We had a garage door fitted from the Doncaster branch by Kyle and Lewis. Very pleasant young men. They were very polite and a credit to the company.
From start to finish all staff have been very helpful. We’re just waiting for a seal which isn’t Zap Garage Doors fault but the weather.

Excellent experience from the start. The staff at the showroom were helpful and knowledgeable. Communication with them was great throughout and we had our new front door and garage door fitted before Christmas. We are really happy with the products, great quality and a fair price.

Excellent from start to finish. Ordered two doors for my garage, easy to get booked in and staff were very friendly. Surveyor was thorough and not pushy at all, I couldnt have the doors fitted straight away so they stored them for me until I could. Finally had them fitted and to say I am pleased is an understatement, the fitter was very good and took his time and not only do they look good I know they are safe and secure which is what I want. Would definitely recommend

the worst customer service ever I apologise for the length of this but here goes visited for quote seamed to go ok but was wrong . first issue they didnt turn up on agreed date no call to apologise i had to call just told a mix up . door was fitted when i was out they only gave x2 remotes even though i asked for three then no cover over door mechanism told that quote only included two remotes and no cover . sales staff need training we asked for the remotes no notice taken and NOT told we would not get the cover when i complained responce was poor . then i had to buy another remote from them given a date to have remote brought to my address and programmed and again no one turned up . was then told fob coming from manufacturer and when it arrives they would come to program it still waiting over a mth for the remote . e mailed several times asking where my remote is no responce .very quick to give a quote and very quick chasing payment after fitment phoned me 4 times even though i told them i was at work and i would pay when i got home . yet dont care about resolving genuine issues . Your staff should highlight this so there are no grey areas especially if customers have never had new elect doors dont blame customers for poor service and im not the only customers stating these facts

During the site visit the advisor had recommended that the finish would be better rendered. Going with his advice, I agreed to that. However, the impression was that I would be left with a sealed weather proof unit. I was shocked to find on completion large gaps around the sides. They charged an extra £75 to return at a later date to add cladding to plug the gap until such time as I arranged for the rendering to be done.
In addition, it was later pointed out to me that the unit on the inside was not enclosed, which seemed wrong. On images on thermasecure site, the mechanism is enclosed in some of the pictures. When I queried this, I was told this would be another additional cost to. fit a half box. If this were an option during the site visit I would have happily paid for it to look finished.
Overall, all of the staff were very pleasant. I am happy enough with my door. However, I do feel the explanations given during the site visit and scrimping/lack of choice with the finishing touches have made this a drawn out process which lacks in quality. Also, as promised, even with the cladding, the unit is not fully sealed. If I had known this at the beginning I would have opted for a higher spec door.

Please avoid this company I have had a issue with my control box after talking to a fella called nick in the head office in Doncaster he told me that I would get a upgrade for my inconvenience after waiting a week for this upgrade to be installed to garage door a fitter finally come to do the job after the job was done the fitter called me to come have a look after noticing the cheap and nasty upgrade ???? and loose wires and crappy fob and extra parts stuck on the door itself. I noticed this wasn’t an upgrade. It was just a cheap fix to keep me quiet after talking to Nick again and telling him I wasn’t happy and that all I wonted was the old unit to be installed in the first place, but nick told me I was getting an upgrade from my old unit which was a lie? . And now I have this cheap and nasty install after a lot of emails and calls, it was finally agreed. I would get my old unit back, just fixed or a replacement. But yet that was months ago and I am still waiting for this to be sorted out. Please avoid this company because after-care doesn’t exist. Quick to give you a quote quick to take your money, but not quick to resolve any issues with their equipment

We are very pleased with the service and the quality of the product and workmanship. We made one small request for something to be changed after the installation and it was sorted immediately with no extra cost. The guys and office team have been very polite and helpful. Highly recommend this company. We used the Doncaster Branch.

Update 27th October 23
I was contacted by zapp today, easily 6 months after reaching out to them. What followed was a really confusing and pointless email chain. The gist of the conversation seemed to be that I only called them one time and so I was at fault? Eventually it was revealed that they saw my review, presumably used my name to find my customer record and then contacted me today, 6 months later, hoping to smooth things over, claiming my review was unfair...

Initial install great, door seems ok, everything afterwards (today included) not so great.

Garage door installed in november. I have had an issue since and called them up for help. They promissed me a call back that, weeks later, has never come.

I Very much have the impression they just want to chuck as many doors out as possible and don't fully care about helping down the road.

Quick and efficient process from arranging survey and competitive quote, through to order and installation, all carried out professionally and with quality work. The Thermosecure 77 roller garage door is excellent and looks really good together with the ANSA Roll Smart Control System. I'm more than happy with the whole experience.

Unprofessional. Damage was caused by a representative during a site visit for a quote and then I was blackmailed into having a reduction in the final quote to take account of the damage caused.

From the very start when they visited to measure up, describe the systems and quote for the work right through to the actual installation was an easy, painless and professional process. The install guys were great, no mess and a 5 star install but to top it all off a week later one of our builders happen to dent one of the slats and ZAP kindly came out at no charge to help fix the issue, now that is a level of service you can't argue with.
You may think the price is steep compared to the £899 doors being advertised but you really do get what you pay for and these doors are high quality.

Electric door fitted on 6.7.22 by Joe and Jono - they were brilliant and very efficient. Can’t fault the process at all with a really good lead in time. Would highly recommend.

As a recently retired maintenance and repairs surveyor for Leeds City Council i asked two local Wakefield based garage door installers to quote me for a new garage door to be fit at the front of my existing Carport.
Dean the MD of Zap Garage doors arrived promptly asked me what i wanted discussed the options and left me with a quote and a date when they could install.he waas polite and knowlegable
The second company arrived forty minutes late and informed me that it was impossible to fit a door where i needed it so he left .
I placed my order with Zap the two fitters Joe and Jono rang me on the day of the installation to let me know tyhey would be arriving earlier than expected
they were both polite and fitted the door to a high standard, cleaned up after themselves and talked me through the stages of installation, the attention to detail and the finishing touches were to a very high standard. they also explained and showed me how the remotes worked and demod the door working.

All in all a great job from Dean initially through to the lady in the office who took my order to Joe and Jono a very pleasing and enjoyable experience

Zap fitted an electric roller door last year. The garage is an old building and the walls were not quite square, but they did a great job of fitting it and it looks excellent.
I would 100% recommend them.

We had an electric garage door fitted by Zap. We were really happy with the service and the door is of excellent quality. The fitters Kyle and Shane were very professional. Would recommend.

We had a double sectional garage door fitted by Jimmy and his nephew from ZAP.

The two lads worked all day without a break taking down our old up and over door and fitting the new sectional one,making an excellent job.

They were very professional and made sure of a perfect fit .They talked me through its operation and cleaned up before leaving.

Had a garage door fitted today by Zap. The original survey was in March and we arranged the fitting date then. Shane and Kyle were the fitters - very polite and professional. The doors are just the job!
