Very happy customer!
I had a bad experience in 2021 with Yankee not fulfilling my order despite it being before the cut off date prior to christmas so I was a little apprehensive ordering again this year.
I ordered on the 20th December around 30 mins before the cut off time for pre-christmas delivery. Order was shipping the following day on 21/12/2022 and has just arrived at 0930 on 22/12/2022. Cannot fault the service and the candles were packed extremely well.
Would recommend!
New look large jar candle.
I purchased one of the new look large candles in Cinnamon stick (same as I do every Christmas). I have been burning it for hours and there is no smell.

Yankee Candle Advent Calendar 2022
**Update** Jan 2024. True to my word I did not purchase their advent calendar again for Christmas 2023. No improvement, still a lack of Christmas scents. Still overpriced for what are smaller products. Nothing will ever make me buy Yankee again - there are far better candle companies out there who offer far superior products.
If I could give this 0 stars I would. Bought the Yankee Candle Advent Calendar Book 2022. For the last 4 years I have treated myself to a Yankee Advent Calendar as I love the Christmas scents and they keep me going into the new year.
What an absolute waste of money for such poor quality and smaller products. The advent book used to have a glass votive holder, 12 tea lights and 12 votives all beautiful Christmas scents. This year the votives have been replaced by smaller candles in glass tea light holders effectively slightly larger tea lights. The glass votive holder has been replaced by a small tea light holder but even more disappointing are the scents. Absolutely awful. Since when has ‘Wild Orchid’, ‘Vanilla and Cashmere’, ‘Amber and Sandalwood’ and ‘Clean Cotton’ been a Christmas scent. These smell awful. Even those that you would think might evoke Christmas have barely any smell. I was excited for this and had wanted to treat myself given how difficult times are currently but am just so bitterly disappointed with the lack of quality of this product and the blatant downsizing of products for the same cost. Unless Yankee revert back to previous popular scents and votive sizes I won’t be purchasing their advent calendars again. And I’m also sure that they will take no notice of this review or bother to respond.

No scent!!!…
What has happened to Yankee candles and their scents....they always used to be my candle of choice but recently they don't seem to have any scent, particularly the votive and small jars....they literally smell of nothing!! Complete waste of money!!

I ordered three candles from Yankee Candle late afternoon on 5 December. And only after doing so did I read the dire reviews on here and feared the worst.
I need not have worried. I received an email the next day from Yankee Candle saying my order had been dispatched and it was delivered the day after that by UPS. So only two days after ordering I had my candles. Fantastic service.

Yankee Candles - no smell after a few hours of burning
Is it just me, but I’ve found Yankee candles don’t smell anymore? After a few hours of burning, there is no scent. No I don’t, nor never have had covid or lost my sense of smell, but I’ve had a few recently like this and I’m not impressed! Have they gone down the usual route of having been great for a few years, built a loyal customer base, then started switching to cheap or fewer ingredients? Hmmm … won’t be buying any more!
Poor service Yankee, so I’m gone
Order placed online without difficulty and delivery time was pretty good. However, advent calendar arrived damaged (not then suitable to give as a gift) - box had been torn open/damaged on different areas. This should never have passed quality control or despatched in that poor condition - had I been buying in store, I would never have picked a damaged one at full price !! Contacted customer service. They offered £5 refund (as opposed to my preference of a replacement, given it’s a gift). Now will have to keep the damaged one and go buy a replacement gift as would never dream of giving someone a damaged item as a gift ! Poor care and customer service so Yankee have now lost my business (and I don’t mind telling you that I have been a very loyal customer for more years than I care to remember) - if Yankee care little to suitably rectify their mistakes, then I will take my custom elsewhere and won’t recommend Yankee to family and friends these days.
Order wasn’t delivered and the order number was “invalid”, still got charged.
I received an email a week after I had placed the order saying delivery was taking longer than expected (it was supposed to take 5 days)
A week later I got an email from them and UPS saying that the order had arrived, but it hadn’t. I went to track my delivery online to see if I had been notified by mistake but was told my order number was “invalid”. Tried to contact them but haven’t heard anything back. Obviously they have still taken my money.

I was in one of your fabulous stores well that’s what I thought I asked a young man to see if he could gift wrap my candle for my hamster that is when he skanted and pushed over the candle smashed on the ground and sliced my head open and he laughed and said you need to pay for that is angered me that’s much I stood up and lamped him over the head with a pumpkin pie scented candle he dropped and I left like nothing had happened and with a new candle for my hamster so won’t be back here ever again.

Ordered a personalised candle which was cancelled due to a copyright issue with the photo. Fair enough. I re-ordered with a different photo. Checked my bank to see that they had charged me for the replacement order including a shipping charge PLUS another shipping charge. Contacted live chat to see why I had been charged for postage twice to be told that I had been charged postage on the cancelled order because they had sent me a free hand gel from the CANCELLED order. Advised the free gift has been returned to sender as I didn't want it, nor do I want to be charged for postage on something that had been cancelled and I didn't ask for in the first place. Advisor on the live chat said all they could do was apologise. It was only when I asked for a refund that they said would refund when her supervisor had 'accepted' it. Get out of here, refund me immediately! Such bad service, I will NEVER order from here ever again. (The first order I ever placed a couple of years ago was lost in the post so it's not a great experience in general!)

I went into the Leicester shop today in the Highcross to buy some candles as I picked the items I was going purchase a young girl was talking about her cv and handing it over to the lady behind the till. The sales assistant seemed rude and when the young girl was asking about the shifts, the lady gave her one word answers in tone that made me feel uncomfortable. When I got to the till to pay the young girl just left, the lady behind the till put a big NO on her CV in front of me and crossed against her CV. I was shocked that this was done in front of a customer, the lady behind the till didn’t even look through her CV, just put a cross against it and a big fat NO! How disrespectful is this and also didn’t even pay a note to the young girls CV. So disappointing, if your going to do this at-least do it discreetly in a office, not on the shop floor in front of another Customer! That poor girl, was only looking for a job and she was actually polite and spoke in a good manner. You should not keep staff that are inconsiderate and have no respect! I’m disappointed with what I saw today at the Leicester shop in Highcross. Train your sales assistants/ managers to have some respect and kindness!
Scentless rubbish these days
These used to be my favourite scented candles and smelt lovely.Over past 2years I thought it was my sense of smell,they don’t have any scent anymore.Floral,food,fruity and burning mixtures of scents and none smell.I agree these should be sold as Unscented candles.I am burning 5 votives of clementine today,I put them all in the living room as a last attempt with yankees and they do not smell at all.I won’t be buying this brand anymore,waste of money,shame.

Awful, if this is what ‘wedding day’ smells like thank god am not married. Personalisation was tiny absolute waste of money. 30£ gift card would of been nicer. Avoid

Soot damage to bedroom
My daughter bout one of the candles. After 20 minutes black smoke began to appear from the wick. It has left soot damage to the walls, ceiling, shelves and windows. When I contacted Yankee they have refused to accept responsibility that the candles have an issue even though there have been numerous complaints for the same issue. They offered me £50 of other products. Why would I want this when there is hundreds of pounds worth of damage to the bedroom?
Do not buy these products. Customer service is none existent.
Yankee candle do not honour offers.
Yankee candle in McArthur Glen have a 10% off offer to scan on their payment desk that they do not actually honour, they also have a military discount offer that they do not honour. They also have the cheek to charge for paper bags, I explained the bag charges were to stop people using plastic bags not just so a company can earn money selling tiny paper bags. I asked the manager about the offers but couldn’t really make out what he was saying as he had a mouth full of food.
