Irresponsible company

It’s outrageous how irresponsible Wyze’s customer service has been throughout my entire experience. First, I placed an order at full price, and just a week later, the price dropped. When I requested a price match, Wyze flat-out refused. To make matters worse, when I attempted to place the same order during the sale—at least five times—Wyze kept canceling my order for no reason. Every time they canceled, they invalidated my promo code, so I couldn’t even try again without being penalized. This is unacceptable and shows complete disregard for customers.

On top of that, my original order was promised to arrive by December 6th, and Wyze assured me that if it didn’t, they’d replace it with a new one. But instead of keeping their word, they wasted my time for days, making me chase down their shipping company, OnTrac, which has been unresponsive and unreliable. Wyze chose to cut costs by using this unknown, cheap shipping service instead of a trusted carrier like UPS, USPS, or FedEx. Now my package is likely lost, and instead of honoring their replacement promise, they’re pushing a refund as the only solution—again, completely ignoring their responsibilities.

It’s clear Wyze doesn’t care about its customers. They throw all the work back on us, refuse to help, and waste our time just to offer meaningless resolutions in the end. I even asked them to price match the sale price with my original order, so I wouldn’t have to return it, and they said no. All they do is push customers around and hope they give up. If this is how Wyze operates, they won’t last in a competitive market—no matter how “affordable” their products might be.

Wyze, you’ve proven you don’t value your customers. I’m done wasting my time with a company that can’t deliver on its promises or provide basic customer service.

I have 4 Wyze V3 cameras

I have 4 Wyze V3 cameras. They were fine until I updated the firmware. They no longer alert me or record. I have tried repeatedly to deal with customer service and they have closed out my support ticket twice with no resolution. They seem to NOT want to deal with their update failures. I WANT a refund.

Buyer beware the automatic subscription

I bought a Wyze Cam v3 as a birthday gift from the Wyze website. When you put the item in the cart, they package it up with purchase protection and a one-month trial of the CamPlus subscription. In the very fine print of the order confirmation email, they say that you are now enrolled in a monthly subscription and have to log into your account if you want to cancel. I didn't even create an account... I just purchased a camera. I tried to contact the support email listed on the Paypal site along with the charge and got a bounce-back message saying that the email didn't exist. I needed to dig out the order confirmation, create an account, and then cancel this subscription that I was essentially tricked into subscribing to. It's a deceptive and unethical business practice. I can't imagine how many folks get victimized by it. I hope the $2.99 is worth having a garbage reputation forever and no repeat customers.

Dreadful system

Dreadful system, completely unreliable. Constantly going off line and unable to view livestream. I am in the UK whom they have stopped selling to. The advice, when I get it, is always to power off and power on again. It will work for a while then stop. Strangely the alerts work, just not the feed. I wish it was good but sadly the updates seem to have made it very buggy. My experience goes back years and sadly it has not improved.

No customer service AT ALL

No customer service AT ALL. E-mail, phone, anything is hard to come by. And when you do find the information. Their e-mail isn't looked at anymore. Oh and when I call them... No one picked up! I waited for almost an hour. There was a brief moment when it rang and then it went back on hold. Spoke to no one. Oh the support line is in Washington. I just got my phone bill and got billed almost $60 for long distance call AND I SPOKE TO NO ONE. Do I recommend them? Before... but now.... not at all. I say STAY AWAY from this company whatsoever. There are many reviews and forums over on reddit and trustpilot who says the same thing!

The camera we were using has not been…

The camera we were using has not been working since June 2024. We switched over to fibre optics 5G as we had no choice from our cable company and the camera would not connect no matter what we tried. I attempted to cancel our subscription but it is to no avail. Nov 17 2024 WYZEZ debited our credit card for another year even though we cancelled. I cannot even find where our credit card info is stored in the app. Their instructions on line on how to cancel are so confusing and they are AI generated, there is no proper solution. There is a phone number but the number is NEVER answered. They do not offer/allow refunds either. We are really angry with this situation. FREE ADVISE: DO NOT PURCHASE A WYZE CAMERA, NOTHING BUT TROUBLE. IF YOU DO PURCHASE, BE PREPARED FOR A RUN AROUND. THIS WYZE COMPANY ARE THIEVES AND LIARS. THEY ARE NOT "WISE" AND THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE "SUCKS" TOO.

