Will not use Yardmaster products again

Brought a Yardmaster Store-All 64PZ Pent Metal Shed 6x4. It is quite flimsy. The guys that put it up for us had to Google how to put it together as they said the instructions were useless. The doors do not close properly. We are having to use cable ties or the rain will get in. No joy from Yardmaster as to resolving the problem.

Ok for price, difficult to assemble!

Took two of us to assemble which is fine but it took us 10 hours to do it! Edges very sharp which is probably expected but just be careful, both of us ended up cutting ourselves and getting blood everywhere lol. Looks good and seems sturdy enough.
Instructions very difficult to understand and the doors are ridiculously stiff even with lubrication. Buy at your own will haha!

Do not buy this absolute joke of a shed…

Do not buy this absolute joke of a shed , I’ve been fitting windows doors and conservatory’s for the past 25 years , I’ve never seen anything as badly designed as a Yardmaster shed , It’s made from what can only be described as wafer thin bits of tin , felt like I was on Jeremy Beadle , don’t know how they have the front to sell them , There must be at least 2000 screws that arnt worth a carrot , I could go on for hours how bad this shed is ,
Do not buy if you want a good shed
Absolute joke !!!!!!!!!!

No problems with leaking needs to be…

No problems with leaking needs to be screwed up tight but not to tight, no problems with hole alignment shed flexible enough to align holes as long as you put roof on last, roof was fiddly and needs 3 people to lift 10x8 shed, instructions terrible to follow, once up really sturdy shed, overall quite pleased. Air vents needed, need to line shed to help with condensation, also plastic corners and embellishments should be the same colour as shed or a colour that tones with the shed not white makes the shed look cheap and tacky.

It took me and 2 helpers 4 days to construct one of their largest workshops/ sheds! A nightmare from the start. At one point was considering taking the whole lot to the scrap yard. I have a degree in mechanical engineering so read through the instructions several times, laid out all the parts in order, used extra clamps and timbers to support but had to give up on first day due to slight breeze! Once up not a problem if you pop rivet all connecting components. Do not buy unless you see this type of thing as a challenge. DIYer forget it!!

Two months no sheds

After one month of waiting I get a letter to say it will be another 2 weeks before anything is ready to be shipped to me.
I then finally email to ask where the sheds are another three weeks later to be told ring the shipping company, which I did got the run around for a week then told it will be there tomorrow nothing was delivered or a phone call to say when they will be. so two months still no sheds just annoyed waiting for a delivery that never came.

Assembly instructions are useless and…

Assembly instructions are useless and the shed is a bit flimsy once constructed. Ideally it needs bolting to a solid foundation. The "sliding" doors are anything but sliding. Two plastic bits at the top of each door that slide on a metal rail. The door grips to the rails, it buckles, twists and often comes off the rail. Because it's so flimsy the door bends easy too as it's just a thin sheet of metal with barely any reinforcement to it. Not worth the money.

For gods sake don't buy one of these sheds unless you are prepared for many hours of torture. The design is unbelievably bad and the instructions are complicated and confusing. The end result is a flimsy tinny thing that rattles in the wind. But you can't send it back as the prospect of taking it down is horrifying too.

Utter disappointment

If I could rate it with minus stars - the yardmaster would get solid minus 10 stars.
I am absolutely disappointed of extremely low quality of the garden shed they "design and produce". The instructions are very vague if not nearly nonexistent, just a sketch and a brief description. Panels are unbelievably flimsy, made out of paper thin sheet-metal, so you have to be extremely careful not to damage them when only handling. Assembly is like a nightmare, like living hell. No pre-drilled parts fit to size, nothing fits, like supposed to. You need an engineering degree to assemble the shed. Luckily I am a Mechanical Engineer, so eventually I managed to figure it out.
It wasn't so bad with the roof, but got much worse when I had to do fiddling with side panels. Some of them fit quite good, but at least one panel needs to be overstretched to force it into place. After lifting the roof on the 'overstretched' body, some of panels buckled. For my own safety I decided to build a timber frame inside the "shed" to secure and reinforce it. After the very first rainfall I found the roof leaking, so I had to seal it. I deeply regret, that I haven't built the shed out of timber and osb sheet. It would be solid, secure and weathertight right away. Basically buying the "shed" from yardmaster you buy quite expensive, fancy low quality set of cladding. I won't make the same mistake again - I will never buy a shed from yardmaster again EVER.

Not secure. Not waterproof. Not fit for purpose

Overlap of panels don't hold down no screws or holes to do so.holes don't line up.screws dont tighten up just continue turning. When put together can see holes and daylight from inside due to gaps everywhere. Instructions are useless because you screw together and when you turn the page you have to remove some of the screws to fit next panel. They say 2 men 6 hours to put together but you have to stop and ask for parts missing to be received through post. Had to wait for missing bits and Instructions 3 times. Has cost me over £300 for base metiereals. £150 for builder to lay base. £160 FOR BUILDER TO PUT TOGETHER. AND NOW I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO DISMANTLE AND RETURN BY LITTELWOODS WHERE I PURCHASED ON BUY NOW PAY LATER. SO AT LEAST ANOTHER £160 FOR BUILDER TO DISMANTLE AND HAS BEEN GLUED AS WELL WITH GORRILA CONNTRACTORS GLUE. SO WILL HAVE COST OVER £600 FOR METIEREALS AND PUTTING UP AND PULLING DOWN. AND I STILL WON'T HAVE A SHED.PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT

Very very poor

Ok, please think twice before going a head with yardmaster shed.. The instruction are very poor better use is for wiping my backside.. Nothing makes sense after several calls to the helpline they advised you need to start from the front. It took beat part of a day to get the base right and true. Another day to build the sides up minute the panels then another day for panels a day for the roof and another day for the doors. It took about all in 5 days to finish the shed starting early morning and finishing late nights. The roof was leaking even with it all fitting as the instructs 5 packs of silicon sealent and then a bitumen paint for arond the base rail....

