Disgusting treatment from zoom fish.
Just had my iPad requoted from £102 down to £71 because they say it's has couple of marks on the corners.my iPad 2 is 4 years old so you would expect some marks but mine was put in a case from day one and has never being droped or had any repairs,in fact it could have passed for brand new.I sent my iPad recorded delivery in its original box with charger and cable at the cost of £11 so I felt I had to accept the offer.
What a con.I was going to send my iPhone to them next but will go elsewhere now.stay clear.
Beware Scamming Cowboys!!!!😡😡😡
Do not use this company! Your item will go missing, they will not pay!
I'm going to see them in court, because we're not just forgetting they've stolen our IPad, it's only £95 but that's not the point, look through the reviews you'll see a pattern!
If you do use them, pay for a recorded delivery!!!!! 1 star is one too many!
Straightforward but revalued
I sent my iPad 2 to Zoomfish, I was reluctant at first and added signed for to the shipping through my local post office.
After a couple of days I received an email to say that they had requoted, £61 instead of the original offer of £102, whilst this is a huge difference and they do seem to be overly picky on what I consider to be cosmetic damage, they did pick up that the glass had been replaced at some point, which obviously I expected to affect the offer price.
This was still more that apple were offering, which was £60.
Fast and simple and the money arrived in my account within a matter of days, the only delay was due to me deciding whether to accept the revised offer or not.
My only criticism is the delay that I would have experienced had I wanted my device returned, rather than next day or 48 hour delivery, it was something like 2 weeks.
Expect your device to be requoted and you won't go far wrong with this company.
Drawn into false sense of security!!
I have sold three items with this company previously and the experience was relatively seamless. The common factor being all of these items were relatively low cost pay outs. When upgrading my iPhone 6 Plus, I was quoted £310 to sell my phone to Zoomfish, yet was very kindly re-quoted £271 once my phone had been safely received by them!!!. Just to confirm ALL of the items sent were exactly as I had described. My iPhone 6 Plus was in PRISTINE condition having never been exposed to the elements of life in any shape or form having had a screen cover attached to it from birth and also one of the book type phone covers with the bumper around the whole circumference of the phone. There re/quote I.e the £39 which they kindly reduced my price by was down to......wait for it..a chip near the neatly covered headphone port!! Now as I mentioned, the phone left me in PRISTINE condition and was even parcelled up in the original box. How then do you suppose that the phone got this chip which no one APART from Zoomfish had ever seen?? Surprise surprise - when trying to call them, I was unable to get through. The answerphone message which greeted me helpfully advised me that if I was calling between the hours of trading, they were busy on other calls!! Two words to offer as advice when dealing with this company are STAY AWAY. I have accepted the offer because my thought process is that the price will go down with other companies I could have sold to by the time I get it back from this 'lovely' company (after 14 days) probably with the additional newly acquired chip which has mysteriously appeared!! A lesson learned from me - Zoomfish, may our paths NEVER cross again. And by the way I am posting this review after I have received my reduced sum as I am sure on further inspection further faults may mysteriously appear!!!
Scam
Was quote £50 for an iPhone 4S in perfect working order.
Received this email after waiting 5 days
For your reference, there is an update to your offer price that requires your attention.
The new price offered was £10 and the reason for this was the phone was faulty. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the phone.
Be aware ZoomFish will offer a high price initially and then scam you once received. I am not the only reviewer who has been scammed by these guys. Beware!
Scammers
Went to these guys with a used iPhone 4. Was quoted £53 but on their review reduced to £35 for 'worn back case'. Not sure what they can consider 'worn' on the back case. Phone was in remarkable condition for age unless they damaged it. For travel reasons the 14 days till return prevents me rejecting the offer. Will never use again and as there is plenty of choice in this market I recommend others go elsewhere - as I will in future.
terrible organisation! if not a scam why act like one?
