DO NOT RENT ‼️
DO NOT RENT ‼️
I rented through Expedia out of the San Juan, PR location. We called them twice to notify them of our arrival, and waited 35 minutes for someone to arrive. They are VERY misleading, and I see from reading other reviews that everyone got scammed on the insurance portion. They would not take our insurance, even though we have full coverage and made us pay about $500 in addition to what we already paid to reserve. Not to mention, the site offered the car for about $471 for 7 days which we thought was an OK gig. Upon arriving we got rudely introduced to the $500 deposit “policy” and the additional $571 for insurance coverage. Before we even left the lot we noticed the light was coming up for needing wind shield fluid, which we asked them to fill before we left. On day 1, our remote would not unlock/lock the doors, we called and were told to buy a new one and we would be reimbursed. On day 2 we realized Car play/bluetooth was no longer working after we had used it all throughout day 1. It never let us connect after day 1, AT ALL. On day 3, the check engine light turned on. Also On day 3 one of the back tires had a slow leak and was losing air, we had to fill it 2 times during our 7 day stay AND a nice person who was driving behind us told us the back lights were NOT working while they were ON!!! So we had been driving the entire vacation with no break lights. On day 5 we decided to go to the beach and the car started misfiring on the highway, we had to pull over twice. It was all ridiculous, and very frustrating- imagine going on vacation and having to worry about your car rental every morning. We tried to plan things locally because we were really afraid of this piece of work falling apart on us. $500 for insurance on a car that’s all beat up, inside and out, I’m 100% sure any additional damage made on this car would go unnoticed. That’s how terrible it looks. We are very disgusted with this place and how they go on about handling situations, they show little to no care and want you or expect you to take care of any issues on your own, how about giving the cars routine maintenance? How about making sure these cars atleast LOOK like the amount the customers come to spend?? $1,500 later, we are very disappointed and dissatisfied with Zesgo. We have voiced that to all of our friends who come visit the island quite a lot and will continue to make it known to whoever talks about visiting the island in our presence. Never again.

this company is a rip off fraud for clients renting a car.
i rented my car through expedia and this company car was listed as a option .
i took it only to find they wanted to charge me $800 for additional car insurance truly not needed. My own personal car insurance was enough to cover as it has in over the 50 years ive been driving.
a raise that up to their customer service rep and the manger on site and they both were non responsive , knowing i was totally correct.STAY AWAY from ZEZGO.
Scam,SCAM
Scam,SCAM! If it looks too good to be true, beware! Tried to scam me an extra $1000 for insurance. I showed them my policy and they had some BS reason why it was unacceptable. I told them I would not be screwed and walked out. I had gone through Expedia. Have filed for refund with Expedia and hopefully it goes through! I’m not done with this protest! I can be a pitbull!! This was in Miami!
DO NOT USE ZEZGO!
Did not provide promised vehicle
Booked the car through Orbitz. They stated that we would be receiving a Toyota Yaris or something similar. When we got to ZezGo the agent told us no, that we would be getting a Chevy Spark. He said Yaris was not available in Florida because they are not made in the US! What a load of crap! My wife and I purchased a Yaris in Orlando in 2008 as a second car and I had at least two employees who drove a Yaris. I said OK then how about something similar as promised. Nope. We got a Nissan Sentra which we had to pay EXTRA for and which proceeded to break down on the second to last day of the rental period. When we contacted them they told us to bring the car back for an exchange (the car was not running therefore completely unable to be returned) then we were told to make the necessary repairs and we would be reimbursed the following day at the end of our rental period. Three months later and I am still battling with these rip off artists. I send numerous emails about one in 20 of which are responded to with a lot of double talk and lack of responsibility on their part. STAY AWAY from ZezGo
This car rental company is a scam…
This car rental company is a scam please people do not use you will sorry
SCAM
This company is a complete scam and Expedia should be ashamed of themselves for sending their customers to this place. I booked my trip to Florida through Expedia and bundled the flight, airfare, and rental car. When I arrived at airport I had to take a shuttle to an offsite rental company. (Which is fine) I arrive and wait for about 15 mins in line while the people ahead of me check in and they look MAD. I’m about to find out why, it’s finally my turn I give them my license and my insurance policy. (my husbands an insurance agent we have plenty of coverage) They tell me that we don’t have enough coverage and to rent the car we need to purchase their insurance house insurance. $850 for TWO DAYS! I said absolutely not and left. As I was leaving I met with a family outside returning the car who said the same thing happened to them but they paid it because they didn’t know what else to do. It’s a complete scam and I feel so bad for all the family’s taking their trips and getting there and this happening. Every person ahead of me and every person I arrived with apparently didn’t have enough coverage so it seems that no one ever will have enough and will always be forced to buy their in house policy! Save yourself the headache
AVOID THIS COMPANY
AVOID THIS COMPANY. I cannot believe Expedia partners with them. They are not legitimate. They have many extra mandatory fees, but by the time you find out it is already too late. Initial quote sounds very cheap, but by the time you are done they are much more expensive than the legitimate rental companies. As just two examples; They will not accept your insurance, even charging you an extra $170 after you get their insurance in case they lose use of the car after your rental. (Doesn't their insurance pay them for that already?) Then they charge you $25 for every automatic toll you go through and forbid you from using your own transmitter. Not only will I never use this company (or its AKAs Economy, Waze, Boutique, NextCar, Aco) again, but I will never trust Expedia again for recommending them.
