Not user friendly. Particularly annoying that they have made it as difficult as possible to come out of the app/turn off without still using data in it.

WAZE SUCK BALLS !!

WAZE SUCK BALLS !!!

PUNCHED IN ADDRESS TOOK ME TO ANOTHER BAD PART OF TOWN ALMOST GOT KILLED DUE TO WAZE.

I TOLD WAZE ABOUT IT AND THIS IS THERE RESPONSE

Hi Michael

After further review, we do not see any indication where and if there is a wrong address associated with "711 S. HOPE ST. LA, CA" as "711 S. HOPE ST. LA, CA" has a single location in the Waze map (located about 2.5 miles from "1606 MENLO AVE. LA, CA"). If you have more information as to the location of the "WRONG BAD ADDRESS" we will be grateful to receive it to further understand the issue.

Regardless, if you are travelling to addresses that you are less familiar with, you can examine the proposed route and relevant attributes and indications and it is your sole responsibility to decide whether you want to travel on the suggested route or to choose one of the alternative routes by activating the "routes" application feature, available to all users of the Waze service.
It should be noted that as a rule of thumb, and as clearly indicated by the terms and conditions of the service, the use of any navigation software does not and can not replace the responsibility of the driver from exercising discretion relating to his travel.

Regards

Waze Support Team

THIS IS WHY DONT USE WAZE !!!

Terrible GPS

Terrible GPS, the app took me to Heathrow Terminal 4 whereas I typed in Terminal 2 post code. I relied on the app and it deceived me.

App takes you miles out of the way for…

App takes you miles out of the way for no apparent reason. From my home the app has me going roughly five miles out of the way to get to the interstate. Once on the interstate I would pass the access that would have been much shorter.

It instructs driver to turn left when the location you are going to requires a right turn.

While driving on the road where your destination is located app instructs you to turn left onto the road you are on, for example I am driving on Rea Road about three miles from my destination and the app tells me to turn left onto Rea Road. If I weren't familiar with the area I would be terribly lost because there is no Rea Road to turn left onto.

This app could not tell the difference…

This app could not tell the difference between Rt. 214 East and West.
I went over 8 miles east until I realized it had sent me to the WRONG DIRECTION.

In unknown territory, late for an appointment, of course there was a speed trap camera (PG County, MD.) and it cost me $43.95. I know I can't blame WAZE for speeding, I'm not a whiner. However, this app, on this particular trip, SUCKED.

Terrible App

This app has repeatedly directed me into closed freeways and heavy traffic when other routes, including previous freeways I was on are moving free and clear. I don’t know why this app is still even used.

Fraid Waze is going down the pan

Fraid Waze is going down the pan. It was the gold standard of travel apps and in car GPS's. Now it just sends you down all the usual routes instead of finding quicker routes and I have to help it along by if possible using my knowledge of an area. Not good!!! I find my VW inboard GPS is equally good with some of my own input. So the end of what was once a great app. Blame Google who own Waze now.

Unreliable

App tried to send me down a section of road that has been closed for construction for months. It asked if I wanted a reminder to leave at 645am in order to be on time to my destination. I said yes. When the time arrived, nothing happened. Then, I noticed that the reminder time had changed to 1248pm for no reason.

Unreliable

Unreliable. Half the time “oops, something went wrong”. Other half time directs me into the worst possible road construction traffic when I know from experience there’s a better route. I’m deleting this app. It’s f’d me one too many times . Back to google maps.

Never, ever, use Waze in Napoli IT

Thanks to Waze, I was routed last night through a series of prohibited streets, some with concrete exit [but not entry] blocks. I had ZTL from hotel in Napoli Centro but Waze ran me through this hideous maze of unlit one lane wide "streets".
Next morning, Waze to Napoli Aeroporto, Waze routed me to a literal concrete wall on the north side of airport. Had to drive completely around airport, more one lane roads, to reach the terminal.
Thanks Suchar Pichai!

