Buyer beware

Buyer beware. Ordered a highlander hawk bivi back in August. No sign of it, does not respond to email or answer phone. Not really sure what is going on with this business but I have written off the money or ever receiving the goods. I was offered a refund which I declined as I was happy to wait for the goods a little longer and was informed there were dispatch issues, but they have not turned up over a month later. No replies to calls or emails. I expect a plausible reply from the owner as to the why and wherefore. But as I say, just be aware of some of the poor experience and service standards exhibited by this business. I will not be using nor recommending. I wash my hands of it.

Incomplete order received and no refund…

Incomplete order received and no refund offered for missing items. I ordered three identical shirts, which at the time were being sold with a good price reduction, along with some other shirts. When I informed the seller of the mistake and that he had sent only one of these shirts, he sent a short reply stating that 'I only order one of these shirts and that he knew this because he packed it himself'. I once again emailed the seller, asking him to recheck the order and also sent a copy of the shipment details which clearly stated that I had bought and paid for three of these shirts, my emails were ignored. If the seller enters a response to this negative feedback by restating that I only ordered one shirt, do not believe it.

First time using Wylies

Very happy with my Keela Belay Smock. The pricing was extremely competitive and it arrived much sooner than I expected with DPD. I'll certainly be checking Wylies for any further outfit purchases.

Avoid. Cancelled order and took 10 days to refund!

Order placed on the 31st July and paid for express shipping. I needed the jacket by the 9th August so plenty of time… or so I thought! ….. No further updates until the 4th August when I emailed and asked for an update. No reply just a cancellation of the order as they didn’t have any stock. No entirely sure why it took them so long to actually do anything about my order.

Next was the issue of getting a refund. I had heard nothing until I emailed the company and asked where my refund was on the 10th August. Got the usual reply it would seem that they did email me but I must have not got it, and the refunds are automatically done when the order is cancelled but they would check.

Waited a further 24 hours, again nothing so I had to open a PayPal dispute. Then took them 4 days (including a weekend) to actually issue the refund.

Avoid at all costs. They cancel orders then keep your money for a further 10 days! Had my money for 2 weeks in total and I had to keep chasing.

No doubt they will reply saying “we’re short staffed” etc… Unfortunately as a customer that isn’t the customers problem. If you don’t have the stock then why is it on your website?

UPDATE FOLLOWING RESPONSE…

Utter lies! There was no banner on your website advising of any closure.

I sent you two emails, one asking when my item was going to be despatched which was not even replied to you just cancelled the order. The second one was also polite and just said “Can you confirm when my refund will be processed? It has been nearly a week since you cancelled the order.”. Not entirely sure how that is unreasonable! You replied saying you were driving but would look into it. You never replied to this!

robert placed his order on the 31st of July. That is true. However what Robert does not mention is we were closed that week and a bit as the big header banner that tops every page of the website that stated clearly we were closed that week. He didn't pay attention to that.

Its not the end of the world, it happens. Normally with age verification items. But, easily resolved regardless.

I had an operation that week, so closed the store. The banner made it clear that we would not be answering emails, calls, or dispatching orders during this time.

We are always closed weekends normally, so don't respond to emails during these days.

Upon reopening we refunded John, The refund didn't complete immediately so we rang Paypal to resolve it and to troubleshoot the reason it happened. After that weekend we did the refund again and it went through without a hitch.

in this time John opened a Paypal case. I took a day to collect all the relivent data to present to Paypal.

A simple case of a customer not reading the info on the website, and being a little to quick to jump the gun. With his "as a customer that isn’t the customer's problem" attitude that was also reflected in his other correspondence. Nothing we would have said that would have changed his opinion. So we refunded him to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Avoid stay clear.

Express deliver at £5.99.
Items purchased on the Monday nothing dispatched until Thursday and not received until the Saturday. Willys also combined two orders together saving them themselves the express delivery charge with no refund to my self. Willy has a real bad attitude via email. I’ll never use this company or recommend them to any one. Stay clear.

Steven purchased his item after our courier had left on the Monday. However our website does state clearly on every product page, and our dedicated postage policy page that there is a 2 day dispatch time. Meaning that Stevens order was not late at all. We were one day late in dispatching his order. We are very busy, so we upgraded Stevens order to next day, free of charge so It would still arrive withing the original time frame.

We did combine two separate orders. However, not for the reasons Steven thinks. As outdoorsmen ourselves it wasn't hard to work out the two items will be used together on an upcoming trip. So Steven didn't have one item arrive one day, and a second the next or even the following day. So, we combined them for him. However we didn't save anything due to the weight, size and the shipping tarrif used on his order.

The product I ordered was very…

The product I ordered was very satisfactory however the service was not.
The instructions for obtaining the article were not clear. I had an a message saying it had been delivered 2hrs previously when in fact it hadn’t even been posted. When I tried to contact them on the number provided I got no answer. After sending an email pointing this out I got a rude reply saying that the number wasn’t currently connected.
The courier service used was also sadly not up to scratch. Parcel said next day delivery but their website said it had been despatched 2 days earlier?
You say I was arguing with you? I merely asked a question which until this day you still haven’t answered. Your customer service skills are zero. I would never recommend you to anyone.
Even when I provided the info you required it still took 3 days to arrive despite the parcel saying next day delivery.

not a very accurate review at all.

Here are the facts...
this customer ordered an age verification item, ignored all the info on the website regarding providing ID as a legal requirement before any age verification items can be dispatched.

We did almost 60 age verifications that day, 57 of them arrived the following day with our customers because they did read and then follow the instructions to complete the age verification process correctly. 3 decided to ignore the info. Subsequently, their orders were delayed and each of them decided it was our fault.

This customer is one of the 3.

if you had read the info provided, on our dedicated "Age verification page" the email reminders sent after purchase, the 18+ symbols, our terms and conditions, the description info on the product page, and finally the big red warning box directly above the by bottom on the product page you would have had a better experience.

when we pointed this out to this customer he considers this to be rude...

here is a quote from a paragragh from our websites dedicated age verification page

"Its unfortunate that this section is necessary, but it is. Once a day, everyday of the week there is someone that believes the laws, and regulations do not apply to them, they are somehow entitled to an exception, or they do not have to follow the steps we require to complete age verification.

Let us save you the time. You are not! Please do not ask us to break the law or amend the age verification process for you. No exceptions will be made.

Do it once, do it right, get your order out to you that night!"

when this customer stopped arguing with us and finally read and followed the info we provided his order was dispatched the same day and arrived the following day.

ITEM NEVER CAME DO NOT BUY

2-3 weeks into buying my item never came. Sent an email and was told I would be answered the following day. No answer, I email again and was given no apology, told he doesn't know what's going on and is looking into it.

I give him the benefit of the doubt and say I'll give him a few days to figure it out, refund me if there's no arrival date within a few days.

No response, I ask for a refund and he ignores that request and instead decides to act blind and respond with "waiting for more to come in" ignoring my refund request. He told me to wind my neck in when i asked again for it. He sent it in the end but really poor service would not trust again.