This company have misleading charges…
This company have misleading charges and besides fact that they push you to purchase covers that you already have, never offer nor inform you of possible toll charges. Charge per toll are stounding $25 dollars and without noticing when, got charged $79.53 for 3 tolls. I wish they had offered me to include the SunPass instead of the extra not needed insurance cover. Is hard to understand how serious companies like Expedia and Travelocity still work with these types of companies which in the end would affect them as well
SCAM PRACTICES!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!
TAMPA loction. We booked a flight/car rental through Expedia. The car rental fee was practically nothing. First of all, we waited nearly an hour for a shuttle to pick us up, even though the flight times were listed in our registration.
After I got there, I showed my ID and insurance (American Family) and was told they 'don't accept AF for insurance." The girl behind the desk was not able to answer any of my concerns. I told her that I have rented many vehicles and NEVER have had to purchase additional insurance. My elderly mother was waiting and getting anxious and I felt I was under duress to go along with what I was told and the insurance was nearly $600 for one week. I also had to give a $300 deposit to cover any damages, tolls, tickets for which there was none. When we went outside, one man took an Uber back to the airport and two other families were as upset as us, but felt there was no recourse, so they also paid.
During the trip, the car wouldn't start so I called them and was told that roadside assist was not part of the $600 add'l insurance I paid for!! I then called my own insurance company who told me that I didn't need their insurance and that this is a "scam practice which nets the company nearly a 100% profit." I called Expedia to report this and the person I spoke with was in disbelief and opened a claim ticket. I am currently working with them to get my money back, but we'll see.
Upon return of the vehicle, no one came out to check the vehicle over, so I took pics of inside and outside. I brought it back with more gas than we left with. When I went inside to take in the key, one man was hollering about his rental and he and his family left by Uber back to the airport as did two young ladies after they were told they needed $700 for insurance. I told the girl behind the desk that they are scamming people and that it will be reported to Expedia and reviews. "Do what ya gotta do, lady." I told her that their customer services sucked and she said, "so do you, so get the hell out of my business!" NO LIE!!! I then heard applause coming from behind the partitions. I cannot WARN anyone enough about this company!!! DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't rent a tricycle from these awful people!!!!
staying away
i must say all the negative reviews definitely made me deicide where NOT to rent a car ill stay away thank you everyone. customer service is very important.
NO ONE SHOULD USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!
When we arrrived at the car rental company in Tampa there were at least 5 other couples that were having issues with the pricing for their cars. The price that was quoted was not what was being asked for at the desk. This company is a sleezy sham of an operation. They supposedly look up you insurance policy and then tell you that you do not have enough coverage. I assure you that I do. Each couple was asked to pay from $600 to thousands extra. Most people left without a car.
One couple Ubered 2 hours to get to their destination instead of paying the extra fees.
They also tell you that because you reserved a midsize SUV the insurance costs are even higher. When I asked for a different car, they said that they did not have one even though several people had just cancelled their reservations.
This company is a sham. I will be sending documentation to the AG for Florida as well as Expedia.
