry that VW Slough were going to charge a diagnostic fee for NO REASON.
VW Slough had serviced my Passat, after …
VW Slough had serviced my Passat, after the service I have noticed 3 yellow light came on dashboard.
I have contacted John, the manager in charge with my car service and he told me they have to inspect the car for which I have to pay£90+
Last service has been done at VW Maidenhead
, Where a mechanic, has damaged the lock for engine section, probably by closing the bonnet over protection clothes.
When I have complained about it,the VW representative told me to call an AA to sort they mess out....
Where can I do my next car service???
I would not trust any more VW dealers...
