Very efficient booking company and wonderful location.

A superb barn conversion done to a very high standard. A perfectly situated base for a couple seeking peace and quiet, with fantastic views from every window. A very special place.

Enjoyed our relaxing stay in such a well appointed and comfortable apartment. Ideal location and everything finished to a very high quality.

Lovely characterful cottage, ideally located for Hawes but unfortunately property advertised as having private parking, Original Cottages contacted during stay due to difficulty identifying the right space, response was that it was wrongly advertised. Follow-up email was unanswered.

I am still a bit confused whether we were with Ingrid Flute holidays or Yorkshire Cottages. They had 2 separate premises in town, and we received emails from both companies. We found it a rather sparse cottage but it is in a good area for town and seafront and was comfortable and mostly clean. No welcome pack, not even a pint of milk so a little on the soulless side. Cottages vary, we would probably book it again if a few issues were addressed.

Property was Sea View II
We were informed after we had booked and paid that building works were taking place in the building the flat is is. There was some miscommunication around this (leading to raised hopes that it may not be taking place/had been postponed, which it hadn't). we did receive a small partial refund, but it didn't really make up for the impaired view and private parking space that were the 2 main reasons we booked that property.
Anyway, the flat was nice and well equipped. A bit dusty (probably from the building works) and not very well ventilated, so was a bit hot a night.
We experienced a lot of noise from the bar/venue within the building (a goth wedding reception and a Rammstein tribute act!) at the weekend. The was also a lot of noise from neighbouring flats (directly above in particular).
It was in a very good location for exploring Whitby and the surrounding area but wan't really the quiet bolt-hole we had hoped for.

Lack of information regarding building works next door.
Cottage was amazing but the wake up between 8 and 9 each morning due to noise from builders ruined the whole experience.

The apartment was lovely 5 star very clean everything you needed You couldn’t have asked for more lifts was a great asset to me and my husband as we are both disabled , the only reason I have given 3 stars is for the parking it’s so tight to get into your allocated car space you cannot open your door to get out of your car you had to be Houdini we found it very painful on our knees & backs It’s a good job both my husband & I are of slim build also trying to get out of your car without damaging the car next door , on this I wouldn’t recommend to anyone with a disability we have struggled for the last week with this issue.

The property description on the website is a misrepresentation. The reality is the property is not family friendly, there is one WC, there is no parking, the lounge is on the first floor, it is dark and the decor is dated. On arrival we were told by the owners daughter that we could not unload our cars directly outside the property and she had parked her own vehicle across the small driveway access.

Easy online booking and regular text and email reminders with important information before and during the holiday.

Fantastic location - house is beautiful with everything you need after a day exploring North Yorkshire. Spotless clean, beds very comfortable and the little extra touches were appreciated- Ideal for dog owners with the enclosed garden - a little gem and can’t rate it highly enough - we will be be booking again soon.
