Nice cottage
Nice cottage, but uncomfortable beds with synthetic bed clothes.
Location of the cottage is by a main road with early morning trucks and an abandoned building site

The Old Penny Bank, Hawes.
We enjoyed our stay at this clean and comfortable property, booking was efficient and straightforward. One star off as we were not asked for feedback afterwards and we felt there were things which could have been improved.

Woodpeckers Cottage
Stayed at Woodpeckers Cottage for a short break. It's a lovely little cottage with everything that you need. Lots of things were there such as dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, foil - really helpful to not have to worry about taking with you. There is a summerhouse as well where you can sit and relax and take in the fabulous views. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. We had 3 adults, 2 teenagers and a dog and there was plenty of space for us all. There are a few pubs within about a 10 minute drive that serve food. Beautiful area - and would definitely go back and stay here again.

Abismal customer service
Be very careful when selecting a cottage via this letting agent for any properties they manage.
Our experience this past week was a shocking one with no ownership of the extremely poor quality of accommodation. Apparently Ingrid Flute Yorkshire Cottages have stepped back from owning the issues and state it is purely the owner’s responsibility! With no phone signal available in the village to call late pm (or any time) on a Friday our only option was a 209+ mile drive back home. The reply we have received is truly abismal.
We will be committed advocates in sharing this information at every opportunity so nobody else falls foul and receives this type of customer service.

Booked a cottage “”end terrace”””
Booked a cottage “”end terrace”””, great location, only downside the cottage was disgustingly dirty, had to be cleaned for 3hrs by myself and my wife just to make it comfortable, they did offer to send a cleaner after we had cleaned it ourselves , poor customer care

Terrible company - not there to assist when needed
We have rented the same cottage a year on - standard significantly dropped including dirty biscuits left on floor, dirty food on utensils, general cleanliness, dishwasher completely out of salt and rinse aid and no linen left for beds we had been told would be. Thankfully the cleaning cupboard was accidentally unlocked - not very sensible given now risky cleaning products for toddler in house - so we could get some bed linen for the bed we needed to sleep in. I called emergency number (which by the way is only answered until 5pm, conveniently the check in time) and 36 hours later, still no response! Won’t be returning - shame as cottage was lovely last year. Check in time at 5pm is not acceptable especially as can’t even call for issues. Price has significantly increased since last year - overpriced and not worth it. Avoid.
An excellent property …
An excellent property that meets all the detail provided in the writeups, i would highly recommend this cottage to anyone that is considering it as a base for a Yorkshire holiday.

Providence Mill
Providence Mill, situated right on the Hawes/Gayle border, is an excellent place to stay. It is very well equipped, especially the kitchen, and comfortable. Private off road parking is a bonus. It is spacious, with two lounge areas and a separate dining room. Hardly any niggles - apart from a lack of mirrors in some bedrooms and the kitchen door needs attention.

We recently stayed in Mullions Nook at Bucken in the Yorkshire dales.
We recently stayed in Mullions Nook at Buckden - lovely quirky cottage - we were unable to write in the visitor books as we had no pen but we were impressed that every suggestion in the book was acted upon so well done. Check in time 5.00 pm. It is too late, 8 hours to clean? if that is true then the standard was not that great as huge cobwebs everywhere. The kitchen was lovely and very well equipped with easy to use appliances. There was a complimentary tray with a jar of honey, a packet of biscuits and a carton of milk - two wine glasses but no bottle of wine :( The "Nook" area was lovely but every single time I banged my head on the beam - so be aware. The bed was massive (the pillows were utter rubbish we had to raid the cushions of the sofa to help) the bathroom was modern and spacious - great bathroom - towels are not bath sheets and its a long time since i used a towel that small. The steps up to the cottage are steep and we found them a bit of a issue towards the end of the week when our German shepherd was tired, the biggest disappointment -we had wonderful weather and one of the reasons i booked this cottage was for the beautiful mature garden and a wooden bench to sit and enjoy the view- it took us two attempts to find this "mature garden" as it is so overgrown- no way can you sit and enjoy - also the bench looked very sorry for it self - the "mature" garden needs a good pruning.... thank god for the bistro set so we could sit outside the bedroom door/window. The pub is literally 5 minutes walk away and everyone was friendly and chatty so overall a great holiday - this is not a cheap cottage so I did expect a higher standard for the cottage / garden which unfortunately it did not quite meet.

Our visit to Hawes was perfect
Our visit to Hawes was perfect, the cottage first class - comfortable, well equipped and just the right distance from the town of Hawes. A short 10 minute walk, so we felt totally out in the country (sheep in the next field), but were close to all the amenities of this lovely Dales town.
