It’s been easy to sign up and find work that matches my availability. Recruiters have been supportive and the app is very straightforward to use.

A good team that helps regarding opportunities and also try to line up your aims to potential roles. I’ve had most of my teaching experience with Zen. Aim for longer placements but I know that’s a bit more difficult

Zen is a great supply agency to work with. The consultants are really helpful and respond to any correspondence, quickly and efficiently. The app is really easy to use and provides the user with useful information about schools, including a link to maps. The daily rate is really competitive and there is no requirement for teachers to fill in timesheets as this is done automatically.

Zen Educate is great, always they have got something for you to work and very helpful. I just started not long ago the account manager is very nice always there for you it’s easy to connect.

This has been my most terrible experience with the an employment agency. These people gave me a late call for a role and then decided to change the pay as though I had arrived hours late to the booking. I worked with them on only three occasions and each time there was a discrepancy with the pay and I had to chase them about it. On all three occasions the pay came into my account very late and I had to chase them on one occasion get paid at all. They tried to book me the following week having not paid me the previous. Never again. This has been an awful experience. I will be checking other reviews to see if others have been through the same. I suspect it has. I will be going to ACAS.
I called Zenn and spoke to one of their representatives, on 21 November 2025, and she said “well look, its 4pm on a Friday evening!” That was her “professional response!”. How can you speak to your staff like that?
Zenn have responded to my review below, but embarrassingly for them, they aren’t even clear of the role I mainly referred to in this review. I worked for zenn on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th of November. On Thursday they sent a request. At 9:10 (and I will post the time stamp on my call list) they called me on the phone thanking me for taking the late booking. I told them I was unable to reach the booking before 9:50 because of the late call. They later sent me a text, after I had worked all day to say that because I had arrived after 8:15am they could not pay me for the whole day.
The previous week, i was booked but did not work because they failed to pay me for the work I had done the week earlier.
Coming back to 14 November 2025. Zenn booked me to work at a school that has two sites. I areived at the incorrect site but quickly made my way to the correct site. Upon arrival I explained to the receptionist what had happened. She said “many of their new staff accidentally end up at the other site, and she made note of it. I was not an hour late. So please tell me how I have not even been paid for half a days work? Explain that Zenn. I will post the payslip also.

The zen app is easy to use and once you’ve a booking all the information is there, such as the time and maps. There are training programs to keep you up to date and helpful. From what I have experienced the payroll umbrella company is also easy and accessible.
