STAY AWAY!
It is purely AI, you never can speak with a human. They rate your driving by tracking your phone. I have not even been in my car and my rating is at risk, threatening to end my policy.
The most frustrating company - False data, threatening to cancel policy, but no human to speak with. Only an AI bot that sends you around in circles.

Had a great experience with Jemma today, she took her time with me & gave me a super customer experience, she quoted me for both my cars with 3 different providers and then emailed me all the documents at the end.

Nothing but trouble!! Before I took the policy I called to ask if there would be a charge to put a personal reg on the car in the few days of the policy. I was told there would be no fee. Less than a week in and I try to make the change only to be told there is no ‘fee’ but there is a £25 admin charge. What a con. One week after having been told it would be done, I receive a letter from the police saying my car is uninsured. All because Zego failed to update the reg.
On top of this I receive daily warnings my policy will be cancelled due to poor driving!! I have two other cars on yelemativ insurance, both good driving stats. Eventually a customer person acknowledges the app has ‘teething’ issues and pause the threat to cancel.
The only reason I have not given one star is the helpful person managing the driving issue.
The £25 fee for the reg change which took 2hrs on chats is a disgrace.
Helen was a lovely person to speak to helped me.. I understood everything she made sure I knew.. I’m so grateful to have her deal with me… thanks Helen !

Very disappointing experience with Zego.
I have an annual policy and recently received warnings that my insurance may be cancelled due to my driver rating. I have followed all of the guidance provided in the app and made every effort to improve my score, but despite this there has been no improvement or clear explanation as to why.
What is most frustrating is that I do not believe my driving behaviour has changed, yet I am now facing possible cancellation with very little transparency about what specific data or events have caused this.
As a customer paying for annual insurance, I expected clearer communication, accurate tracking, and a fair opportunity to resolve any issues before being threatened with cancellation.
I have raised a formal complaint and asked for detailed evidence of the driving events affecting my score, along with clarification on whether this could affect future insurance applications.
At the moment, I do not feel confident in the fairness or reliability of the app-based rating system.
I WOULD NEVER USE ZEGO INSURANCE AGAIN AND ADVISE YOU DON’T EITHER. It appears they just want to take your money and not insure you.
