Great experience with Wodar

Great experience with Wodar. Ordered tap which arrived as promised by next day delivery. Turned out to not be a good colour match for our kitchen but fitter was booked for just a couple of days ahead. Jonny in customer service was able to arrange for the tap to be switched out for another colour (literally exchanged on the doorstep with DPD the following morning.
Tap looks great quality; can’t wait to get it installed.

Terrible Experience – Avoid
Ordered a tap from Wodar based on their promise of next-day delivery – it arrived late and in the wrong colour. Only then were we told the colour we ordered was discontinued, which was never mentioned at checkout.

This caused major delays with our plumber and kitchen worktop fitters. We returned the item promptly and took our business elsewhere, but Wodar still took over a week and two emails to process the refund.

Customer service was poor throughout – slow, unhelpful, and with no accountability. We’ve now finally received the refund, but the hassle was not worth it. Definitely won’t be using them again

The tap leaked so I sent it back and…

The tap leaked so I sent it back and requested my money back and they refused. I had proof of delivery arriving at Wodar so I requested a cash back from my bank which I received. Wodar then asked my bank for the money again which they got. I’m now trying to get my £300 back once again. Communication is very poor and I’d never recommend them to anyone.

6 months after fitting, still amazing

When ordering my new kitchen I really wanted a hot water tap and researched online for a reasonably priced one. The wodar tap really looked gorgeous but was a great price too. I didn't expect the quality and weight of the tap to be as fabulous as it was on delivery. We had a quartz Island fitted and an under counter sink so it was a bit fiddly to fit but my husband managed to fit it and it looks amazing. 6 months on and we are really pleased with it. Just ordered the new cartridges and they arrived promptly and easy ordering. Thank you Wodar

Great customer service

Broken switch on the flexible spray head. New head sent out, no quibble, received within a couple of days, even though the particular model has been superceded! Great customer service, thanks Jonny!

Avoid this product! Poor quality and service

I’ve never made a trust pilot review, because I’m genuinely an easy going customer.

However, avoid the Wodar taps. We ordered one 6 months ago, it was a nightmare to install because their internal fittings are too short, making it difficult to connect your hoses. To top that, our hot cold tap started leaking water two weeks past install. We contacted Wodar, and they were not able to provide us with a proper solution. The person “Jonny” who’s tried to help us feels like a “bot” n (not a real person). When I called Wodar’s customer service line, they didn’t seem to know who Jonny was. And when I asked for a call back from Jonny, we received an email from him instead. Really sketchy.

Poor product quality and service.

Now we’re stuck with £600 leaky tap. Not to mention their water filters are exclusive to Wodar system meaning to keep the warranty, you’ll have to spend £40 every 6 months on filters.

Great product and service at a fair price

Good product at a fair price. Wasn’t sure at first considering Wodar is an online retailer. I bought the 3 in 1 boiling tap and it’s brilliant. It had a leak which I notified so far if 2 months into ownership of the tap, which Jonny at Wodar identified the fault correctly from pictures and video straight away and sent a replacement part straight away. All in all 3 months in very impressed, good job Wodar, thank you.

Packed in after three years

I've had my 3-in-1 boiling water tap for three years exactly. First impressions were positive: looks great, appears solidly made. Enthusiasm cooled somewhat after I discovered that the hot water isn't hot enough for black tea. It's 98 degrees, which (fair enough) is clear on the website. I thought it wouldn't make a difference that it's not quite boiling but you really taste it in your cuppa, though coffee and herbal teas are fine. So it didn't take me long to put my old trusty kettle back to work in the kitchen.

I replaced the filter every six months, not realizing that in a hard-water area Wodar requires a change every three (!) months. This is different from many of their competitors and, apart from the faff involved, adds up over time.

Now the heating unit has packed in. I recently walked into a kitchen filled with hot steam and a hissing tap spouting same when I returned home, quite dangerous really. Switched off the system and now it doesn't work anymore. Standard warranty is expired anyway (two years) but I'd hoped for some goodwill, seeing that three years of life for a much-hyped and regularly serviced appliance isn't exactly great. But the reply email immediately pointed out my obligation to service the thing every three months.

