After years of migraines and chronic pain and already trying many many things I stumbled across the idea of electric stimulation devices for the Nervus Vagus,

This after I tried Daith piercings and had them removed because they kept getting irritated and infected even after 1.5-2 years.

Knowing the Daith piercings helped a lot with the migraines and getting them back immensely after removing the piercings, the idea of electric stimulation besides the manual stimulations seemed like a good idea so after searching the web, I ordered the Luna device.

First I started with trying all the modes out and following the instructions of doing the relief and medit mode for the pains I'm having.

These at first didn't seem to help and I felt like things were actually getting worse, after a while of continuing the process I decided to mail support and explain that it didn't seem to be working and maybe I was using the machine wrong, if not than maybe I could get a refund (even though I was already passed the "trying/return" period).

Quickly I got a response of support and soon we came to the conclusion I was indeed using the machine slightly wrong (especially in my personal situation)

As I am highly sensitive and started using it in a period of a fibromyalgia flare up I got the advice to slowly start building up usage and at start keep it only at the relax mode as this is the least intense setting.

If things would still not improve they offered me to still send it back and get a refund (which would be way past the "allowed" return policy)

This alone told me they are really behind their product and I decided to keep using it as newly advised.

Few months later and here I am writing this review.

My migraines seem to have lowered in frequency (according to my medication taking longer before I need to order new) and I've also been free of pain medication for almost 2 weeks now. (Not saying my pains are gone, by far they are not, but being able to not need to dampen the pains is a huge win and major progress in my opinion)

I'm still building up the usage and am also not yet using it consistently though I am trying to build that up. (Maybe that will become easier with an app that can remind you and keep track of things in the future)

All by all, always trying to find ways to make my pains less, this machine really seems to be helping as an addition to the things I've already been doing.

Battery goes a long way and you can do multiple sessions before you have to recharge it which is great.

I notice it is best to sit down and take the whole 20 minutes whilst also "meditating" or just sitting relaxed or laying down but if one does not have time to sit down or/and is busy, you can just put the device in your pocket and wear it whilst doing your thing.

For me usually after about 10 minutes (halfway the session) it becomes a little intense and I turn down the machine by 1 or 2 levels which I start somewhere between 10 and 12, this is when I start feeling it's giving me "taps" on the nerve and then after 10 minutes or so, when I've gotten more sensitive in the ear, I turn it down 1 or 2 levels (to level 8-10) to get that same amount of "tap" feeling on my nerve again.

I can recommend this machine to anyone looking for more calmness/pain relief and or better sleep quality, all be it a pricy machine, it seems to be well worth the investment and the costumer service is excellent!

My gut health specialist I work with realized I have a strong connection between stress and my lower digestion.. She recommended I try a Vagus nerve stimulator. I was skeptical, but I've ad my Zeno well for 6 months now and it completely fixed my lower GI issues... I couldn't believe it. I use it daily, if I stop the symptoms come back so I just put it on for 20 minutes before bed every night and never think twice about my lower GI.

I took a chance on Zenowell after doing some research on VNS devices. It was not particularly cheap and reviews were sparse at the time, however I was quite impressed by the design targeting two stimulation points.

I had some issues with the cord fraying on the earpiece, however this was very quickly remedied and I was sent a new earpiece with a visible larger (and presumably stronger) cord attachment.

The device itself is simple to use and the earpiece design is very convenient.

I bought the Zenowell Luna a few weeks ago because I was struggling to shut my brain off at night, and honestly, it’s been a huge help. I was a little skeptical at first about whether a gadget like this would actually work, but the sleep mode is fantastic. It sends a gentle pulse through the ear clip that just seems to quiet my racing thoughts and relaxes my whole body.

I used to stare at the ceiling for an hour, but now I’m usually out within 20 minutes of turning it on. It feels like a natural way to relax without needing sleeping pills, and I’ve noticed I wake up feeling genuinely rested instead of groggy. It’s super simple to use right before bed and has become the one part of my routine I really look forward to. If you are on the fence about it, I’d definitely say give it a shot.

