If you go to the Yamaha website under "contact us" yu'll find that there is no way to contact them. It is only and opportunity for them to market and "let" you read FAQ's. There is virtually no support other than the web and then your taking advise from some experts and some idiots. Somebody needs to contact Yamaha and let them know that many people own computers now days and they work of the computer as well as do social media. Until a Yamaha focus group stumbles across this fact, their AV controller and Music cast is just another marketing BS thing. Ok, maybe I should buy an Apple product so I can use Yamaha apps, or maybe I'll return my new $800 AVR and buy a AVR that works for us computer owners. If statistics are correct, that is about 70% of the market. Yamaha, wake up and at least try to be relevant.

If your looking for old school retro looks with 21st century technology at a competitive price, under the hood look no further.
Good old Yahama.

Yamaha musiccast app useless
I have 4 yamaha musiccast speakers. After recent upgrade the musiccast app no longer works making the speakers useless as a multiroom speaker system. I regret buying them now and wish I'd gone for Sonos. Furthermore the customer service team do not respond to emails.
I had worst customer service experience …
I had worst customer service experience when I booked Fascino on 20th May 2017 from their dealer in India & they didn't handover vehicle even after 1 month. Also they didn't return my 66k rupees after cancellation of booking. Reasons to write this review:
1) I had logged a complaint from Yamaha's website against dealer & they first sent me an acknowledgement email with complaint details. When I called customer care to ask the status of my complaint, they said it is a request & not a complaint which took them around 8 days to identify. Pathetic system.
2) I was following up with them almost every week & they said this has been escalated to their higher authorities. But i felt like no one has an ability to resolve my complaint.
3) when I called them on 2nd Aug they said we have registered your complaint & our team will resolve this issue within 6 working days. But no one called me to give status update & no update on email also.
4) still following up with Dealer & customer care as dealer not returned my money yet.
5) Yamaha just added form on website to show we also handle complaints regarding dealership but doesn't look like they have ability to resolve such complaints.
Yamaha Receiver RX-V475 -- horrible customer service
I have a Yamaha Receiver RX-V475, bought 2 years ago. I have mostly loved it. Recently, the speakers will not play, no matter the input (server, USB, radio tuner, airplay, etc). I email describing the situation to customer support (US). After 2 days, they sent email, and asked questions, that I had already answered in the email. I answered. Another 2 days. Same thing, questions on things that I had already described. Next day, I received a call. Again, already answered questions, and just plain ignorance of the product and the world at large. After this, he told me I must take the unit to a technician. Wasted time, and just plain aggravation. Great products, but this kind of customer support just blackens their name.

I bought it as a gift for my grandmother and she loved it, appreciated it's thoughtfulness! I would recommend this as a gift, however choose your photo carefully as the photo I chose was a bit light in color from the sun and I found it didn't turn out as clear as I would have liked. I would chose a photo that is very clear with sharp lines for this charm!
Customer service not responding at all …
Customer service not responding at all to my emails.
I got given a brand new mixer for my birthday. It didn't include the free copy of the software they promise. They initially replied to my email trying to help. When dealing with them they have completely blanked me.
I will be selling my mixer and switching to a different brand.
Worst "customer service" imaginable
I've bought several Yamaha receivers in my life. Each time I've had an issue, the customer service is awful. It takes FOREVER, like an hour, just to get the first person on the line. They're often openly combative or unhelpful. They lie and tell you their supervisor isn't available and will need to call you back, of course they never do. Literally each of the few times I've needed help, this has been the routine. The latest liar who claimed he'd get a supervisor to call didn't even bother to take my phone number before saying he has to go and hanging up. Embarrassing and shameful. These companies need to lose dollars for treating their customers as an afterthought that don't matter. That's the only thing they care about.
Brilliant tech support
Bought a YAS 105 and could not get the TV remote to turn off both TV and soundbar as user manual actually seems to leave a step out. Anyway phone tech support and got a very helpful and patient guy even when I had to phone him back a short time later. All sorted now thanks to him.
Great service. Nice that some companies still value giving help and decent customer service.
update to customer service now dire
i have been buying and using yamaha keyboards for 40 years. their customer service is now non existent. most of our last repair bill was for mileage charges for the engineer to come to us. there are no local yamaha dealers that can service my psr s900 keyboard. i was considering a tyros 5 but in view of their awful service will never risk buying yamaha products again. they have forgotten what a customer is.
update 2 sept 2015
finally managed to contact very senior yamaha music management who recognise that their service arrangements are far from satisfactory. they are now going to collect my keyboard and repair it free of charge.
my understanding is that their service arrangements are now being reviewed and will be significantly changed and improved following my conversations with them. let us hope so.

misled, ignored and treated like something that smells and sticks to your foot.
i am told the reason for the 4 repair returns in 7 years is that i play my keyboard too much. what rubbish. i will see what trading standards has to say about that.in the meantime i am told that spare parts are discontinued, then told that they are not discontinued but i will have to wait up to 4 months. i could go on and on about this chaotic disorganised company whose own convenience comes before their customers. my sincere advice is AVOID AVOID AVOID.