NO ONE SHOULD USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!
I ended up paying an extra $600 for this rental.
Zezgo Tampa -stay away!!!
Zezgo Tampa. The worst car rental in partnership with Expedia. They take you from the airport to the middle of nowhere and tell you that your prepaid rental is not prepaid enough. Your insurance is not sufficient and you have to pay additional money. They asked for additional $215 for a 3 day rental. Do not book from them!
Do NOT use this company
Do NOT use this company! We rented from the Tampa airport, did not realize they were not on site, were charged $50/day for extra insurance ( you need 500k) in liability, and charged $10/day for tolls that we didn’t need. Total SCAM. I was charged another $16 after the car was returned. The company may also be under the name Green Motion?? That’s what was on the van that picked us up.
Worst car rental company ever
Worst car rental company ever. I booked through expedia, and when i showed up, they said that they will only accept insurance from 4 companies, if you dont have one of those, then they charge you a high fee, it was like 125 a day for insurance. i left without a car and had to uber to my hotel. and this was after waiting on them at the airport for over an hour
Nearly $2,000 Charged After Return With…
Nearly $2,000 Charged After Return With No Proof & No Supervisor Access
I rented a vehicle from Zezgo Orlando and returned it on February 9, 2026 at 8:15 AM. The vehicle was inspected at drop-off. No damage was reported to me, and I was not asked to sign any damage acknowledgment form.
Four days later, on February 13, 2026, Zezgo charged my card $1,686.88 — almost $2,000 — without prior written notice, documentation, or explanation.
When I called, I was told the charge was for windshield damage and tolls. I was further told the alleged incident occurred on February 12 — three days AFTER the vehicle had already been returned and was no longer in my possession.
This makes no sense.
We did not go through any toll violations, accidents, towing, or incidents during the rental. I have clear photos of the vehicle taken at return, and the windshield was not damaged.
I have called repeatedly all day trying to resolve this directly. Each representative told me they “cannot help” and that I must email. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was not allowed to escalate the issue. I was denied access to anyone with authority to resolve the matter.
I immediately emailed and provided my return photos. Despite that, Zezgo has not provided:
Dated, time-stamped photos of the alleged windshield damage
A return inspection report
A signed damage acknowledgment form
An itemized repair invoice
Toll documentation showing dates and locations
A breakdown explaining how $1,686.88 was calculated
Additionally, my $250 security deposit has not been returned.
Being charged nearly $2,000 days after returning a vehicle, without documentation, without notice, and without access to a supervisor is extremely concerning. The lack of transparency and refusal to properly address the issue forced me to dispute the charge with my bank.
If you rent from this company:
• Take detailed photos and video at pickup and drop-off
• Get written confirmation of return condition
• Monitor your bank account after returning the vehicle
I hope this is corrected, but based on my experience, proceed with caution.
We booked a trip through Expedia that…
We booked a trip through Expedia that combined our airfare and car rental. The car rental company is called Zezgo. Unfortunately Zezgo is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I had to call Zezgo from the airport 3 times because None of the customer service reps could answer my question reference a shuttle to pick up our car rental company. Once we arrived at Zezgo the scam became apparent. Initially the rep seemed pleasant until she demanded $280.00 a day for additional insurance because she said our State Farm insurance wasn’t adequate. She also told us that Zezgo does not receive any money from Expedia for our car rental. She demanded $2800.00 for our car rental. We were not the only customers being scammed at this time. The customer to our left was being charged $350.00 a day for additional insurance and the customer right after us was being charged $250.00 a day for insurance. There were three groups standing in the Zezgo rental office stuck without vehicles.
If I could give them zero stars I…
If I could give them zero stars I would. Client had a reservation to pick up 2/12. Their flight was delayed and ultimately cancelled. This was booked through Expedia. I contacted Expedia, who contacted Zezgo, and we were ASSURED they were holding the vehicle and the client could pick it up 2/13. When the client arrived, there was no vehicle for them. They were told there was ONE vehicle and it was an SUV upgrade for $160/day totaling $960. The grand total was $1,221.98. FOR A VEHICLE THAT WAS ALREADY RESERVED AND PAID FOR! They prey on people and they lie. Highway robbery, a crime and grand larceny in Florida. This company needs to be put out of business.
Complete scam