I purchased the vagus nerve stimulator as I had tried everything else to improve sleep. To my surprise it does help keep me asleep during the middle of the night when I would normally wake up. Not perfect every night but enough to make a big difference. Secondly, the customer service they provide is fantastic. I decided to get a vagus nerve stimulator (VNS) recently and searched for a high-quality but affordable device. I came across several VNS devices, but one was overpriced, another one’s company is engaging in shady practices, and I did not have trust in cheap generic devices either. Then I came across ZenoWell. When I learned about who is behind the company - real scientists who used to make medical-grade research and in-hospital equipment for vagus nerve stimulation, I thought that I could trust people who actually developed the device. Its price is also pretty reasonable compared to the competition. I was excited to try the device out. My primary goal was to increase my HRV and train my nervous system to be more resilient. However, not long before I pulled the trigger and ordered the device, I started having migraines. I decided to not go to doctor yet but to observe the symptoms and frequency. When I learned that ZenoWell has a relief mode specifically designed to alleviate pain, including chronic pain and migraines, I was curious. When the device arrived, I was excited and started using it straight away! I used it on relax mode intensity 7 for a few days. I noticed some unusual sensations and even nausea. I realised that it could be too much of an intensity for me, I am generally a very sensitive person, get dizzy often, depend on the weather, have hypotension etc. So I lowered the intensity to 3-4 and changed the mode to medit. The unpleasant symptoms have subsided. Instead, I am feeling super calm immediately after each session and get sleepy. It also seems to help with my migraines, as in the whole month of me using the device I have not had a single episode. This is so cool! I can’t believe it’s working. Yesterday, I had mild symptoms of migraine without the pain but with the weird heaviness in my head and brain fog. I decided to test whether ZenoWell could help me get rid of those symptoms right in the moment, and not only prevent them. And it worked! I used it for longer than usual, 40 minutes, on relief mode, and I started feeling better! All in all, I can really recommend this device to anyone looking to tone their vagus nerve. Apparently, this nerve is super important for pain management as well. My HRV has not really seen a huge change, but I am also doing lots of sports, and the HRV might be impacted by that as well. Customer service is also very pleasant and proactive. The passion for the project is there, and I am wishing the company the greatest development and expansion! I already recommended this device to my friends and family who struggle with stress and burnout.

Customer service was also great. I wanted to exchange an earpiece and they were very helpful. There was a bit of miscommunication at one point but that got resolved very quickly.

I recommend ZenoWell. I’ve been struggling with chronic headaches for over a year and a half now and decided to give vagus nerve stimulation a try after trying so many other avenues. I went with ZenoWell because I liked the idea of a wearable that I can put in whenever I need it, and I’m glad I did. Not only am I finding some relief that I haven’t been able to achieve with different meds and therapies, but their customer service is amazing.

I post this review as an individual for whom vegas nerve stimulation has not proved effective. I still feel the clinical evidence is strong but accept that inevitably individual circumstances and conditions mean the procedure is unlikely to be effective for everyone. Having said this I have no hesitation in strongly recommending a no risk trial with the Zenowell luna unit.

Whilst it took a little bit of practice getting used to the placement of the earpiece the unit is very easy to operate and the four different settings allowed me to choose the one or two areas I really wanted to focus on. An accompanying booklet explaining simple breathing techniques to optimize the impact of nVNS is very helpful.

The unit is also well constructed with little chance of damaging the connections by inadvertent tugs on the lead.

But most importantly the support, in the form of short, helpful online videos and direct support through email, has been first class. My main contact was through Vivi who was really invested in helping me to get the best possible experience and then very understanding when there was no significant impact over the period of the trial. It is rare in my experience to get such quality support.
And of course I should note that Zenowell have honoured their agreement to refund me.
Just be aware that should your experience be the same as mine you may have to pay the cost of the postage back to Germany but this is not an unreasonable cost given the opportunity to trial the unit for one month.