If you are to take any advice please…

If you are to take any advice please take mine!
Do not purchase from Yardmaster!
I did through a company called Buyshedsdirect.
I had to save for a while to get my 10ft by 4ft shed being a single parent to 2 kids it was also going to be a challenge building it.
Although When it arrived I waited for the first dry day off work to build it.
Built the roof first as instructed then the base. I was baffled that it was only measuring 9ft by 3ft, had I made a mistake?
No I hadn’t, apparently the advertisement for the 10ft by 4ft shed is the size of the overhanging roof?!?!
I’m not putting my bikes on the roof.
Appalled at the lack of help by the company they were rude and not a bit helpful, no exchange or refund due to no original Cardboard packaging intact which was because of the heavy rain we had. You literally do not get what you paid for. Do not be ripped off like me :(

Don't buy if you value your mental health

Like many many of the others that have written negative reviews I would say do not touch with a barge pole if you value your mental health and your freetime.
The instructions are IMPOSSIBLE to understand, the screws fiddly and like many of the others short in supply.
For those who say it's easy if you are used to to these things.....UNTRUE.
My husband is very practical, can build a flat packed wardrobe twice the size of the shed we bought and in half the time. And why, the instructions are outrageously difficult.
Two days later, we are still not finished.

Yardmaster 13x10

I can only offer this company. Five stars due to the fact that their customer services have been absolutely fantastic. I lost a part to finish off the roof and the company sent me a replacement part free of charge, although I agree with all other reviews the screws are extremely fidley to work with. Due to the very small size I found using a magnetic screwdriver was extremely helpful, I managed to a wrecked 13 x 10 on my own without any assistance from anyone and I found it pretty straightforward. Although the manual is in an IKEA style format. If you have some DIY skills and can read a manual you will not have any problems whatsoever.

Now getting on to the height of the shed it is of course pretty low, but I placed the shared on a course of concrete blocks with a brick on top which raised the whole structure by over a foot and is now absolutely perfect . I placed three secure, hasp and staples with some extremely strong padlocks and the shared completely and utterly secure my next step will be to replace some of the screws with stainless steel rivets.for my own peace of mind

I am very happy with the shed and I know there are a tremendous amount of negative reviews, but if you take your time. Follow the instructions. You cannot go wrong and for the money. It is absolutely perfect

I Ordered 8x9 shed

I Ordered 8x9 shed. After 2,5 weeks I called them about my order. They said it’s up to the courier when they deliver it, very unhelpful. 34 days later arrived without advance warning (I payed extra for delivery in UK). Website doesn't working when I want to login into my account. Fitting hole wasn't the right position, and good size. The roof some panel are missing the surface treatment (like different color). Also some panels arrived damaged.
the installation process wasn't easy and it took no 4-6 but 10-11 hours.
poor quality. poor customer service. poor and useless website.

Assembly not for the feint hearted. Customer service not great

Purchased a 6ft x 6ft Woodview metal shed from them online. No delivery date given. Order tracking number didn’t work. Called and they said it’s up to the courier when they deliver it (very unhelpful). 30 days later arrived without advance warning.

As others have said, instructions very complicated but I am an engineer, so I could just about follow them. Realistically, you need plenty of time, space and patience to assemble. I would say 10-12 hours plus another 2 if you are putting a floor down. This is on top of preparing your base. You can build it and then 3-4 people can lift it to end location.

Not sure why Yardmaster try and trick people into saying it’s 6 hours.
Screws on uprights need to go from inside to outside and therefore all they grip into is very thin sheet metal. Easily pulls through and fails to hold unless clip nuts used.

Had to call up for extra screws, nuts and washers which arrived by post a few days later. Not sure why they couldn’t supply enough to start with. Woman on the phone offered no apology or concern.

Design is ok. Once assemble it looks good and is leak free. Weakest part of shed is the plastic handles yet that is where the padlock locates. Easy to snip the plastic with cutter and remove lock. I recommend a hasp and padlock fitted to doors.

Please please please do not buy this shed.

The worst purchase I have ever made and I wish I had read these reviews beofr purchasing and wasting time/money on this pile of rubbish.

Impossible to build, poor quality and just complete garbage. Spend the extra money on a wood shed, it will be worth it I promise you!

Customer satisfaction is not something Yardmaster have any interest in

I recently bought a Yardmaster shed advertised by them as 8’x4’. Reading the small print the actual useful space is far less.
On arrival the parts were inspected and the paint finish on a number of panels was either scratched, chipped or badly marked. As I was desperate to get all the contents of my previous shed out of the garage I decided to put those panels at the rear where they would not easily be seen. I thought any reasonable company would have thought offering compensation rather than having to send out replacement parts would be the best resolution. I then started to assemble the shed only to find there were insufficient securing washers used primarily on the self tapping screwed used to secure the roof panels. I could not understand that an item of insignificant value would be supplied to an exact number - except there were 4 short!
Asking for an overnight next day delivery made no difference, a further 3 days passed before the items appeared and still no response to my written complaint with accompanying photos of the offending parts.
Once assembled (and forget their guide times, I am a skilled engineer and could get nowhere near the time they stated) the finished product is good and very stable. However the quality leaves a lot to be desired. The doors were badly bowed causing them to rub on other parts of the construction and despite attempts at correcting this it has left me with ‘marked doors’
I have now written three times to Yardmaster asking for their Customer Service Manager to contact me to absolutely no effect.
If they think I will just go away if they ignore me then they have another think coming.
Would I recommend them? You guess!!!
