Renting a car can be a lottery, but Zest seem to have hit the Jackpot. Good prices, sensible, affordable options and above all, great service. I had a question so I phoned them up. Incredibly for this industry, they answered quickly and resolved my issue in seconds. The local agent, Rentauto, in Portugal were quick and efficient and gave us a decent car. On return, they were exactly where they said they would be. I can't imagine how the whole experience could have been any better. Using again definitely!

I have to admit, I was hesitant to rent a car in Portugal. So many reviews on the internet cautioned about difficult dealings with rental companies upon return of the car. Then I learned about Zest and my experience could not have gone better! When I first booked the car I selected, I learned that it was not confirmed and I needed to contact Zest customer service. Since I was calling from the US, I was hesitant to call because of the international calling fees. However, Zest called me back so I wouldn't need to assume the charges for the call. The customer representative was very helpful in helping me choose another car with another rental company. She explained that Zest has a long standing relationship with the rental companies and that gave me a comfort level that I had Zest behind me in case there was a problem while renting or after returning the car. However, the entire process while having the car went very smoothly from pick up to return. I would definitely book through Zest again!

Friendly staff. ECH office a bit difficult to find from the airport terminal. Then a short walk to the car park ECH office. Easy access from this car park to the E45 motorway for all routes.
The car, a Yaris Cross hybrid was virtually brand new and the rate for a week was quite reasonable.

Service was first class.
We rented a mini bus and received a ford transit. Did the job perfectly, however the body work was full of dents and scratches and the inside looks old and worn.
Possibly coming to the end of its rental life.
Would rent from this company again as easy to deal with and no upselling.

I have used ZEST many times both personally and as a group of golfers. Every time they have given excellent service. During COVID obviously I had to cancel my holiday and a refund was made within days.
Most recent booking was several weeks ago for a break in Malaga. Again excellent service at a price I feel was remarkable. I request a specific car hire company due to previous experience ( see other review ) and ZEST comply with this. I always add cancellation right up till time of booking and Top-up insurance for peace of mind.
I wouldn't use any other company to arrange my car hire. A further small point I just remembered was last March when I made a minor complaint re signposting for the pick up area at Malaga airport. Quick reply from ZEST with a 5% discount voucher for my next booking. A nice gesture.

Easy to book and communicate with Zest and good to have ability to take out excess insurance to avoid exorbitant car hire company costs.
Inevitably Sixt tried their best to get us to fork out more money through upgrading the car or taking out their own very expensive excess plan even though we already had our own but that is outside of Zest control.

I always make my car rentals with Zest Car Rental. I’ve been with the rental company for over 3 years. They are always supportive, very prompt, and mostly, very friendly and willing to support you. The rates are exceptional and their Top up insurance excellent. Unfortunately I’ve had to go through the insurance due to an accident. Their service was also excellent and easily managed. I recommend Zest Car Rental to all my friends. Thank you to the team that have helped me and supported my requirements over the years.

Just a great experience from start to finish

RecordGo over tried to sell insurance, although I said I was covered the gentleman was rude to me. Apart from that their system was good.