Thought I'd bite the bullet and buy a replacement heater, discovering to my delight that there was a £50 rebate going. Tried to order, didn't work. Contacted Wodar, turns out the rebate requires £300 of spending which their website doesn't say. Oops.

So I'll rip the system out after three years, a waste not only of money but also material. There are close competitors who cost barely more, whose offerings actually boil water and who have a six-month filter replacement requirement irrespective of hardness of water. You do the math: suppose the new system lives three years also (hope longer than that!). It's about £100 more expensive but I'll save six filters at £39 a pop. So that's a net saving of more than £130, for an actual boiling water tap. Never mind that the filters cost more at Wodar than at their competitors. For people in hard water areas (which includes most of London) this should be a no brainer.

Hi Axel, thank you for your review. All hot water tanks, non-pressurised and pressurised like Quooker, require filters changing, especially in hard water areas. We are very clear on out terms and conditions that hard water areas need 3 month filter changes.
However, since your purchase, we have upgraded and re-designed all of our hot water taps, tanks and filters as we continually strive to improve our design, functionality and performance. This is one of the main reasons we have just been awarded the Ideal Homes best kitchen hot water tap award.
The £50 off promo has a minimum spend, however we can look to honour this as we want all our Wodar customers to be happy with a full working unit .

Not a great experience at all

Not a great experience at all.
I ordered an aged brass hot tap and it arrived on Monday, as soon as I opened it I realised I had made a mistake and ordered aged instead of brass so I immediately attempted to return it. I filled out the return form and also sent a separate email to the hello@ address requesting a swap to save time as I loved the tap but just hate the look of what I had ordered. I fully admitted blame and just wanted a quick resolution. I have still not heard a word. I managed to source a phone number and they just continually fob me off saying unfortunately it’s not their department but they will refer it to returns. Last phone call was today and yet again nothing! It should not be this hard to return an item. I am actually quite distressed at how badly this is being dealt with. I have a bad back so moving this heavy box requires planning plus my kitchen is being fitted next week and I have no tap. Very disappointed.

Brilliant, high end tap

After doing hours of research we chose wodar for our new kitchen and we are very glad we did. The tap looks and feels just as high end as a qooker and is actually easier to use. Customer service is brilliant, and they responded to my queries promptly. It just looks so good!

Customer service is TERRIBLE!!!

Had several issues with the tap. No phone support which is frustrating so you then need to go back and forth with the most unhelpful "customer service" agents I've ever encountered. It took 15 odd emails back and forth with unhelpful responses to specific questions e.g. "see attached brochure" that's it.. nothing else. No response to my specific question. Ironically, there was no such information within the brochure with regards to my question. My latest email they just ignored so I gave up and best guessed how to install the part.

The tap is fine. It's certainly not boiling and their statement of "we expect temperature drops to vary anywhere from 5-15 degrees" is frankly embarrassing when you're selling "boiling" water taps.

If you can afford it - I'd go Quooker. Will use until it breaks and then buy from a company that can stand behind their product and has a competent customer services team.

Hi, thank you for your review. We are unsure on the issue as we have no order number or name to respond to on this review.

As you are aware this is an open vented non pressurised tank system. This means they are more cost effective and safer than a pressurised system, however they cannot deliver 100+ degrees inside the tank, the water sits at 98 inside the tank.

Temperature drops vary due to the following;
 
* The type of tap – some designs are larger spouts, like the 4-1, so the water drop is greater than a smaller spout where the water has les far to travel
* The time of year / room temperature (obviously the colder the tap, the colder the water will be running through it)
* The water pressure
* Also letting the tap run for a few seconds to allow the tank to kick start from 96 degrees energy saving mode

Water tank of Pro Flex 3 in 1…

The water tank of our Pro Flex 3 in 1 Boiling Water tap started leaking. We contacted Wodar. After sending photographs and proof of purchase ( still under warranty) Wodar gave a prompt and efficient service in rectifying the problem .

Tap replacement

I bought a 4 In one tap and boiler just over a year ago from Wodar.
However the tap spout had worked loose and what appeared to be a damaged thread would not allow it to be refitted.
I rang customer services and spoke to Sarah who a advised me to take a photo and email it to technical.
2 days later I received a brand new tap in the post free of charge.
I was very happy with the service and more impressive as it was Easter weekend.