(Is there worse than a 1 star?)

(Is there worse than a 1 star?)

OMW home from work tired, exhausted and hungry, Waze gave me an ETA of a 25 min drive (the usual over optimistic eta). I live on Miami Beach. There are three bridges which I can use to get home. The third and last bridge is the one that leads straight to my building, however the first two exits can also be used. Waze, being the incredibly asinine and useless app that it is and designed by troglodytes, waited until I was merely a few hundred meters away from my usual exit to indicate on the screen (I'm using waze on a double din stereo display) that there is the following on the road: Construction on the road, heavy traffic, an accident, and multiple police. All of this was entered by other waze users a while before I got anywhere near that area. Somehow, this profoundly stupid app failed to notify me about ANYTHING. It wasn't until I was a half-mile from the exit that the app announced that there was construction on the road. After sitting in traffic for nearly 20 minutes, I finally realized that the exit to the bridge was closed off. Not one person, not one cop, not a single construction person, no signs, nothing, indicated that the exit was closed. Now, I will say that living in Miami is a miserable experience. Most of the people here are lazy and stupid. There's an electronic sign on the road, but the Neanderthals running miami highway system simply put "closures ahead." So since I was sitting in traffic anyway, I told waze that the exit was shut down. I entered it into the system TWICE.
LISTEN TO ME CAREFULLY: Even though I told this stupid app that the exit was closed off due to construction, even though multiple waze users listed that there was cops, construction, traffic, etc. THIS STUPID APP STILL TOLD ME TO TAKE THE EXIT!!!! Do you understand what I'm saying. The app showed an impossible ETA of about 8 minutes and ignored any data it displayed on the screen. I swear this stupid app often thinks I'm in a helicopter flying above the road!!! I was forced to drive several miles further. Because the “geniuses” behind FDOT closed off all but a couple lanes on the highways as well as the exits, I had to drive for another half-hour north in traffic (yet waze kept telling me to take the exits that were all closed off). Finally when I reached the end of the construction I was able to exit. Here's the thing, waze was telling me to go BACK ON THE HIGHWAY to drive back to that same bridge that was closed.. This app is awful. This app is useless. Last week, on my way home from some errands, I tried using waze to give me options to go home. It immediately told me to drive in the opposite direction of my home for miles, to then take the highway. I looked at my routing options. My home was about 10 miles away. Amazingly, waze's suggestion that I use the highway would take 17 miles. So nearly double the distance?!?! Would I get there earlier? NO!!! According to the ETA, this would take LONGER. So WHY?!?! Why would this profoundly stupid app want me to take the longest route, both in time and distance?! I'm so sick of this stupid App. I so wish there were better options out there, but all the GPS apps I've tried seem to be severely flawed in different aspects.

Giving compass directions in the city…

Giving compass directions in the city or anywhere, especially on a cloudy day, is extremely confusing even for those gifted with a sense of direction. One is concentrating on traffic, road signs and pedestrians so to be given the task of working out the direction of the sun and then the direction given is confusing and time wasting. And during the dark hours is just useless. Please use “turn right, left etc”. There is one version that will tell one to turn, well in advance, but then repeat the instructions as one is in the middle of the turn when one can do nothing at all.
There have been numerous times when I have been given impossible directions, like “turn left “ while on a highway with no left turn for many miles.
There have been times when I have been directed to travel kilometers when just 100 meters would suffice.

Waze used to be the most accurate GPS…

Waze used to be the most accurate GPS but as of recent endeavors that is not the case. There have been multiple times it takes me on routes that end up being anywhere from 20-30 minutes longer than the original ETA.. now I know it is just an estimate but even Google maps is accurate within 5 minutes. To add to that I have, on multiple occasions, went on a different route that I know to be faster and after it would recalculate it shows I'm showing up 5 minutes earlier... now why wouldn't it take me on this faster route in the first place? That's been the question I have been asking myself for the last couple of months...