So if you are looking for a nVNS device I would strongly recommend the Zenowell luna to you.

I suffer from vestibular migraine, I get 2 to 3 migraine attacks per week. Ajovy was great for 3 months, then stopped working. Having researched vagus nerve stimulation it seemed that the Zenowell Luna was the device that most accurately stimulated the vagus nerve innervation of the outer ear. I have tried a trigeminal stimulator, which got me to sleep, but did nothing for my migraines.
I ordered the Zenowell Luna on Amazon, however the unit comes standard with just a left ear stimulator. My migraines are right-sided. I brought this to the attention of Zenowell and they promptly sent me a complementary right ear unit! Great customer service!
I have been using the Zenowell Luna for about 2 weeks, so early days! My migraine frequency and severity and post-migraine malaise all seem to be improved and most importantly, the brain fog that has been my constant companion since the Ajovy stopped working is significantly better. I do one meditation each morning, one relaxation followed by a sleep cycle at bed time.
The Zenowell Luna gets me to sleep as well as the trigeminal stimulator and, so far, is having a very positive effect on my vestibular migraines.

Absolutely fantastic customer service. Thought I had an issue with the unit but figured out what I was doing wrong. I have been using my Zenowell Luna for around three weeks and am having a good experience. I have ME/CFS and severe intestinal issues that are making life pretty miserable. So with my body under constant stress I felt I might benefit by using a vagus nerve stimulation device. This is something I had tried before using a device with ear clips, but couldn’t see any benefit. However I thought it was worth another attempt, so had a look to see what is currently available and came across the impressive Zenowell website. Compared to other vagus nerve stimulation devices the Zenowell Luna appeared easy to operate without needing to use an app; user reviews were positive and the price was reasonable, so I went ahead with an order. After not too long a wait the parcel arrived, with the Luna beautifully presented in a box together with comprehensive instructions and a lovely booklet about vagus nerve regulating activities. The Luna itself comes in a small carry case together with charging and connection cables, a tube of electro conductive gel and a small spray bottle for water to help with connection. The device in its carrying case is small, lightweight and very portable to carry with you. So my experience of using the Zenowell Luna - Operation is simplicity itself, though sometimes difficult to get the best connection through the earpiece. I have been using it primarily to help with my sleep. Previously some nights I was only asleep for a few minutes due to pain and discomfort. After around three weeks there has beeen a marked improvement in my sleep. I fall asleep whilst reading with the Luna in sleep mode, though I do tend to wake again later and find I am still plugged in. I am able to ignore my symptoms more easily and get back to sleep again without spending miserable hours awake focusing on my discomfort. Additionally I have used the other programs, but not on such a regular basis as the sleep function. I need to find the most beneficial regime. What I have noticed is a dramatic decrease in my stress levels. I was feeling very stressed, depressed and anxious because of the severity of my symptoms; but now I’m not. I feel pretty calm and relaxed despite everything. So now my body has a chance to reset and recover. I would recommend anyone considering a purchase to go ahead.

I’ve been using WHOOP for over two years to track my sleep, recovery, and training, so I’m very familiar with my baselines. ZenoWell Luna + Awesome Service = 10 OUT OF 10 so far.

I researched ALL available vagus nerve stimulators on the market intensively over a couple of weeks myself, through ChatGPT, and with a trusted healing professional in the USA (he said he was glad I stayed away from the neck ones).

ChatGPT told me to contact the company and ask about their warranty and see how fast their response is, if any!

I asked for the warranty details and full specs of the device (via WhatsApp which is their preferred service contact method).

They responded within a day and explained the specs and full details of their warranty which matched their advertising, other brands wouldn't tell me specs as it's a secret.

My main motivation is to increase my HRV score, manage stress and blood pressure, and the occasional mild migraine.

