Cowboys in a shiny showroom
Where do I start.. I went to these coyboys with good intentions and £25.000 to buy a good car. I was promised a good car and a 3 month warranty. After very a very pushy sales pitch on buying a 15 month extended warranty for over a £1000 I felt railroaded into it.. after a few days and some research I found the company was one of the worst reviewed warranty suppliers out there. So I cancelled in my cooling off period! I just stayed with the 3 month promised by this gararge as per the advert. Then the issues started with the car. Water pouring in the passengers footwell. And the boot. I paid for it to be sorted myself as I didn’t think my warranty would cover that. I could hear a rumble after a few days that got loader! So I had it checked over to find the front drive train needed replacing. This was 1400 plus labour.. so I tried to claim on the warranty to find I didn’t even have one.. when I asked one stop car about this they emailed me we don’t have to give you a warranty. It’s only a gesture of good will so try take us to court!! I just couldn’t believe what I was reading. Quite aggressive in the way it was worded! I would think twice before going here! I was going to change my other 2 cars with these this year but this experience has shocked me. If I can save just one person from getting treated like I did then my review has done its job!
Wish I could put minus stars
I cannot recommend this company less.
Don’t get me wrong, the car was a good price. But that’s where it stops.
It took a while for them to turn round the car, and we were assured this was because they were doing these 100+ checks … however we were told different stories as to why there would be a delay for us to collect it due to “ a chip being repaired on the windscreen/ then this hasn’t happened it was actually a sensor being replaced / then it was because the sales man was on leave …) as we were told some work was being done we asked for the documents to reflect this and to this date (2 months later and multiple phone calls and in person visits and we still haven’t received it)
On collection day, we had two young children and were left hanging around for almost an hour so admittedly didn’t chase the outstanding paperwork as we needed to leave.. but on driving away, we started to notice a multitude of problems. Firstly the radiator fluid was empty. Then battery warnings came on, advising we couldn’t use certain features on the car because the the battery was low.
We called them, were told the car had been sat and it should all be fine, (turns out it needed a new battery- could be unfortunate timing but who knows) and we refilled the fluid. We later noticed the driver side door did not lock, the tracking was skewed and there was an issue where the car jolted when driving.
The company were good enough to state they would rectify these issues however, initially due to wanting them sorted quickly, were told there was no availability for a courtesy car, so I went along, expecting everything to be sorted or at least a plan. The battery was replaced however I was told they had ordered the wrong door lock, and there was no one who could sort the tracking issues “but this only costs 40 odd quid elsewhere so why not do that) and they cleared all the faults on the car and said there weren’t any issues. I drove the car off with an agreement the door lock would be ordered, the tracking sorted and any issues with the car jolting I would detail these for them to sort. On my drive home (30 minute journey) the car immediately had issues with jolting, and I took it to a local garage who plugged in the diagnostic machine and found numerous faults which needed sorting. I took a photograph and this was shared with one stop who booked us in in 2 weeks time so we could have a courtesy car and they would sort the problems. The date came, I arrived to collect the courtesy car, to be told I needed to pay for 72 hours temporary insurance ( not informed before hand) with only insincere apologies and no offer to compensate this, then given keys to a car which was dirty, smelt of cigarette smoke, had 20 miles of fuel and a rearview mirror hanging off by a wire. Initially I was told the mirror could not be sorted but given I’d already forked out £45 for insurance I informed them it needed rectifying immediately as I was very frustrated. It was stuck back on, only to fall off again on my journey home.
When my husband called after the 72 hours were almost up with no contact he was told it was ready. It was an icy day, the car was frosted over when we picked it up so clearly hadn’t been tended to that morning suggesting it had been ready since at least the day before.
The tracking is still not sorted.
Also worth noting, we heard a salesman telling a family they would not be allowed to test drive a car unless they put down a deposit!!
The whole place is ludicrous, I’d never ever buy from there again and urge you to trust your gut when you enter the establishment.
No pressure sales tactics used
No pressure sales tactics used, very relaxed and helpful, everything explained each step of the way, I can't fault the experience, highly recommended.
Purchased a vehicle today
Purchased a vehicle today, Daniel Charlton was very professional and great service.
Would strong recommend.
NOT Honest people
I recently purchased a car from this dealership a week ago, and unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory.
During my initial viewing, I noticed a tyre warning light and was assured that it would be addressed before the sale. I was also promised that the car would undergo a thorough inspection, receive a full service, and be properly valeted. However, on collection day, I found that not only was the tyre warning light still illuminated, but the car also hadn't been cleaned to an acceptable standard.
When I brought up my concerns, the salesman seemed annoyed and quickly took the car around for a brief five-minute check. He claimed that it was just a matter of resetting the warning light. However, as soon as I took the car for a drive, another tyre warning light appeared—this time in red. I returned to the dealership and approached the same salesman, who appeared even more irritated. After waiting an additional 35 minutes, one of the service staff informed me that everything had been checked over and was fine. The salesman didn’t even bother to leave his desk to see what was happening.
After an hour of driving( 60 miles away from the dealer), the warning light reappeared, prompting me to stop at a tyre shop. There, I was advised to purchase a new tyre and replace another one as well. This led me to believe that the car had not been properly inspected at all prior to my purchase.
both of the flauty trye was menton on the previous MOT
It’s disappointing to feel that the level of service changed drastically once the sale was completed. I expected better communication and follow-through regarding the issues I raised. Overall, my experience has left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with the dealership. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their customer service and vehicle preparation processes in the future.
