Will be accused of being a thief if you need a spare part.
My mother was gifted one of the portable lamps from a friend and as life happens we lost the charger that goes with it.
We called the company and the sales rep had a nasty unprofessional response to her. He naturally asked if she had an order number, but as this was a gift she did not an only wanted to purchase a new charger. The man on the other end replied sarcastically: "OH it's always a gift isn't it? We know people steal these all the time from restaurants" It was an insulting, unnecessary comment an a poor reflection on how the company treats its customers.
When I tried to reach out to the US sales manager in a kind tone on her behalf, I began to feel as if he was insinuating I stole this as well. I've never heard back and frankly considering I can't use the light without the charger, it's destined for the trash like these sales reps attitude.
Listen, I understand that theft would be a problem for the company that makes portable lights. This is why people use serial numbers and QR codes on their products. However it shouldn't be that big of a deal if they don't have an order number, they just need a spare part and are willing to purchase it.
To begin a customer service call by making someone feel like a thief cause they need a charger is absurd. It's 2021, that happens with all of the kinds of electronics we have today.
To Zafferano, I suggest you learn to teach your reps to have better manners and to be a bit more understanding.