Always seem to offer the best price for your goods....which is great unless they lose them.....posted an ipad off to them as per their instructions and heard nothing tried to email and call them but the phones at MIllrace it??? never get answered, eventually i received an email response saying they hadn't received it from Royal Mail and they would chase it up..... 6 wks on and i have got nowhere. They don't seem to realise that i have held up my end of the agreement and that any postal issues are their problem as i followed their processes and used their system. Looking at the reviews online i'm concerned that they are either a tinpot company and possibly running a scam. DO NOT USE THEM.
Surprisingly Simple
Zoomfish offered the best price I could find for an old iPad - I skeptically checked all the T&C's to see what reductions they may make but after deciding to post it off it was received, processed and paid at the full rate the same day.
Don't use Zoomfish!!!
If I could give minus stars I would! I sent my iPad which had a perfect screen - not a single scratch ( the back did have a few scratches on). They offered me £122, I knew I could get more on eBay but this was the easy option. When they got it they changed their offer to £52 -less than half! So I said send it back. When I got it back there were 2 massive chunks out of the screen needless to say my iPad now has no value whatsoever!!! I emailed them twice to ask what they're going to do about it and they haven't even replied! Not only that I had to threaten going to the police because it took weeks for them to send it back and there was no communication! I paid an expensive lesson don't do the same! The positive reviews must be from friends and family of the owners!
Not impressive!
Quoted a sensible price online to sell my old working iPad. Accepted the quote and spent £7 to deliver the item to them. Zoomfish then offered £50 less then the original quote!!! Ridiculous.
Be careful, not as straightforward as it seems. Now waiting for my iPad to be returned but already £7 down.....
Complete waste of time and money.
Poor
The fact they wouldn't send me a code to complain on this site is warning to all. Absolutely awful. Over promised to not even under deliver - alleged faults with phone that were untruthful to scam me out if cash. Several complaints to their team met with wall of silence. AVOID.
Why no contact?
After four emails, three to the address listed on their contacts page one to a s****@millraceit.co.uk, with no response to any questions I raised, I am left wondering is this a scam?!
One iPad and one iPhone sent, received postal notification goods arrived at Zoomfish but no contact from anyone, no one to answer the tens of phone calls made at various times of the day.
Is that the end £107.00 ?
Sadly I think so....
a disappointing flaky experience
I sent off my iPad early August in the pre-paid packaging they sent through, which was all rather efficient. I called a number of time the a week later as I'd heard nothing Zoom Fish, not once did I get through. I emailed through there contact form several times as well. I finally got a response 3 and half weeks later to say they hadn't received the device and did I have a tracking number which I didn't. I've heard nothing since, really disappointing customer service.
I physically dropped if off at the post office so it's either gone missing within the Royal Mail system or somewhere at Zoomfish's end, I do find it hard to believe is simply went missing.
Really disappointing as I use eBay and use Royal Mail every week sending and receiving items and never have I had anything going missing. Also if I gone down the eBay route I would have got at lease 30% more then what I agreed to sell it to Zoom Fish for.

Quick and efficient turnaround - money in the account promptly - would recommend

A friend told me about ZoomFish because I had just bought a new iPad as my old one was in perfect condition but a bit slow. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I downloaded the label, packed the old one up and took it to the post office on the Monday and by Thursday I had a cheque for the agreed amount. Brilliant
Quick and easy
The good thing was that the packaging arrived very quickly and as soon as the phone was recd by Zoomfish it was checked and the money was in the bank straight away. The bad thing was that I could have put this in the post box but I would not be covered for loss or damage. Decided to send either recorded which was estimated to cost £3 or Special Del which was estimated to cost £6. Was told by post office they did not do recorded delivery for phones and special cost me £7.50 which was a big chunk out of what we got for the phone.
Smooth Transaction!!
From the beginning to the end the whole business transaction was completed in a swift and professional manner. I would use this company again without any hesitation.
Service
I am delighted with the service I received from yourselves it took two days from sending in my tablet to receiving the payment would recommend to a friend and use again
give it a go
Did not think it would be so easy...but it was...ok the price quoted was reduced due to cosmetic ware but a fare price was offered and was in my bank the same day.
Fast efficient service...paid on the day they said...good price given
Best service I have ever received when selling a gadget on line...couldn't fault it. Kept in touch at every stage and funds received with out any problems.
