Update: this case has been corrected by the company

I've now been contacted by Kotte & Zeller and they have refunded the wrong product I was sent. I appreciate the quick and correct handling of this case (after all). See my initial review below:

Made my first order a few weeks ago including a scope mount and some pellets. I was after the US made Crosman pellets so ordered those. The picture they have is of the US ones and "manufacturer information" on their site also states the same, so that's what I thought I was going to get.

To my disappointment I received the new Spanish made pellets which are definitely not the same product and for which I have absolutely no use. Some might say it's only a box of pellets, but it's the principle. If I get sent a wrong product I expect to get the right one or a refund.

I contacted Kotte & Zeller right after. It's now close to two weeks since and I haven't heard a thing from them. Luckily they got two out of three products right, so I guess I'll just take the hit and not order from them again.

First time post-Brexit, last time ever.

Apparently my review was removed the first time around due to insufficient information or something, so let's do this again with the order number attached. I also have chat logs and screenhots to provide.

Before Brexit End used to be one of the shops I frequently used. After Brexit my focus shifted elsewhere. Now that taxes and duties are included in the prices, and have been for quite some time, I finally made a purchase. That turned out to be a mistake.

After nearly 48hrs from order confirmation, and no shipping confirmation, I logged in just to see my order was on hold.

I was told by customer service that their warehouse had trouble locating my item and it might take 72hrs or even more during sale period to handle.

Either you have it or you don't. You don't just put things on hold without a notice for possibly an indefinite amount of time.

I requested a cancellation and a refund, which were done quickly, so that's a plus. It still doesn't erase the initial bad experience.

Never again.

Unfortunately, we were unable to locate your item within our warehouse, resulting in this having to be cancelled and a full refund issued back to your original payment method.

This is not an issue which we see very often but we can of course understand your frustrations, given the time taken to resolve the matter.

Appalling quality paired with similar customer service

I bought a fairly expensive bonded cotton Mackintosh coat thinking I'd get a quality garment for years to come. Now less than three years after a large defective tear has appeared on the front side of the coat.

I contacted their customer service in hopes of getting a warranty repair or a compensation of some sort. All I got were instructions to send the coat to Scotland for an assesment at my own expense or contact the retailer, which doesn't help in any way.

Mackintosh seems to take pride in quality and their garments being hand made but apparently you can get better quality garments from your local supermarket.

To avoid an expensive disappointment avoid Mackintosh.