Lovely car .after sales service is…
Lovely car .after sales service is disgusting broke down after 5 weeks and less then 500 hundred miles don't want to help you get it to the garage to get it fixed all they say is you brought a warranty you can take it any were so now left with no car and out of pocket to have it taken to a another garage wouldn't use them again .
FRAUDULENT CAR SALES
This car sales centre is fraudulent. I was sold a Land Rover Discovery which is now inoperable after less than a month with a fee of nearly £3K to repair - and that's just the initial repair. The mechanic can't see the rest of the issues without replacing the Turbo Chargers at huge expense. I broke down on the M3 in a dangerous spot. The AA Breakdown report found 13 error messages in the engine. I was told the car was in good working; this is false. From the very first day the car was stalling.
I have asked to return the car, they wont accept it. I have requested a refund for a faulty product which they will not honor.
I have cited the Consumer Rights Act 2015 along with the Consumer Contracts Regulations with regard to Distance Selling.
Please think twice before purchasing a car from this company - they are fraudulent and dishonest.
Friendly and professional
Friendly and professional. Lee gave us lots of information and we went away happy with our new purchase. Adam and Sam where very friendly. Customer service is def a priority. Car did have a minor problem and this was quickly sorted . They even took me home when I dropped car off to have the problem fixed. Thankyou so much!
Unprofessional.
Turned up after being pressured on the phone to put a deposit on a vehicle just to view it. Rang ahead by a few days also. Turned up after a long drive to find the car dirty and boot panels removed wiring askew and no key available for the car. Several stories produced about wrong name on booking and a suffered a break in. Unable to refund me because no supervisor present so had to call the bank to report it as fraudulent and then refund was done. Shambles. Unprofessional to say the least. Day off wasted to travel and fuel money out of pocket but refund returned eventually.
Excellent Service
Excellent Service, Hassle Free!! Drove away in my newly purchased car with in 45min (on a weekend bank holiday) thank you to Lee & all involved 👍
SATISFIED CUSTOMER
Very helpful great friendly customer service five star service thanks 1stop
AVOID THIS COMPANY… took a deposit and…
AVOID THIS COMPANY… took a deposit and sold the car to someone else. What happened to a binding contract eh lads…obviously the lure of more money . That’s for sure. Shocking treatment. Would give zero stars … had to leave 1 at least to write this review. One seriously disappointed person who doesn’t have a car to drive now. Awful service as can’t speak to anyone as they are not answering….
They take your deposit and sell to others
So these guys will take your deposit. Then knowing that they've sold it, will go looking for a higher bidder and sell it to someone else. Do yourself a favour.....STAY WELL CLEAR!!!
Shocking experience
Shocking experience. Agreed a deal on a car, left a deposit and signed a contract. They then clearly had a better off and sold it to them instead leaving me out of pocket on insurance I’d taken out to be able to collect the car and the time/petrol in travelling. Now they don’t even have the guts to answer the phone when I call but do answer straight away when I borrow someone else’s phone. Feels like a lucky escape…if they deal with people like this, what else are they hiding about the cars? Avoid at all costs…I wouldn’t trust them at all.
AVOID!
AVOID!
They took our deposit then sold the car to someone else the following day, leaving our 17 year old son mortified that he had lost his 1st car. Disgusting!
Wish I could leave a ZERO STAR rating. Absolute cowboys.
Avoid!!!
Avoid!!!! Look elsewhere for your car.
First rule always read the reviews because I really wish I did! It would have saved me spending more money fixing a car that apparently was road worthy!
One member of staff who I won't name was particularly rude - shouting down the phone and accepting no responsibility for the faults of the car sold to me.
I do not think any customer should be spoken to in the way in which I was. It's condescending and rude!!!
Seen a car advertised by this dealer…
Seen a car advertised by this dealer Volvo V60 R design and phoned up for a honest gauge of 1 to 10 condition of the vehicle from the salesman Rav . I explained I was interested in the car for my Dad but didn't want to travel 160 miles to view it if it wasn't up to scratch. His description was spot on and 100% accurate. Rav had the car MOT'd before I viewed it and had all the discs and pads replaced even though the car only failed on one set of pads being low. That surprised me as most dealers wouldn't have done this. The car was spot on when I got there to view and I was even picked up from the train station in the vehicle as so I could do a thorough test drive before deciding whether to buy it. Great service from these fellas very refreshing to deal with people not Salesmen. I'd 100% recommend this dealer and would definitely use them again in the future

if I could score zero I would
if I could score zero I would. avoid this garage at all costs. The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on... within 28 days of buying the car, the engine management light appeared. I have had to foot the bill for the diagnostic only to informed the part that faulty is "Wear and Tear" and not mechanical. Yes, that is the part of the engine that is not mechanical.
Avoid this Dealership and don’t buy the…
Avoid this Dealership and don’t buy the extended warranty it’s absolutely waste of money. Read the conditions of the warranty as they don’t tell you that you are responsible for all the diagnostic costs regardless the warranty claim. I bought a car from them and within 3 Months it’s broken down and they are refusing to take the car back and issue me with a refund. Which now I have to take them to court . Don’t trust Adam or Lee and avoid the Warranty at all cost. AVOID AVOID
Brilliant service
Very professional and greeted with a warm welcome. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable which put our minds at ease. They also helped us to get an affordable finance plan that we were comfortable with. We are thrilled with our new car and can honestly say that our expectations were met. We wouldn't hesitate to purchase again in the future and would highly recommend this company to friends and family. It was well worth traveling from London. Thanks, guys you were amazing!