I settled on the ZenoWell Luna because it has 4 modes including headache and reports were good. The clincher was the awesome customer service and extremely friendly manner.

I received my Luna within a week with full and detailed updated tracking to my PO Box in Australia from Hong Kong.

The packaging was very secure with double bubble wrap and in a cardboard box.

A surprise was the actual device packaging which includes a great hard carry case which is stylish, upmarket and very functional.

It included a small water spray bottle and gel applicator brush, both fit in the case with the earpiece which is very creative.

The Luna itself is very compact and stylish using quality materials, with an easy to read screen.

The earpiece fits perfectly for me and very snug (but ok) for my wife who has smaller ears.

So far I've tried each mode a couple of times. (Update, I've used 2 modes, relax and sleep every day since I got it.)

I'm using RELAX first thing in the morning and SLEEP before bed. I'll use Meditate & Headache on a need basis.

I do feel good after each session, in fact I noticed myself smiling basically all day after the first session.

I've noticed my heart rate lowering while using the relax mode but haven't measured my HRV or heart rate results yet. When I can get an accurate reading over a suitable time I will update this review.

I'm very pleased so far and the customer service that ZenoWell provides couldn't be better anywhere.

I can say this with authority as I've been a business coach since 1993 and seen some horrible and awesome service. This is one of the best I've ever seen.

Device doesn’t work as advertised. Impossible to get a sustained session. Very disappointed.

This is an excellent product and very easy to use. The relax mode is especially effective. The gentle stimulation helps me unwind, which has been really helpful for my anxiety disorder. After about two weeks of use, my sleep quality has also improved.

The Vita and Luna units from ZenoWell have made the clinical findings and potential of a from of Vegas nerve stimulation (VNS) available and more affordable for the general public to experiment with in its effects on general health and well being. While there are differences between direct and invasive stimulation of the Vegas nerve through an implant, which has shown clear benefits for treating inflammation and a host of related conditions, using the auricular stimulation of a branch of the ‘great nerve’ (Ta-VNS) is an up and coming means for a wider application and without the expense or complications of surgical intervention.

I have been recently exploring the use of Ta_VNS for my own long standing (42 years) condition of chronic inflammation, as experienced as RA and, even though the results are not clear cut or in any way resolved yet, there is a definite change in the balance between the activity of my sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems , as indicated by HRV measurements using my phone camera and light source (PPG). Changing this balance is a well recognised precursor to improvements in many conditions and states of being and mind. So my feeling is that there can be many advantages to personal experimentation to find how one or other of the various stimulation modes the device offers (medit, relax, sleep, and repair with one of the models) can help set the scene for very customised improvements over time.

The devices are straightforward to use with a good battery life and where the automatic 20 minute sessions are convenient for most applications. Using the earpiece can be a bit fiddly and inconsistent to start with in terms of holding its position in the right place and the use of a gel is recommended to give the best electrical contact. I am told that refinements to the earpiece are underway so that should improve consistency in due course so long as individual ear shape and size can be catered for.

Overall, a very welcome addition to the array of tools one can now access to empower one’s own health and wellbeing, in an age where we no longer need to be at the mercy of stretched or unaffordable clinical resources.

I recommended keeping a diary of how one uses the device so that long term trends can be seen. I know from my own experience that even the seasons make a noticeable change in my condition, let alone the effects of foods I consume. So experimentation and customising the sessions to find what works best is crucial and worth the effort. With the increased focus on customised medicine, it’s likely that a very individual regime of different pulse modes and durations will give better results that ‘off the shelf’ settings, although these are important to get started.

There are various unknowns yet in this burgeoning science of VNS and its derivatives. The increasing weight of anecdotal evince will play its part in motivating the appropriate clinical trials to be done. That can only be a good thing for all of us as we expand our understanding of the intricacies of the human being and how to meaningfully interact with our own nature for individual and collective benefit.