I placed an order on 11/12/24 by WYZE orders

I placed an order on 11/12/24 by mistake and tried to cancel within 51 minutes of placing the order. I am told there is actually a 2hr window to cancel. WYZE shipping disregarded the cancellation and charged me and shipped the order (I attempted to cancel). I returned the order promptly and then WYZE still did not give me a full refund like every other company will do. They charged me almost $10.00 for their shipping department's error. I cannot recommend this Company WYZE to anyone. They mess up and steal from their customers.

They say you get a free trial

They say you get a free trial, so I was leaving for Costa Rica for a week, as soon as I got back I cancelled the free trial. They questioned why on the app and I stated it was only needed temporarily. Well, 3 weeks later they charged me for 3 camera monitoring. My cameras are unplugged and I cancelled it. This is not the first time they did this and they don't give refunds, I disputed the charge with my Credit Card company so we'll see. I love the cameras but this bull$h1t is wrong if not totally illegal.

Bad App So Bad Camera

Since the last app update these cameras are useless. The problem is the App because on my old phone which the app was NOT updated the cameras work fine. On my tablet, as soon as the update was installed you cannot view any events without the app locking up. Worse yet is the fact that their support seems to not care at all. Since there is a multitude of complaints, all they have to do is either fix it or roll the update back. DO NOT BUY THESE CAMERAS. You will be sorry.

After subscription plan is useless

I have this camera for 3-4 years. Used to be good camera. After introducing the subscription plan you can't watch the record which make camera useless. If can't rewatch the records of event why is the use of the camera. Dispute the fact that you have inserted sd card you still can't watch record.
Look elsewhere for different brand.

No support for the software…

After Wyze “pushed” a software upgrade to v3.2, the devices in the app for iOS disappeared. After this unnecessary failure for Apple users, Wyze no longer supports their app “Services” if they were purchased via the normal “subscription” in-app purchase from an iPhone/iPad “App Store” subscription. The services must be purchased directly from Wyze.com. The user can NO LONGER use the features of the app… reloading only results in useless extra charges from Apple. Wyze will NOT REIMBURSE you for the charges incurred by loading the incomplete app from your iPhone / iPad! This is a reproducible problem.

N.B. Their hardware is great, but the application requires a familiarity with sloppy programming that most people won’t have. There is no documentation regarding the application. Not for novices. The support from the “Wyze Wizards” proved almost useless. The only issue they addressed was the fact that they would not support the app if the license was purchased from the app itself.

WyzeScam.....

Wyze has ““improved”” the wyzecam app to the point that it has become 99 percent un-useable. The latest crazy change is that wyze has put symbols OVER the event video so that parts of the video are covered up. It’s supposed to be a security camera that allows you to see security risks! They also have removed the delete button from the event clip playback screen which has added TWO extra navigation clicks, and when you are trying to monitor a large property with several structures with 13 cameras this consumes a lot of extra time. Also, the app can’t keep up with fast clicks so that what you think you’ve clicked doesn’t actually happen and you have to go back and re-do it. Do you think wyze will refund these cameras since they don’t do what they did when I bought them?? This is what I get for buying cheap junk. I’ll probably just sell all these cams on e-bay and spend more money on a better company. Change the name to WyzeScam!

Wyze? WORTHLESS.

The components don't work. The company doesn't stand by them. They clearly train their "support" people to drive you nuts by going round and round in circles and then closing the ticket.

Wyze JUST became profitable thanks to the loyalty of early adopters willing to see past their quirks b/c it was clear that once upon a time, the company valued its customers. Today, they are straight up stealing from the hands that feed them...

What are you doing, Wyze? Wake up and turn this ship around before you go down in flames.

If you are considering any of Wyze's products, DO NOT buy a single thing from this company until they guarantee their functionality AND reverse their sham customer support processes.

Well over 3 weeks ago I contacted wyze…

Well over 3 weeks ago I contacted wyze support telling them you can't record back from the SD card on the V4 camera. Support told me I had to buy a subscription which what's the point in having an SD card then. You don't need a subscription. They replace the camera and I tried multiple SD cards and you still can't record. I can view back from the SD card no problem. I ended up finding the wyze forum and see many other people having the same problem. Wyze doesn't even pay attention to the forum. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they responded with our engineers are working on it. It takes them over a month? Answer wasn't good enough. They are falsely advertising.
